So is the amp inside the box? And if I were to get the 4 speaker box with the glove box sub I just connect the subwoofer to the other box without another amp needed?

correct. The amp for the 4-6 speakers is all inside. The WP powered sub has it's own built in amp and they just plug together. plug and play. Nothing else needed
