If there are darker foundation shades available, it should work fine on dark skin like hers (AND mine). But you're definitely right about the textured skin, unfortunately.
airbrush makeup isn’t supposed to give you flawless skin it’s just part of the marketing, it has no real use to regular consumers at all to be fair 🤷🏼♂️ it’s designed for TV and film as the particles are much finer for the cameras used for filming, it can be built up to a higher coverage although it defeats the purpose as you’re be able to see the makeup sat on the skin which is what you are trying to avoid by using the airbrush. Airbrush makeup should look like real skin just slightly better

It might be the shade and the finish of the airbrush makeup. In addition, once you have enough coverage you can dry it down by holding down the trigger and not pulling back to release any product.I always have to mix for us brown ladies.
For full coverage you go closer to your skin, for sheer coverage you go further away - I have horrible skin & a scar on my face (under my nose and above my top lip) and airbrush is my go to. With airbrush use a damp beauty blender if you see areas that are “patchy” or uneven. Use any setting powder or translucent powder that you prefer. ♥️
Spray close for spot treating, spray further away for a wider cast. I also usually use circular motions with my hand as well. I like temptu or dionare better

I have the Luminess air brush machine with foundation, primer, blush, and eyeshadows, and in my opinion they’re all subpar. They can get wicked gunky looking on the skin and because you’re not suppose to (or at least according to the infomercial I bought it off of years ago) set it with a powder, it can crease so easily and is so easy to over apply. It would cling to dry patches and show up so badly on my skin. I used it for a week and never used it again. I have 2 of these sitting in my drawer just wasting away because I don’t enjoy them.
Can you try your regular foundation with the airbrush kit? I always wondered if regular foundation would work the same as airbrush foundation. Love the energy you have beautiful!

I like the Temptu airbrush and it has deep shades...I love it
its not going to work on textured skin, its not designed to work that way. Other brands have great shade ranges though.
