I can already imagine that the patience soul moght of been a frail if not even sickly child who came down in the underground to "be ridded of her illness", once she fell she discovered a whole new world as she explored the underground, whoever, due to her frailty she struggled even against mear froggits untill after many encounters, she collapsed near the area at chich we find her toy knife dropping dead from her injuries, and by the time Toriel finds her she simply finds the poor childs body, as her soul had already been collected by the local monsters, and delivered to Asgore

When Batty notices the spear aiming towards Mel instead, they probably figured out that it's more likely to hurt Mel (with the Blue soul) than just do nothing like it did with Batty (who has a purple soul). This trailer (?) does an amazing job of being actually interesting and getting you hooked onto the story. Idk why, but I just thought of a premise for UT Green (Kindness) It would be where the child has had certain experiences and decides to go to the top of the mountain to get fruit and as they are going back, they see a cave and stop and attempt to stop a small animal (let’s say a squirrel or something similar) and both of them end up falling into the underground and you could get a little animal companion that helps you with certain acts and maybe allows for some unique gameplay like the animal helping you get hidden items. Only thing I can’t decide is whether flowey should be like UT flowey or UTY flowey
flowey can be like UTY because i really like the idead of flowey being more freak when every human fall in undertale the first human (that comic of the patience soul) flowey acts more like asriel, and that really a good idea xd

An honor to meet you here. And I completely understand, not like I was expecting Kindred Spirits to align with Yellow since this game (I think) started around 2016 while Yellow started around 2017. But the Undertale community always can make things work; they just like connecting things together to cope with their disappointment. Also, your team must be pretty small and very busy if Kindred Spirits took 9 years to have its prologue released and have it's official demo in 2025, and the full game around 2027 or something. But I'll treat it like Silksong and wait, even though I have confidence that Silksong will be released in 2025.

Devs already said they won't consider UTY canon for this game. Idk, at least personally that attitude makes me consider the game immediately non-canon, will wait until a team with more appreciation for collabing to create an expansive and tethered undertale universe come along. If the new Undertale Green can do it, so can any, it's just a matter of them not wanting to. I wouldn't assume it's jealousy, not even hard feelings, but just a lack of appreciation for what could be two games perfectly coexisting together.
@@nekajuiineither game is actually canon tho lol just because uty is popular doesnt mean it's gospel, and its story is riddled with many issues both canonically and as a story in general- we don't want to be forced to follow their story (especially since kindred spirits has been in the works long before uty released) besides, utks is among many other projects that tell different versions of the same story (like the dozens of integrity or perseverance stories that are currently out, for example)- uty is built for its own version of the timeline, and so is utks as for the lack of appreciation comment, utks probably appreciates parity with other fangames more given the fact the story is built to avoid the forced inclusion of other humans in its story- meaning any story teller that wants to make a story about another soul can be comfortable knowing that, if they wanted to, they could headcanon utks as part of their overall timeline
@@poody_blue1116 I know neither game is canon, when I said "makes me consider this game non-canon" I worded it wrong, should instead have said "makes me not want to include it in my headcanon" I know the UTY story, as a fact, isn't too friendly to other prequel fangames given that it includes stuff like the map of where each human dies or the exact way the blue soul (presumably) died at the hands of axis, and I totally understand how you guys wouldn't want to be limited by that. Nonetheless, me and I know at least a sizable amount of others are definitely in the hunt for a series of prequels that can all coexist. UTY is a great game, even tho it has its flaws I'm sure you can agree, and it's logical that many will want to include it into their headcanon (not to say there won't be others who'd prefer, say, to include UTKS into their headcanon and leave UTY out), but the fact is UTY got so popular and is, honestly, such a good fangame that it left a precedent, and the fact that the Undertale Green team (the new one) will make UTY canon to their game is also setting a precedent that will, hopefully, lead us to a moment where there's multiple fangame prequels all tying into each each other, and I'd personally rather follow that than consider UTKS in my headcanon. Also, there's the fact many fangame players don't give a shit about a headcanon and just appreciate the fangames for what they are. This is all to say you shouldn't worry about whether I or by extension other people think your game should be considered for headcanons or not, make the best game you can and be proud of it. You don't have to justify yourself for your decisions. If you took the other route and made your game compliant with UTY lore, there'd be a crowd of people not wanting to consider it canon because they don't like UTY or something like that. Everyone has different takes on the Blue SOUL human. Undertale Yellow portrayed the blue-soul human as evil, Azure Studios made the blue soul a friend of the Moth, Taffy and this one made the blue soul a partner of the purple soul.
You know in the room where the barrier resides with the souls…in that room. Perseverance is right next to Integrity… Strange coincidence right? Just like how their items are found in the same area of the Underground and their coffins are next to each other in the coffin room in Undertale if you were to go into no clip and see the rest of them.

