    I just came back from Aruba yesterday. What a beautiful island! Went to Flamingo island, and dined at LJ Smith at the Renaissance. One restaurant that I felt was left out is the Flying Fishbone. It's a great pace to dine for seafood lovers, and this is one of the best places to view the sunset. You can either sit on sand or dine with feet in the water. It's a great experience and in my opinion it should be high on the bucket list. I had the all inclusive plan at the Divi hotel I was at, but next time I might opt to not have it. There are so many great restaurants there that in my opinion the all inclusive route is not a good option. I love Aruba!

      Absolutely agree! I didn’t know about the Flying Fishbone will have to check that on a future visit, thanks for the recommendation 👍 we ate out every night and between finding low-mid-high end restaurants we just ran out of time - I agree ❤️❤️❤️🇦🇼

      @@TravelwithWendy I am not a seafood eater, and calamari typically makes my stomach turn because of how rubbery it can be. However, at the FIshbone, it was completely different for me. I had halibut as the main dish, and tried out the calamari. It was so tender it literally melted in my mouth. I was pleasantly surprised. :)

    West Deck is a great spot. We had dinner in the sandy, tree canopy area. Loved it. Very disappointed they were out of conch fritters the night we went. One of my favorite Caribbean treats from my days on Andros, Bahamas.

    I enjoyed watching your video. We will be in Aruba for the day as we will be cruising. Where do you suggest we go for dinner that is near the port?

      Oh there are several by the port - but I think if you would fine dining and experience you can’t beat the Steakhouse you’ll just need to make reservations

    My wife and I have been to Aruba several times experiencing both all inclusive as well as staying at the low risers like paradise beach villas we are torn as economically which is the best way too go any tips?

    • @TravelwithWendy
      @TravelwithWendy  2 года назад

      Ooh that’s a good question. On one hand the all-inclusives do take care of almost everything you can think of but the low risers are more family friendly and have activities the all-inclusives might not have.
      I guess I would say take a look at the amenities included in both and cost compare. Some of the front beach resorts aren’t as quiet as well. Might be worth the extra cost depending on your preference.

      Go to aruba in the off season from April to November. Join some Aruba blogs and you will meet people with timeshares in the low rise. Ask them about their unused weeks. You can get a hole week really cheap. Just try to plan ahead and be flexible on your time. My wife and I go for two weeks every year for around a 1000 to 1500 dollars. La cabana and the eagle lodge are two of my favorites.
