I love seeing how ppl do water changes and though I do bubble scrubbing 2X a day I never really get to see the grunge that collects in the bubbles - wow. I have no problem watching right to the end, I think it’s because of the pacing of what you’re saying and doing. 👍🏻👍🏻

Loved the video. Definitely going to give the bubble scrubbing a try. I also think the mucus helps protect the coral from drying out when it is exposed to air... The bubbles must be triggering that exposure to air.

    Thank you for your video.
It's rare now to see something new.
The H2overflow is something new to me. You should consider using toothless ones temporarily after the water change to improve the surface skimming.
I like the idea of bubble scrubbing, used to do it every other day when I didn't have ATO and using filter floss to the point the pump compartment water level dropped on my AIO tank.

It's a joy to see how you maintain this amazing aquarium the bubble scrub really does a great job I can't believe how much slime was at the top thanks that looks pretty easy actually🤔 Man them Corals look great!✌🇺🇸😁

Water change is literally the worst part of the damn hobby. I’ve gone from weekly 10% changes 2 years ago, to a 20% water change every 1.5-2 months.
Next setup will definitely be designed with a lot of automation for sure.
    Nice tank! Awesome sps colors!

Great video, I've tried the bubble scrubbing thing but I never really seen what it's capable of in a much bigger tank. Also I'm more LPS so I'm not getting that kind of slime unless I'm feeding.

I could be wrong but couldn't bubble scrubbing potential effect the fish? Meaning micro bubbles sticking to the fishes gills?

  • @craigsreef239

Would you still be able to do bubble scrubbing if you had a clam in the tank ?

Can bubble scrubbing be done without a sump? Would pulling a wavemaker slightly out of the water work? Thanks

is the mucus released when the corals are aggrivated by all the bubbles ? Plus what about he fish and all that air in the water , is that not dangerous ??

Do you ever empty your calcium reactor and fill it or do you only top it off?

I've been watching your videos for awhile and you've inspired me to start a 300gal reef tank. I'm having mine custome built but I'm getting hung up on where I want my holes drilled for my overflow. What kind of overflow are you using? Is it the quietest option?

The wrasse has been in my bb tanks for almost 5 years. zero problems. Just bc "they" say you need sand doesn't make it true.

Hey dude - QQ - does your GEOS Calcium Reactor recirculate CO2? - I just refilled my ReefOcto Calreact 200 and it circulates CO2 from the top of the lid in the main chamber.. but unless i spend a while degassing those chambers its a noisy sob! I usually end up turning the needle valve all the way down until its almost off. I have a second chamber as well and was thinking I shouldn't even care too much about the re-circulation since what ever CO2 is not used will go to the second chamber and melt that media in addition to degassing... thoughts?

Tank is beautiful as always. How often do you check your ph probes for calibration? I've been getting crazy readings from mine and wonder if I was auto dosing I'd be screwed.
