With so many investment choices, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. I’ve been looking at some options myself-like fixed deposits and gold-but I’m not sure if they’re the best way to grow my savings.
I’ve heard a lot of expats talk about investing in property back home or even here in the UAE. It’s tempting, but I’m concerned about the upfront costs and managing it all from afar.
Property can be a good option, but it’s not for everyone. I’ve been more focused on low-risk investments like savings bonds and government-backed securities. They’re not the most exciting, but they offer some stability, especially in uncertain times.
But I also think it’s important to consider diversification. I’ve started looking into mutual funds that are tailored for expats. They’re managed by professionals, so I don’t have to stress about every little market movement.
I actually invested in Sukuk last year, and it’s been a solid choice so far. The returns aren’t sky-high, but it feels good to know my investment aligns with my values and is relatively safe
Assalm o alikum sir good afternoon, I always agree about your advice, my point if someone like me as a labour who has just 1100 AED overall and 200 is saving only…. Any advice for people like us pls
In my belief, Real estate cannot give more than 5% returns. I don’t know why would we buy it for investment. The property does appreciate however again not that much.. better to buy gold instead of a property.. gold would appreciate anyday more than property in my understanding
Diversification is the key, Gold was on highest price in Sept 2011, then went down. It took 9 years to reach back on Sep 2011 price in international market
…really? 8-9% is an easy ROI in Dubai with a bit of smartness, proof and evidence is all around you. I’m personally managing properties generating +12-14% in short term rentals in Dubai Hills Estate. Can’t believe how people like you just blindly state anything without knowing or doing your homework.
Question is whether be just correction or a major breakdown? Abu Dhabi has the money not Dubai! but mostly Dubai RE is talked about wondering what is happening in Abu Dhabi

I think all you need is an expert assigned by a brokerage company that will trade for you and handle your capital professionally and give you weekly return of investment without any extra fees attached.

Those are all great ideas. What really helped me was sitting down with Eric Paul Elmer, a financial advisor I’ve worked with for years.