If I wanna see this in a lense where this is a canon prequel to yellow i'd like to assume it make sense they have control on save points before flowey existed. I would assume since research in determination and extraction is still scarce at that period of time. so no on can override their determination like how flowey did to Clover
It would also make sense that humans, regardless of their specific traits, are naturally determined but not as determined as either Frisk or Chara. Clover got the easy end because Flowey was doing all their saving and stuff, they also were just going along with the flow so their determination didn't match with Flowey's. But at the end of the Vengeance Route, Clover was so pissed and determined to enact justice on Asgore, they managed to out-determine Flowey's determination.

With the existence of this game and the weird colored fanon/canon lore We now have a reason on why the blue soul went on a rampage. Cus Batty probably died to the monsters which sparked melody's reason for murder Of course the Yellow lore might not connect with Kindered Spirit but it's still nice to think about it
If this game was connected to UTY, then it could be likely that Batty was about to be hurt and Melody knock the monster off their feet, causing the monster to die by accident. Like one death can be considered impure already, it doesn't have to be a complete neutral or genocide run. Just an flawed pacific run.

If Kindred Spirits started development back in 2016 with the demo being released in 2025 with the full release possibly being further away, this is going to be one huge ass game.

And I completely understand, not like I was expecting Kindred Spirits to align with Yellow since this game (I think) started around 2016 while Yellow started around 2017. But the Undertale community always can make things work; they just like connecting things together to cope with their disappointment.
Also, your team must be pretty small and very busy if Kindred Spirits took 9 years to have its prologue released and have it's official demo in 2025, and the full game around 2027 or something.
But I'll treat it like Silksong and wait, even though I have confidence that Silksong will be released in 2025.

Devs already said they won't consider UTY canon for this game. Idk, at least personally that attitude makes me consider the game immediately non-canon, will wait until a team with more appreciation for collabing to create an expansive and tethered undertale universe come along. If the new Undertale Green can do it, so can any, it's just a matter of them not wanting to. I wouldn't assume it's jealousy, not even hard feelings, but just a lack of appreciation for what could be two games perfectly coexisting together.

just because uty is popular doesnt mean it's gospel, and its story is riddled with many issues both canonically and as a story in general- we don't want to be forced to follow their story (especially since kindred spirits has been in the works long before uty released)
besides, utks is among many other projects that tell different versions of the same story (like the dozens of integrity or perseverance stories that are currently out, for example)- uty is built for its own version of the timeline, and so is utks
as for the lack of appreciation comment, utks probably appreciates parity with other fangames more given the fact the story is built to avoid the forced inclusion of other humans in its story- meaning any story teller that wants to make a story about another soul can be comfortable knowing that, if they wanted to, they could headcanon utks as part of their overall timeline

I know the UTY story, as a fact, isn't too friendly to other prequel fangames given that it includes stuff like the map of where each human dies or the exact way the blue soul (presumably) died at the hands of axis, and I totally understand how you guys wouldn't want to be limited by that.
Nonetheless, me and I know at least a sizable amount of others are definitely in the hunt for a series of prequels that can all coexist. UTY is a great game, even tho it has its flaws I'm sure you can agree, and it's logical that many will want to include it into their headcanon (not to say there won't be others who'd prefer, say, to include UTKS into their headcanon and leave UTY out), but the fact is UTY got so popular and is, honestly, such a good fangame that it left a precedent, and the fact that the Undertale Green team (the new one) will make UTY canon to their game is also setting a precedent that will, hopefully, lead us to a moment where there's multiple fangame prequels all tying into each each other, and I'd personally rather follow that than consider UTKS in my headcanon.
Also, there's the fact many fangame players don't give a shit about a headcanon and just appreciate the fangames for what they are. This is all to say you shouldn't worry about whether I or by extension other people think your game should be considered for headcanons or not, make the best game you can and be proud of it. You don't have to justify yourself for your decisions. If you took the other route and made your game compliant with UTY lore, there'd be a crowd of people not wanting to consider it canon because they don't like UTY or something like that. Nothing you do will satisfy everybody, so don't feel like you need to justify yourself to any detractor

If I wanna see this in a lense where this is a canon prequel to yellow i'd like to assume it make sense they have control on save points before flowey existed. I would assume since research in determination and extraction is still scarce at that period of time. so no on can override their determination like how flowey did to Clover
It would also make sense that humans, regardless of their specific traits, are naturally determined but not as determined as either Frisk or Chara.
Clover got the easy end because Flowey was doing all their saving and stuff, they also were just going along with the flow so their determination didn't match with Flowey's. But at the end of the Vengeance Route, Clover was so pissed and determined to enact justice on Asgore, they managed to out-determine Flowey's determination.

We now have a reason on why the blue soul went on a rampage. Cus Batty probably died to the monsters which sparked melody's reason for murder
Of course the Yellow lore might not connect with Kindered Spirit but it's still nice to think about it
If this game was connected to UTY, then it could be likely that Batty was about to be hurt and Melody knock the monster off their feet, causing the monster to die by accident. Like one death can be considered impure already, it doesn't have to be a complete neutral or genocide run.

Development is extremely hard when the team working on it are likely just passionate indies.
Yellow took 7 years to make starting back in 2017 and finally released in 2023 December. If Kindred Spirits started development back in 2016 with the demo being released in 2025 with the full release possibly being further away, this is going to be one huge ass game.
