Thank you for your videos 🙏! My friend gave me her Meyer Lemon tree to try to save for her. It’s lost all of its leaves. We’re in North East Ohio 6B she didn’t water it enough and it didn’t have enough light. I’ve got it in my South facing window and under a pretty good grow light. It’s starting to produce 2 growths at the bottom of the stem about 1-2 inches from the soil, that’s it! I have learned that they are supposed to be trimmed off, is that correct? And I’m wondering what the chances are now that Spring is here? I’ll be able to put it outside in the sun for 8+ hours a day and give it what it really needs?!? Any other advice for me?? Thanks in advance and I appreciate you and your dedication to your plants!

Hi their, in zone 6b the winter months can take a toll on trees, even if you bring them indoors. Most times the lighting indoors will be not be sufficient enough. Watering indoors during the winter should be limited to once per week or even 2 weeks because. Since spring is closer, than slowly transition your tree to the outdoors so that is does not go into shock. Once temps and sun are optimal, you can than give it a good slow release fertilizer, preferable osmocote which is organic or give it a citrus only fertilizer. Keep it in a semi shaded area and not too much sun and watch it bounce back. If you expose it to the sun with very few leave, you will do more harm than good by possibly burning the trunk of the tree.

Hi, No I do not. That is illegal to do and can cause a widespread spread of disease better known as the citrus psyllid. www.usda.gov/media/blog/2014/08/25/citrus-trees-move-it-and-lose-it#:~:text=No%20citrus%20plants%2C%20fruit%2C%20equipment,it's%20also%20against%20the%20law.

@@elderyehudahwatchmanoftheg8425 thanks for replying. Have you found any alternatives? The biggest I found locally are 25 gallon Gro pro injection molded pots. But I'm looking for something bigger.

Does it really matter what time of the day you water Citrus and Fruit trees? I live in the Caribbean

As long as you are not wetting the leaves or tree. Water the soil only and yes it can matter , especially when you are watering in the middle of a hot summer. Most of the water is evaporating. Add lots of mulch to preserve moisture.

I planted 10 lemon trees from seeds and they are like 6 months old but half of them lost the leaves and have not grow them back. Do you know what may be the cause? How much should I water them? They are about 7 inches tall.
