Good Job David ( and keyboard player ) ! As professional musician myself I know how insanely difficult it is to preform small events like this with with no band... A group of old stiffs are just staring at you no real monitors, no reverb , the sound guy is probably not even yours and the mic was probably set up for the last " speaker " and clearly outside with the worst acoustical setting imaginable ... this shows what real performers are made of its just you against the world in it rawest form

I have very sensitive hearing but I play David singing "Sound of Silence" over and over......and over... Most amazing voice I have ever heard.No lie! First heard him singing "Sound.." on the Blacklist and searched frantically to see who had absolutely stunned me with such a beautiful powerful voice. The tones and resonances in his voice are so unique and so well-blended! His range is absolutely incredible! He has a whole quartet in his vocal range. Awesome. People keep discussing the meaning of the song and commenting on his private life. That's a None Ya (--None of Your/Our..Business!). Lean back and enjoy his incredible soul-touching voice! That's what he's sharing with us; we don't need to know anything else.

To sound that amazing and powerful outside in front of a building with only a keyboard recorded without expensive camera equipment is freaking amazing! It's hard to sound that good with good acoustics smh💕

Whelp for all those ppl that complained about the whole auto tune thing, (which was added later by Conan's producers or whatever without David's knowledge), when he and Disturbed played this on Conan..here ya go lol David doesn't need auto tune to sound absolutely monumental and amazing..still the best cover of this song..ever
But if he sang perfectly in tune and they put autotune on it there would be no effect 😁 No producer would put autotube if ut is allready in pitch, only then for Tpain effect. So something was off and thats ok by me. But yeah most people who says there is no autotune dont even work with it daily and only knows it by the Tpain effect. It can be used very subtle to moderate like in the case on Conan and then it is almost unnoticable. Pros can hear it though. I like both worlds. Off key and on key 😁👍
David Draiman is a vocal God; I fell in love with Disturbed after hearing "Indestructible" 11ish years ago! I also checked off seeing Disturbed in concert in Milwaukee, Oct. 13th 2019 from my bucket list! P.S. I'm a 57 y/o w/w too.
I love hearing you do this so cleanly and finally deciding that you were goig to just let them have it near the end. Small groups are always very difficult and even moreso if you have a voice that cuts through the instrumentation like David's does. Absolutely amazing to hear that there is zero effects work going on here (fans knew there ever was) and that even the best of us need to breathe at times too.
Nah, he's angry because we didn't listen 4 decades ago when S and G warned us about TV, the Neon God back then. (Technology) We humans even made a new Neon God, the internet and Social Media came with it. Ppl are monkeys nowadays, not able to really communicate anymore. Always heads down, thumbs typing, making pictures to post online of what they eat, where they are (omg). Empty life, fake world, fake friends. And what an anger on those platforms. Lyrics were a huge warning, nobody listened. David's warning us again, but not so soft as S and G did.
I love the subtle changes he did to this / his verison of this song..more akin to his singing style of typical Disturbed songs. Really cool. Loved this.
