I've always though James Conlon is an exceptional conductor and a special human being. Very, very few conductors or celebrities in general would ever reveal as much of themselves to the public as Conlon does. This is evident after listening to the lecture.

great lecture, but the answers to the questions (final third or so) are absolutely fantastic in their insight and educational value. James Conlon is brilliant, and i love that he embraces his prejudices and exhibits them. people think the key to the future is eliminating prejudice but that is impossible b/c it's a natural human tendency to prejudge; i think it is more important to be able to accept others with their prejudices and co-exist without mandatory acceptance.

i attended april 4th performance of DIE WALKURE with placido domingo and maestro conlon gave a lecture about the opera, what a great man and what a way of saying complicated things in such a nice easy and down to earth way, and don't forget he is a famous and important Maestro! i wish there more people like him, bravo Maestro!

it is only violence and oppression (abuse of power) that need to be eliminated.
