I got into 2k 21 late and my experience was terrible the gameplay to me was just frustrating the logic of players how shooting was inconsistent i just hope 22 is much better.

2k in the same position as Madden, both are in desperate need of a totally new engine to advance the game but neither company has incentive to put the effort in to push boundaries
I got NBA 2K21 on the Series S and online play is unplayable due to the server latency that has plagued 2Ks online forever now. I still haven't even won the championship in my MyCareer
2K21 was all right. It definitely had its flaws, but I did like the fact that they added the ability to choose to go to the G-League into the My Career mode. I'll probably stick with 2K21 for a while, unless 2K22 is amazing from day one. I don't expect that to be the case.
2k21 next gen always looked like an old NBA live game while in motion. Super animation dependent, insane boosts in speed into dunks or layups and skating around the court.
I honestly liked 2k21 next gen, I liked it way more, I only played offline tho, I’m honestly not that excited for 2k22, as I feel 2k kinda got stuck with people not being able to get their hands on a next gen console
Offline is fun if you’re a true fan of the NBA and basketball(PNO) can be added to that. A lot of the online tryhards just cheese and abuse glitches, barely even basketball
@@JqlenBI found mynba to be the best game mode this year. I found ways to make it super fun and enjoyable. Myteam was super good until they started making every single card a 99
@@skins1024 yeah I usually play MyNBA when I get bored of the city/park. I either do my own legends league like Dom does, normal regular season with all the current teams or a Playoffs bracket near the end of the year with all the right seeding and play to see what happens virtually. It’s fun when you actually try to play like the real team does and not just using the cheesy and broken moves.
I started on 21 on current, didn’t care for it. moved to next gen and didn’t have many friends get the PS5, so it got dull, moved back to current gen, had a blast on Rec with my friends like previous years. Now I’m not sure which 2k22 version I’ll be on full time because they won’t show us much of either game lol
Funny I told my squad we played our last game of rec together in 21 cause I’m uninstalling it tonight. Going to make some mixes for my favorite myPlayers then I’m done with 21. Has only barely been more fun than frustrating.🙅🏾♀️

I've bought the last four 2K's. This year I don't think I've opened the game in months. My attention has been shifted from about 50/50 baseball basketball to like 99/1 towards baseball, partially due to not having enough time anymore to give my attention to two sports, and partially because 2K was a huge reason that I've been able to love the sport of basketball. But I'm tired of spending $60 (this year $70) and preordering the brand new 2K, just to be disappointed every year. This will be the first year since before I went to high school now that I have zero intentions of buying the new NBA 2K game, and that's a little disappointing to me. I want to continue to watch your videos, but make sure to give us all an update when 2K becomes good again.

I uninstalled 2k21 Next gen immediately after I blew a wide open layup to win the game, mind you my player has a 90 for layups. After that I couldn’t play it anymore, bring on 2k22 just so I can stop playing it in January 🤦🏾♂️
2k22 isn’t gonna be any better. Stop buying, and *especially* stop preordering these low effort releases; and once they start pulling negative revenue for a game with barely any sales/ no player base, it’ll force them to both: A) drastically step up the game quality and B) value fan feedback Things like better cyberface scans, better AI play quality, better gameplay, announcer recordings; all of these things should be basic expectations every year… not a selling point. 2k really got some of the laziest and most disrespectful devs on planet Earth and the fact they still secure preorders is embarrassing. If you don’t want 💩, stop paying for it.

I started next gen 2k in about May. Playing rec was the only thing I done on the mycareer side of things and that was fun because of my squad definitely not the game and its endless AI. Play now online was extremely slow and buggy. Couldnt change match ups without it glitching out, changing between a zone and man-to-man would take 4-5 possessions and shooting was horrible. Play with friends was absolutely horrendous! couldn't switch jersyes before the game, no button to randomise the teams, updating trades was always late and when you picked home or away it would put you on the wrong team meaning you had to quit and restart. Worst of all was then the playing with friends linked to your play now online record for absolutely no reason! 2K21 current gen was more enjoyable than next gen for sure.
I have the game for current and next-gen Xbox series X I only play 5v5 (rec, pro am, play now) and 2k21 just wasn’t it for all the reasons you stated I actually started playing COD again which I haven’t played in 5-6 years. 2k needs to restore the feeling.

I know for me personally I was excited for 21 and I even bought the Kobe edition but I was disappointed in the gameplay I felt like 2k20 was better and ultimately a lot of my friends and I stayed on 20 I’m not the biggest 2k guy but it felt like a decline personally

So I decided to download 2k20 again, but the difference in the gameplay was wild. I could not play that game bro 😭 it felt like my character was slower even though I had 89 speed with 93 acceleration. The bot teammates on mycareer were even more stupid, and you just had less overall control on your character. Anything is better than 2k20, so imma buy 22 soon.
I know you don’t mess with MyTeam, but it’s huge that there is a current gen $250k and next gen $250k tourney. Gives a bunch of us a bigger chance at it and it breathes life into it
Honestly I’m probably not gonna even try to get a Ps5 until next year or the year after. Until my games start to not be able to handle next gen games. So far I’ve only seen certain games that are improved significantly in terms of graphics. Load times are crazy on PS5 but I’m there’s only certain games right now on next gen where the graphics between 4&5 aren’t even comparable. So yeah ima wait until they can actually keep them in stock.
I wish current gen could get some love. It sucks I can't do mycareer offline. Not fortunate enough to have great internet. I know 2K will do their best to make next gen better, but it just sucks because not everybody has next gen consoles because of the shortage and scalpers charging more.

I played on last gen the whole cycle even after I got my hands on a ps5. I mainly do my league sims so the next gen version of it didn't seem worth an upgrade. I hope 22 fixes the servers so I don't feel like I'm playing in quicksand even on great internet and maybe fixes some of the myleague bugs that's been in the game for years
Besides death, being sick from covid in severe cases, being on quarantine shouldn’t alter a GAME DEVELOPER at all.. they arnt power grid workers. They need a fast computer, paper and internet connection… you sayin the stress? Of normal life as a game dev
