I've said this every week since they lost to High Point...
WHAT IS GOING ON A UNC? They're 0-5. Something needs to change. I know Breschi is well liked, but when you've won five national championships, have a brand new $$$ stadium, have Nike money, have that campus, have those facilities, get a to 5 recruiting class every year...you can't go 0-5 and be unranked.
Breschi is going to miss the playoffs again, I think that makes it 1-6 that past seven seasons.
Why are there 64 guys on the roster? That's insane.
Is Duffy hurt or just tired of playing for this team?
If they get crushed by Duke this weekend, does Duffy get lured to Durham by Danowski?
And why did Breschi bring in Pietramala? He was seemingly run out of Syracuse. His d-schemes aren't working any longer. And why is his son starting? I'd be mighty POed if I was one of those other 63 sitting behind that guy. Dude is shooting .24%
If they get smacked by Duke on Saturday, which I'm thinking happens, they'll finish 0-6. If so, the alums have to be contacting Breschi and the AD and asking for some answers.
John Haus was basically a let down. And Breschi is turning out to be as well. Why is UNC letting the team fall into mediocrity? And, unless Chris Grey fell into his lap AND Cloutier got red hot at the right time...Breschi wouldn't have that national championship.
I'm baffled the alums and the AD have let the team fall this far. Underachievement is now the status quo with the UNC men's lacrosse team.
lot of fair criticisms for sure. Now that we've seen UNC beat Duke in an insane upset, how much does that change your feelings?
@@reidmcdowell1570 I didn't get to watch the game, but I know UNC dominated GBs and faceoffs. I wonder - is Naso hurt? I don't remember the last time I saw anybody but him take a draw for Duke. If he's hurt, that puts a serious damper on Duke's NC aspirations.
This game doesn't change much though. Finishing 1-5, plus a loss to High Point. What would the UVA or Duke or ND or Syracuse alums be saying if this was their team?
I think they've made the playoffs ONCE in the last seven seasons. That's just not acceptable at such a program. I have nothing against Breschi and everybody seems to like the guy. But, the program really isn't what it should be. And again, maybe that even goes back to Haus.
I've seen UNC play a few times this year and the team is all over the place. Offense has no flow, they just watch Duffy dodge and shoot. LOTS of defensive breakdowns too. Duffy is incredible, Krieg is stellar, their FO guy seems top notch, but five losses in a row makes you wonder what is going on in the locker room. And...64 dudes on the roster? Why?
