Yes you could. You could add a different colour at each side (or more than one, depending on the thickness of the bracelet you wanted, or the amount of colours you wanted) as long as you had an equal number of threads for each side overall. If you were working as a chevron. HTH 😊

You can work in any direction you prefer when both colours are the same, but I usually do forward knots on the left and backward knots on the right when I work to a chevron point. For any where the colours of the two threads are different I do a fwd/bwd on the left and a bwd/fwd on the right. But again you could do the opposite if you preferred as long as you kept the threads in same order after knotting. In the centre point I always do a forward knot as I prefer those if I can use them. Here's how: example: color1 + line1 = 11 color2 + line3= 23 here's how your pattern looks like: 11-12-13 21-22-23-24 31-32-33 11-12, 12-13, 13-21, 21-22 33-32, 32-31, 31-24, 24-23 23-22 for the center and repeat it till the end. it's easy.
I think I should have shown this one from the chevron point rather than the beginning bit where I filled in from the straight start to convert to a chevron. That would probably have been better as its own video. If worked from both edges as the chevron point (either filled in or tapered afterwards) it would be a one row repeat pattern which would be much simpler for a beginner. So worked straight as a chevron starting from the outside threads it would be fwd knots on the left (with a fwd/bwd every time the threads were different colours) and bwd knots on the left (with a bwd/fwd every time the threads were different colours). Sorry for the confusion!

Once the chevron is created it is a one row repeat pattern. You can really do any direction of knot while the colours are the same. i am not clear with this point...does the next step was you start from the third again or from the first?
Once you've knotted all your threads just return to outside threads and repeat the last row until the bracelet is as long as you want it.

You could embroider letters on. Otherwise you'd want an alpha pattern...
what type of beginning loop do you recommend?
A teardrop loop or an inverse loop would work well with this style, then you can work straight into the chevron style I think..
