Got to see them in concert at my high school just north of Toronto in 1975. Still have a album from them I won on a free raffle ticket during lunch hour called New Day with hits like Wild Eyes and Ramona. 16 years old at the time great Canadian music was bountiful in the 70s.
@@squirrelbutler2119 Untainted by sexual depravity and obscenities., I think. You could sing along with no compunction, but now we have too many songs about really bad stuff. Poke her face? WAP? But that's just my personal opinion and it certainly isn't ALL music. I hope you have a lovely day listening to your favorites!
@@unacceptablefinnrazelle697 It's fine for you, and anyone, to have a personal take or opinion on a topic, but I think you need to get your facts straight before you form that opinion.... The song title is "Poker Face" not "Poke Her Face". So that's a pretty big error. The song WAP is obscene, for sure, but is hardly representative of all, or even most, popular songs these days. I just looked at the Billboard top 100 for today, and the vast majority are not about depravity or obscenities at all (in fact, if you exclude the rap songs on that list, there really aren't any songs on that list that are obscene in any objective sense. And rap is definitely the one genre you are correct about being loaded with lyrics that are misogynistic and/or about criminality....) Most songs these days are still 'untainted' by depravity or obscenities! Anyway, enjoy your day!
@@squirrelbutler2119 Hi! I appreciate we all have our specific tastes in music. I just really dislike being sucked in by some really good music, only to find out what the real meaning behind the inspiration was. I'm not lying about Gaga. You can look it up, she actually sings f@#& her face. My grandmother, back in the day, stopped listening to her favorite singer because he left his wife. I could never understand that until I got older. Anyway, nice talking with you, have a wonderful day!
Another great song by one or Canada's treasures
I have several STAMPEDERS albums on vinyl !! It was my first concert ,what a GREAT band !!!!!

I feel so grateful that we can still listen to untainted music. Bless them all.
I have no idea what that comment means....
