Ya landing was fine. Less filming and more left hand on spoilers tho, kinda triggered me. Unless he was using a body cam and his spoiler control is on his right (probably not tho).
The only thing really wrong I could find was the approach and where he touched down because of it. But it doesn't matter. Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing in my books.
For everyone who asking "Where is the bad landing" Here it is. He landed too soon, very2 soon, and he didnt even close to the center line. Thats the only thing i noticed, landing isnt about how soft the plane touch the runway but its about Center Line, Approach, and like touch zone
Those are notoriously sketchy to fly, small control surfaces and small wingspan, low on power and heavy, I've been flying 30 years and i wouldn't go near one.
I’m left handed and a glider pilot. You should be flying right handed and using air brakes? Noticed the air brakes were unlocked too. Maybe a little less filming and more flying safely
I hope you’re not the one flying... controls are made to be operated with the right hand on the stick, left hand for airbrakes. And I really can’t imaging having someone operate the airbrakes for you while you have controls, I find that straight up dangerous, although some instructors do it. As well, stop calling any landing that feels a little rough a bad one. If ut was efficient (short and safe), crew ok and glider ok, then it’s perfect. Butter landings are just showing off.
Okay, I can see it now, you’re operating the spoilers with an ambidextrously configured handle on the right side of the cockpit. I could hear the spoilers in use while you were turning in off the base leg and that would be my only criticism. Remember that your base leg is still a cross wind leg so you have to be super careful about stalling a wing, spoilers makes that more likely so take em down and pop em back up again when you’re on final. You didn’t seem to have any dangerous amounts of sideslip while executing that manoeuvre (judging by the string) so it was still all good. Your runway position (contrary to other comments on here) was good since you were plum between the ground obstacles around the start of the runway. Good landing 👍 (I’ve been flying for 45 years & solo’d at 16 Keval airfield Wiltshire)
Can land on concrete just fine, but usually operate from grass as some types don't have a sprung undercarriage which can result in uncomfortable landing if you don't get it quite right on concrete
A good landing is one where everyone walks away. A great landing is when the plane can fly again also. That was a great landing sir
Well yeah, if you have very low standards😅
The landing was quiet hard but better than my landings😂
@@pajarinennn5988 To be able alive is not a low standard.
Agree.
What was wrong with that landing Captain Clickbait?
It just wasn't a buttery smooth landing
KC_was Here u didn’t see it, he hit hard
Eh. I fly. Didn't look that bad.
@@kc_was_here737 maybe he called this bad because he land the glider too soon on runway (?)
Ya landing was fine. Less filming and more left hand on spoilers tho, kinda triggered me. Unless he was using a body cam and his spoiler control is on his right (probably not tho).
You're like those students in school that day they failed when they hav 90%
Yea, wtf, i hate this guy lol..
I've had rougher landings in Love Field in a jet, didn't seem so bad to me, with that crosswind you hit the runway right-on in my opinion
You know that if the last engine quits we’ll be up here all day captain! LoL
Poek
@@JamesDeanmichiganman1943 good luck ya
Take a glide Captain down to earth
That landing looked just fine to me. Nothing bad about it.
I get that you’re trying to be humble but that was a textbook landing, a beautiful landing in fact.
Glider pilot - that is bad landing
Ryan Air - hold my beer
"A good landing is a landing you can walk away from"
The only problem I saw was that he forgot the carb heat. Every glider needs a little extra carb heat on landing. 😂😂🙄
No, it's a really nice landing, unless you are referring to the centerline of the runway.
It was very smooth and inside the runway, I approve!
The only thing really wrong I could find was the approach and where he touched down because of it. But it doesn't matter.
Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing in my books.

There was another aircraft on the right hand side of the runway, he had to avoid it. Correction: There were two aircraft on the right side.
@@crunchwrapsupreme9372 Oops, great eyes. i didnt see it, bu he still do a kinda yankie and not that good approach and landed to early
At least you didn’t crash an Icon A5, cause I know I did.
I did that in Microsoft flight sim yesterday. I hate that plane so tough to fly
@@tylerkent1377 easiest plane imo
Haha how did that happen
They meant the park zone RC one
Those are notoriously sketchy to fly, small control surfaces and small wingspan, low on power and heavy, I've been flying 30 years and i wouldn't go near one.
Do you fly with your left Hand?
He's an Airbus pilot
Really! Does he not know the much needed spoiler lever is on the left side?
He doesn't have spoilers.
Please don't execute him Joseph, he did his best
Joseph Stalin im left handed i would fly left handed
Great clickbait, but I love glider videos anyway. Good landing.
Better than my rc landings
You can land...
An rc plane
All mine
Turn into heaps of
Plastic
Seemed like a good landing to me! I’m assuming you walked away. Unless there was some fiery crash the end of this video that didn’t get recorded
Takeoff is optional, landing is mandatory. Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing.
Not bad
You lived so it was great!
Stick in right hand, spoilers in left.
rcktpilot left hand in the controls no hands on the spoilers right hand in the go pro
William Lin best reply.
Mate please, when flying gliders use right hand for the stick and left hand for operating the brakes and flaps if you have flaps on glider.
I applaud you. I don’t fly gliders. For me an airplane with no engine is an emergency! Mayday Mayday Mayday!
Thanks
Any landing you walk away from ,is a good one
This makes me think of

