I don't care what generation console but Activision on the Atari 2600 had the best sunsets in gaming history. Enduro, Keystone Capers, Barn Storming just to name a few.
I remember this game being pretty to look at but it got boring really quick. IMO Megamania was Steve Cartwright’s crowning achievement during the 2600 years. Now that was a great game!
First Activision game I played; I was struck by how pretty it looked. I didn't buy any Activision games until Pitfall! There's only a couple Activision games in my later collection that I'd play now. I might have to give Ice Hockey another chance, since he rates it highly; I just got it a couple years ago, but didn't do much with it.
Funny little side note for y'all: When I was a kid I played this game called Putt-Putt Goes to the Moon and it had an arcade area in it, a mini-game very similar to this was in that and I played it all the time. Thanks for bringing back some memories.
@@juliedunken1150 Well I still enjoy playing it so for me at least I’m not ready yet. It’s one of the most important video game consoles of all time no question about it.
Hmmm now what movie does this game remind me of?….. hmmmm, idk probably just that time Snoopy was the Red Baron lol, anyways looks good, but I’m glad it didn’t beat Donkey Kong lol
Have you reviewed every VCS game now? Also, one thing I notice now that I've watched a lot of these reviews and comparisons on this and other channels... the 2600 actually has surprisingly fluid animation (compare to Intellivision, which had choppy animation) and this game even shows that it can scroll the screen well (Defender is another good example)... compare to the Coleco which couldn't handle screen scrolling very well. The graphics overall might not have been the greatest, but these two elements really contribute to the playability and control of the games.
Never heard of you, but "no swear gamer" is just what I needed! :) Grew up watching people like the AVGN, but I'm kinda sick of that kind of stuff now, and much prefer family friendly content. Good to know some people have standards still on this site...

Robot tank, chopper command! Totally right!
@@RustyRick both pitfalls, we could keep going 😄

Have the patch;. Enjoyed this title as a kid.

I can see where hitting the geese movements led to Stampede.
This was a go-to game for me when nothing new was available at the rental store :D
This game is so adicting... I love it!
Absolute classic game
This is one game I never had but will need to get a copy. Great review!
Straightforward game with extra effort spent on graphics. When I was young I sometimes thought of the biplane being used in some WW1 aviation game.
Has the classic 2600 feel. Not extremely exciting but worth a run ever so often. Nice review.
The game the Todd Rogers famously beat in a faster time than is actually possible.
One of many
Todd Togers also infamously beat Dragster too
Don't name him; use his initials if you must.
Good video and review of this game! I always liked the Activision game for the Atari 2600! Nice!
I had this when I was a kid and had a lot of fun with it. Looks like you were able to do pretty good on your runs. Very nice!
I always felt bad for the kids who got those beat the clock games. Getting this game new and going through course 1 had to be painful.
Once you beat a level, there's not much incentive to go back for more. That's my feeling for Pole Position which can be beaten in 4 minutes.
Can you review Pitfall 2 next, because I really miss these 2600 reviews
I'm saving that title for a special occasion, although plans could change...

>Cough< 😲 You thought E.T was better than Pac-man?!?
I dont know why but this game has never really been an exciting game in my opinion.
