Its a beautiful car, all the MK1s are starting to become collectable and the Quattro Sports especially in that colour are very rare. I would keep it as original as possible, yes strip and power coat the subframe and suspension components but messing about headlights and stuff like that will hurt its classic looks. Let it age gracefully. Looking forward to watching the restoration series. I'm sure you would do an excellent job what ever you decide. Enjoy.

Pleeeeease don't put DRLs in it. they look proper chavvy. If you are splitting the light,get some decent morimoto xenon projector
I love the white drls and the sweeping headlights though!

What a whopper. It's surface rust. I'm sure Josh will hit it with a wire wheel and some Lanoguard
