Blue Star Ferries have always been one of my favourite ferry company to travel with. I love the scenic routes they take, and the compactness of the ships.
As a great fan of Greece and ferry travel I absolutely enjoy your video's. Not only the ones on Greek ferries 😄 I hope one day you make a video going from Naxos to Amorgos on the Express Skopelitis, the cult ferry of the Small Cyclades.
Whenever I go to the Greek islands it’s always windy, that’s what makes them so nice in the summer in the heat, would say it was going at about 22kn, thanks for watching it👍
Yes. Kustenwachen. Frontex. Guarding the population number of foreigners going to take money from the german system. They don't want to many of them. And since its not a greek interest they came to supervise the borders of germany. 😂😂😂
Just a guess: It is assigned to some "international policing activities" and made an intermediate stop in Greece (before going through Suez channel eventually. The last known position I could find was Maputo 15.07.2021 ...
@@MHG1023 Since you're taking my comment seriously 🙂: This cutter is part of the German CG contingent seconded to FRONTEX, the EU border and coast guard agency. Most likely patrolling for illegal migrants heading for the EU, given that Samos is just a stone's throw off the Turkish shore. Obviously a champagne deployment, all things considered.
@@mwolfer1 Samos is not part of the islands that shape a circle ⭕. Cyclades. It's part of 12 islands (two + ten + island - do + deka + nisi) Dodekanise. As you mentioned a stone throw from a country practicing a very different culture. At least I try not to hurt anyone's social feelings. Since you knew the answer why you asked in the first place ? Yes. Kustenwache. Frontex. Guarding the population number of foreigners having illegal swimming entry competitions from the "other" country, going to take money from the german system. They don't want to many of them. And since its not a greek interest 100% they came to supervise the borders of germany. 😂😂😂
@@iggo45 Thanks for correcting my mistake, I should have known better. I asked the question, and then magnified a still image to be able to identify the banner on the cutter, which read Frontex. Maybe you didn't pick up on me having my tongue firmly in my cheek in the original question. Is it correct that I hear little bit of anti German sentiment in your last sentence? Most likely from Angela Merkel's position on Greece paying back their loans during the mid 2010s financial crisis? 😉

I'm a fan of Greece and Greek shipping.
What speed does she cruise at? It looks pretty fast. Is it usually as windy as that? It seems to be pretty much most of the time.
Max speed 29 cruising 24.5

can you do a video onboard Minoan Lines?
Will you do a video about the new(revived) Cyprus Greece line? :)
A German coastguard ship (at the end)?

like 161😀
the ship goes up to 35 knots!
Last frame: Küstenwache? What is a German coast guard cutter doing in the Cyclades? Little tax payer funded jaunt to the Mediterranean?
Enjoying their vacation hopefully 😃
