I never would have thought watching Logan before any of the other X-Men movies would have been a good idea, but it worked. That is only because Logan is just a masterpiece. If she watched Dark Phoenix first she probably would have written off all X-Men movies. lol I am so happy that in just a couple of weeks we'll get to see Deadpool & Wolverine reactions.
*Facts about X-23/Laura:* Creator Craig Kyle described her as quote "Pinocchio for Marvel Comics, she's a samurai sword trying to become a real little girl". Unlike Logan, who had already lived a long life before he became weapon X, X-23 never had a normal life, she was literally born and bred for one purpose, and one purpose only, to kill. And she didn’t originally come from the comics, she debuted in the cartoon X-Men Evolution in 2003. In the comics she had already killed enough people to be considered one of the deadliest women in the world before she met Wolverine, and that was when she was a child. Also she only has Adamantium on her claws and not the rest of her skeleton because she was still a small child at the time and the plan was to wait for when she was a full adult because otherwise she wouldn’t have grown into her body. So while she’s not as durable as Wolverine her healing factor is actually faster and she’ll never have to worry about Adamantium poisoning because the small amount on her claws won’t be enough to affect her in the long term.
This was a fantastic reaction, Sam is a PERFECT addition to the Kristian Harloff brand… and being a latino from NY as well, her commentary from that perspective is so refreshing… she killed me with the spanish speaking stuff too 😂😂

One of the best comic book movies and The Best X-Men. Amazing action movie and character drama. When the girl first loses it yelling at Logan in Spanish Mangold asked if she could do some improv, or visa-versa (She and her father are serious actors.) After the scene Jackman apologized to Dafne's mom, who was on set, for having had to yell bad language at her daughter. Mom said, "Dont worry about it. She called you a c*nt." (I dont think that take made it into the movie)
Director James Mangold said in interviews that Yukio’s prophecy from The Wolverine came true, she said he would die holding his heart in his hand, Laura was his heart.😭😭😭
I firmly believe Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart gave the performance of their movie careers in Logan. They were totally robbed of Oscar nominations for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor
I saw Logan twice in theaters and both times the entire theater (myself included) cried our eyes out. I still to this day can’t watch this movie without crying so much I exhaust myself. For me the emotional impact is fourfold because: 1) Because this one of the best movies I have ever seen in my life, even if it wasn’t a comic book movie I would love it to death. 2) I was 10 years old when the first X-Men movie came out so I literally grew up with Hugh Jackman as my Wolverine so seeing him end his reign as this character was both heartbreaking and rewarding to watch because this is the perfect way to close out the story of Logan. 3) My mother passed away 18 months before this movie came out after almost 10 years of fighting cancer, so seeing the deaths of both Charles and Logan was extremely emotional to watch. But in a way it was cathartic to watch because like Charles and Logan she had fought her heart out longer than anyone else possibly could’ve in her condition and after fighting for so long she had earned her rest. 4) Dafne Keen is PERFECT as Laura/X-23 and I hope to god that she becomes part of the MCU. Maybe they’ll do what the comics bailed on after only a couple of years and have Laura become the new Wolverine.🤞🤞 So thank you so much to everyone who made this masterpiece, you gave us the Wolverine movie we have always wanted, and more.

Great reaction vid, Kristian my bad in never commenting/contributing before now but wanted to welcome Sam! Great choice for a 1st time for her on your show reacting as her 1st time seeing Logan as a Latina and outside our normal sphere of geeks lol. And my fav part was Sam taken surprise by Laura/Daphne Keen speaking Spanish. When I was it for the first time in a theater in Mexico, it shocked me too. And was one the many moments I got emotional during the movie. Maybe moreso at the time being a father to a 3 yr old Mexican daughter. Wonder if Rocha had the same reaction?
First of all, thank you for the nice response and please don’t apologize. What a great first comment! Yes, it was the thought behind having her do this one for the first time. I wanted to see someone’s reaction who had no prior notion and then finding out she has seen none of the X-Men movies was the topping on the cake. Leading into these Deadpool movies her experience will be so much different than everyone else. And I like that and I like that for the audience.
You guys going to watch the X-Men movies? I’d be curious about DOFP and the Rogue Cut. I thought they were pretty different feeling movies. Keep up the great content!!
I love newbies watching a great movie for the first time, and yeah Sam that ending had me tear up as well. I forgot Logan was the movie that introduced us to the great Dafne Keen. She needs to be casted in better things than The Acolyte.
