I ate here for my birthday and got an amazing burger. I saw a huge hair cooked into the meat but before I could say anything the waiter spotted it, told me not to touch it and got me a fresh one. The waiters then gave me a free glass of wine, free chips and free dessert. I didn’t even have to utter a word. Insane food and service from this place, can’t wait to come back.
That’s awesome! That’s how they make things right and earn a repeat diner.

I have always been fascinated by watching videos of how the chefs work hard to create delicious meals and make customers happy. Being a kitchen porter myself at my local restaurant, I'm already witnessing the experience of a busy kitchen. Hoping your restaurant is going well

Beautiful team work and call outs, food looks great, nice usage of timers and probes for accurate temp readings, hand washing after every bare contact with raw meats, I'd eat at this place 100%. Keep up the great work guys! Cheers.

ive just spotted something, on every video when you wash hands, at no point does the handle actually get cleaned, which means the raw meat etc is constantly on the handle, so when you have washed your hands and you turn it off, that residue is now on your hand again..

I love seeing the broken timer that you slam down because kitchens very rarely get new equipment, and when it does you get really excited about it. A new shiny metal sheet pan? HELL YEAH.

Personally prefer the josper grill. I changed my job from a normal open grill/robatta gril and its a big big difference... Josper acts a bit like a oven as well if you distribute the coal on one side... Most of my dishes now stay in the josper untill mains away without burning. Steaks burgers not a problem. Fillets of fish 3-4 minutes ready. Duck breast whole fish . You name it everything goes in 😂

i dreamed of being a chef but i wasnt cut out for it (believe me i tried). this video gives me the shakes. I have so much respect for cooks

Worked on a grill in the summer whilst fasting it teaches you what it takes to make food and how to appreciate a job when other are working in difficult conditions

He's organized, thorough, and efficient. But I wouldn't say this is a crazy busy restaurant.
It looks like a regular service for the lunch crowd. An open kitchen with a staff of 8? In my mind, that's a glamour job.
Fairly calm lunch. Dinner is a whole other story
I have no idea how you keep track of everything, that's amazing. All those shows on TV "you could totally be a chef yourself!!!", and then you see it done: " um, no. lol".
(it's neat to see you still use a thermometer tho)
It's a tough gig because it's not just what your cooking at the time you've got to remeber to start cooking for other tables and match the other chefs, I always think of it like a dance or performance. Having timers massively helps and some places will have 10+ timers for meat and fish section. In reality you've got to be a bit mental to do the job.

After 30 years or more you won't have to take the temperature of that fish but just give it a light press and you'll know if it's done

That’s what I’m saying! At one point he handles fish with bare hands then pulls out a burger then messes with fish again THEN cleans the cutting board and thermometer with same rag and then proceeds to slice up a steak…never washed his hands once.
I’m confused. That first burger patty just got two slices of cheese. Each of which seemed to hav paper in between. Did a burger just go to expedite with and then maybe a table with paper on it?

How are the ribs kept at a safe temperature if they are kept in a drawer, and are the wiping rags changed throughout service?
It's slightly disturbing when the chef in the opening minute of this video arranges the bacon on that burger and then wipes his fingers on that filthy cloth.
if you pay attention he doesn't wash his ands after touching raw beef and fish then touches cooked meat, surfaces and utensils