Hey he landed, still alive all good to me.
Thanks
Don’t worry about it, every landed is good landing !
How do you operate the brakes when you are flying with your left hand?
He's probably not flying, filming with his right hand and his left hand is just on the stick. Instructor flying from the back seat
Bjorn Collins then he still should have flown with his right hand. Doesn’t make any sense to fly your first landing with the wrong hand.

Is that at Rufforth airfield? I fly gliders there!
I’ll take that as a yes
@@mr.ballio2201 .. Funny.. I've not flown from Rufforth in about 7 years and I was just thinking the same thing!!
Wouldn't let me reply but yes it is bud. Do you still go?
I thought that was Microsoft flight simulator X for a few seconds
I like his calm way of doing this landing! I think that all pilots are cool people! Are they even have a heart rate?😂
You walked away
+ the plane can be used again -> perfect landing
I’m left handed and a glider pilot. You should be flying right handed and using air brakes? Noticed the air brakes were unlocked too. Maybe a little less filming and more flying safely
Hint, use your right hand on the control stick. Your left hand is for the spoilers/brakes.
Bad landing? That was good!
Well done! Nice landing
Nothing wrong with that landing. Looks like you were on profile too
Better than Ryanair I'd say.
Did fine with that crosswind
Any landing you can walk away from is a good one
York is a great place to fly around, lovely scenery and great flying technique
Bruh, I nosed the clubs 2-33 into the dirt and made a 50 foot landing my first time. You did fine
Congrats and i didn't see a problem here....
A little short on the runway maybe...?
Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing
Good landing is the one you can come out the plane on your own foot ;)
Piloting with the left hand!!!!!!???? How do you manage the air brakes?
Did you walk away? Yes equals good landing.

Very nice gliding.
Controls looked a little mushy. Landing was fine.
A good landing is one that no one remembers 👍
Not that bad, but are you holding your camera while flying?
Thx for the 4k quality
Your alive ..good landing
As they say; a good landing is one you walk away from, a great landing is one the plane is reusable after
Left hand flying and righthand filming?
Who was that bad . You are alive .
I don’t get it...🥺 I re-watched over and over and it was fine, good in-fact. I did wonder how you were operating the air brakes though. (Anyone know?)
Okay, I can see it now, you’re operating the spoilers with an ambidextrously configured handle on the right side of the cockpit. And thats why we fly with the right hand on the stick and the left hand on the brakes and the phone in the pocket
Love how you were using condor
Just a bit off the centerline, nothing wrong with that. The landing gear has suspension for a reason, after all.
That looks like so much fun.
Not bad
Nothing wrong with that 👍👍👍
Definitely an instructor landing in this case
It was a good landing it's just that you were stalling on da nose
What do they say?...anybody can fly a plane, landing it safely is what makes you a pilot.
Looks like sim
that crosswind tho
Maybe try using both hands that God gave you.
Thats a lotta damage
who's controlling the brake handle if the left hand is holding the stick?
Looked fine to me.......
Please enlighten me.
Thanks.
good landinh tbh
Left hand flying?? Incorrect in a glider, when the AIRBRAKE control and the cable release are on the left hand side...
👍👍👍😎
Maybe it was bad because you were trying to film👀
Is this a game
A good normal landing, what was bad about that? All you heard was the tire and nose skid strip.
Instructor said it was worst landing he had seen 🤣😂🤣😂
I've had diarrhoea with more drama than that!
Not bad landing after all
Thud. Hard touch down.
I give it a C+
1st landing or 1st bad landing?
Well ... Not a bad landing at all considering the fact you were landing on a runway and not an aircraft carrier
...shoot, buster shoot
Looked fine to me
Since when do glider's have engines ?
When they're a powered glider
Gliders have to land on grass right?
Can land on concrete just fine, but usually operate from grass as some types don't have a sprung undercarriage which can result in uncomfortable landing if you don't get it quite right on concrete
Is that supposed to be bad? It landed
Leave the controls to the pilot in the back seat. Just limit yourself to filming. Or put down the camera and learn.
Bullshit, great landing.
AWESOME LANDING..... BAD CLICKBAIT
Pls pls pls tell me how to acquire a gilder like that
That was not bad
Is that it’s ......I was expecting the pilot minimum to be filling his boxers with human dung
It looks a bit unnatural
He almost missed the runway
Using the wrong hand for a start... left hand should be on that air brake handle
Too much speed?
Why were you flying left-handed eventually your gonna be in control of the airbrakes and you need your left hand for it
Where's the plane, you didn't show from outside!