Hiya great reaction to an amazing movie , love all your observations , predictions and looks of shock and surprise . And what an amazing movie you are reacting to , I absolutely love Logan it was so so fantastic and was what all the comic fans have been clamouring for for years that Logan goes full berserker on bad guys and really messes them up but obviously the X Men movies not being R rated they could not go there , so we finally got there . Logan is so fantastically well made and so heart-breaking at the same time , Laura's line at the end " Daddy " Has me in bits every time ( I'm tearing up right now at your reaction ) and of course Charles demise is so tragic especially as you really hope he realises it was not Logan but was X 24 ( Evil Wolverine clone ) who kills him . ( I love X 24s look , obviously a younger Wolverine who they made look so different ) .And of course the very tragic end that the Munson family meet was so brutal too . The choice to make the violence so brutal and horrifying was so correct when Logan uses his claws it looks exactly as it should painful and traumatic , if this was not R rated it would have been such a cop out and watered down . Every one in this gives it there all Hugh and Patrick are as great as always even when playing a very different broken Logan and Charles , but Dafne Keen as Laura ( X 23 in the comics ) was amazing she was so charismatic , brutal and savage , all the supporting cast were great too Stephen Merchant as Caliban was great and had so many great scenes with Logan and funny lines too , Boyd Holbrook and Richard E Grant ( Classic Loki from Loki ) are great as the bad guys very boo hiss and despicable . Sometimes these Superhero movies can be a lot more personal and human and it does not always have to be about saving the Earth or the Universe , which Logan does so well a smaller personnel story can be just as powerful . Love the effect of Charles seizures and the little touch of having the X Men comics in the movie . I think it is the Adamantium laced to Logans bones and his claws in the not so great Wolverine Origins movie that has been leaking into his bloodstream that is poisoning Logan and the reason he looks so rough and that he does not heal like before . The look , tone and feel is so different but so great and has more the feel of a Western than your classic X Men movie , Logan is very loosely based on a story in the Wolverine comic from 2008 called Old Man Logan which ran for 8 issues and is set on an alternate Earth where Logan has given up the Hero life after he was tricked by the Spider-Man Villain Mysterio into slaughtering all the X Men , Logan is now a farmer with a family when an aged blind Clint Barton ( Hawkeye ) offers him a road trip to deliver a package across America which is now controlled by all the Villains after a lot of the Heroes have been wiped out , Logan is paying protecting money to the Hulk Gang inbred descendants of Bruce Banner who run that district . Logan and Clint have many adventures travelling across many territories controlled by the Villain's , after getting paid and beating Red Skull Logan returns home to find to his horror that Hulk Gang visited his farm a day early after their money and murdered his Family , Logan then hunts the Hulk Gang down and slaughters them all very brutally , he then adopts a baby Hulk and they ride of into the sunset , Old Man Logan was written Mark Millar and is traditional Miller story very violent , brutal and twisted . In my opinion after X Men Days of Future past and then Logan all the other X Men or X related movies , X Men Apocalypse , Dark Phoenix and New Mutants were very disappointing and signalled the end of the franchise they really should have ended with Logan instead of releasing the very poor New Mutants , Logan was a fantastic way to say good bye to Logan , Charles and Hugh and Patrick and a good way to say good bye to the franchise but it was not to be and now Wolverine is in Deadpool 3 out this year which I believe is an alternate universe of Wolverine , whoever takes the role of Wolverine in the MCU has got very big boots to fill . Logan is easily the very best of the Wolverine solo movies and maybe the best of the X Men franchise but I still really love X2 probably because you have all the other characters in it too but I think Logan just beats X2 as it is way more mature , I would even go so far to say it is my favourite Superhero movie . Heard a funny story about Hugh and Dafne filming the scene when Logan tells Laura to shut the f**k up and Laura starts shouting at him in Spanish , Hugh went up to Dafne's Mum who was there as Dafne was 12 when they filmed Logan and Hugh apologised for swearing at her Daughter and Dafne's Mum said that's OK she just called you a c**t in Spanish
This was a great reaction. I was surprisingly glued. Didn’t get up or even check my phone once. The only other X-Men film I’d like a reaction to sometime is Days of Future Past. That’s THE X-Men movie to me. If Sam or anyone else you know hasn’t seen Iron Man, that’d be awesome to.
Definitely. The goal was to show Sam this one first and lead up to Deadpool and wolverine. But now that I found she hasn’t seen a lot of of the X-Men movies that could be what we do.
18:00 I would think Spanish-speaking people would appreciate the effort an obviously non-Spanish speaking person is making to speak Spanish if they think the person doesn't know English. I try to make an effort when speaking, but because my Spanish is limited. I always start with, "I'm sorry. My Spanish isn't very good," so they aren't expecting perfection.
