Looking good Matty. Glad to see you can at last get a bit of time in the shop. I think the "dimensions subject to change" affects us all in our own shops as well. :-) regards from the UK
Looking good so far Matty. This will be a very useful tool when you've finished it. Don't put too short a shaft on it. You might need the reach for doing tall vertical cuts. Leave it a bit oversize for starters. Tony
Hey Matty. Good to see you're still ok, and good to see the mill being used. I'm a bit behind on watching (and making) videos. I can see you have another one recorded though, so I'm off to watch that one too now. Cheers, Craig
Getting there Mate . If you have trouble with chatter with boring , slow down the lathe , have the tool just a tad above centre & as short as possible . I have had a lot of trouble with chinese boring bars , all they do is chatter , more chatter that you would find at a CWA meeting ! Cheers .
Gday Chirpy, im going to at this stage use the Tig to weld the shank on, this will hopefully reduce the warp and hopefully still be strong enough, fingers crossed
FANTASTIC I will be following this with great interest.
Great to see you back and at a new project again , thanks for the video
Looks good. I made the same tool holder, starting from a bolt and a nut. Works really well.
Looking good, Gary

Will work great!
"Dimensions subject to change without notice" so true in your own shop lol
Looks like a good fit on the tool

And there’s a bloody lot of chatter in there mate hahahaha
Looks good matty, I was wondering how your going to counteract the indexing ring warping when welding it onto the tool holder shank?
