I had no idea nirvana had so many great songs, just being honest, i started listening a few years ago and it was only teen spirit.. i didnt know there was more lol
You’d be surprised how much you miss out when you only listen to the same song over and over again while not checking out the rest of a band’s discography. This specific song though, was never released officially until many many years later. And even then it was never put on a studio album this came out on a box set close to a decade and a half after Kurt left this world. It was unfinished, so it’s sound was closer to In Utero than the album this wax initially recorded for
i went from come as you are, drain you, teen spirit and heart shaped, to literally every single song, every miniscule fact, everything. My pfps, my usernames, my content, my room, Im starting guitar because of Nirvana.
This song literally means that he as a human and everyone that is a human lives on earth like a pet of Gods and we think we are really happy yet when we look at the big picture It will always be SAD.
Ashita no Joe (this gif is taken from the second season). Watch it, it's one of my all time favorite anime, especially the second season, the first one is really old and slow at times, so you could read the manga for the part that is covered in the first season if you want to, but I suggest you to watch the second season at least since it's better than the manga, at least in my opinion.
I interpret this song to be about the relationship between Christ God and Christians. You save yourself by accepting Christ God as your lord and savior, and that makes Christ God happy. And when you die, Christ God will keep you in a jar (heaven), and you will think you are happy. LOL

this song reminds me that I should never lose my conscience and remain emotionally dependent on someone.
Well spoken
-happy or sad?
(kurt) -sappy

One of my favorite nirvana songs,” and if you cut yourself you’ll think you’re happy” the most reliable lyrics ever
haha.. for me a little too relatable

I think it aplies for every abusive relationship.
He’s probably actually talking about dismantling the patriarchy especially when he says “your in a laundry room”