Patrick Stewart was ROBBED of a Best Supporting Actor nom, and win. Same for Logan for Best Picture. I loved seeing Samantha's reaction, esp since she's not into these CBM films.
I think you should make her do a rewatch of Trading Places, Caddyshack, Transformers (2007), Major League, the first 2 X-men movies, Deadpool, The Super Mario bros (2023), Sherlock Holmes (2008), The Incredible Hulk (2008), the Spider-man trilogy with Tom Holland, Avengers Endgame, Ghost Busters 1 and Afterlife, X-men first class, and Days of Futures past, the 1990's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and the Ron Perlman Hellboy movies.
I think she has seen some of those. She was a child of the 80s so I think it was once her mama duties took over that she didn’t get to see as much. Kind of like what happened with Brett.
@@TheKristianHarloff oh maybe see if you could find someone who hasn't seen the movies that I mentioned I'm sure Greg Alba hasn't seen most of the movies that I mentioned.

Great reaction!!, Sam was great too!
Thank you!
You must envy the first time viewer. Great video
I do! Watching Deadpool next!
14:05 The albino mutant is called Caliban, and his power is tracking other mutants.
Thank you!
Sounds like Krisitan has got a show he can fully watch on here. Sons of Anarchy
Good one for sure!
Such a great reaction! Sam was awesome, you both have a great screen presence together. Look forward to more reactions!
Thank you. Yeah I have known her since first grade!!
I love newbies watching a great movie for the first time, and yeah Sam that ending had me tear up as well. I forgot Logan was the movie that introduced us to the great Dafne Keen. She needs to be casted in better things than The Acolyte.
Agreed
Sam is coolisima! Great reaction video!!
Yes! Thank you!
I’ll watch any movie with you bro! If you need someone who can hang in there, I’m game! My friends can’t stay awake through a whole flick 😂
I’ve been really loving the reactions lately! Great additions to the channel. Sam is great! 👍🏻
Thank you and yeah Sam is the best!
My brother I am loving all this new content. Fantastic bro!
Glad you enjoy it!
Super well thought and insightful,. Thank you so much for taking the time to do that and I’m so glad that you enjoyed this video. Thank you so much.
Love the reactions!
Thanks!!
Long Live One Of The Best Comic Book Film❤❤❤
So good.
This was great!
She’s such a joy to have around. Can’t wait for more!
Agreed! Known her since first grade!!
@@TheKristianHarloff and as a Latino myself. She’s got that flare I love it! Those are best of friends always!
Super fun watch. More please :)
Thank you! She will be back to do the Deadpool movies with me. Very soon.
Loved watching this with you and Sam! Cannot wait to see more!
So glad! People finally get to meet Sam!
The intro about the Spanish was hilarious 😂
Hahaha
The movie is marvels best of the best !!
That was a fun watch
Thank you!
EXACTLY! That is why I thought she would be great for it.

Sam was great! Loved the reaction
Thank you! Loved having her on!
Great reaction! Looking forward to seeing Sam more.
Don’t know how you’d do it but hopefully we can get Winston to sometime watch Braveheart too!
If he comes to NY! Im not doing these virtual.
I'm glad Sam was able to get into it and know what's going on without seeing the other X-Men movies. I hope she goes back and sees the other ones at some point. Although, she'll probably get confused given all the continuity issues. It's a decent enough franchise, but it's also very sloppy. I look forward to seeing Sam for the Deadpool reactions. She's really cool.
Yes. It is why I had her start with this so it leads into the Deadpool movies. And then we will go back and watch the others. I’m glad you guys got to meet her. She’s awesome. I’ve known her since the first grade. Super funny and definitely tells it how it is.
this was awesome reactions, a great mix of jokes but also taking the movie in. i look forward to more reactions with her, Fury Road must be one at some point
Yes, that’s why I asked her if she seen any of the new ones. And I was glad that she didn’t. I’ll probably start with Furiosa and then lead into mad Max fury Road.
All of the reactions you've been doing Kristian are so damn good
Thank you so much
You were right. Sam will be your best reactor!
Very happy you guys enjoyed this one!
Amazing reaction! I hope after the deadpool stuff react to the x men stuff. Loved her reaction so much!
I hope so too! She is coming over this week so we can watch the Deadpool movies.
This was a fun one
Appreciate that!!
DUDE!!! You got so many DOPE ASS SHOWS!!!! 🤩🤩🤩
Thank you!
