I'm 52, and when I grew up in the 70s and 80s, race was rarely even brought up as an issue. We weren't taught to think of people differently because of their appearance. My friends were from many backgrounds, but we still had the same interests, and had so much fun together. It hurts my heart when I see young people, especially, who think our current environment is the norm. This is nothing like what I grew up with. The divisiveness is painful, but I guess that's how the power-hungry in our country think they're going to break us. We all need to hold strong and continue to push back because this is not who we are today, nor is it what we want ever again.

The truth hurts. These people have been duped for decades and probably a half century.. except for George W bush every Republican has done everything they could have pulled us out of the war and not get us into it.. the Republicans are much better with military and crime control but the military is to build it up and have the best defense so Nobody messes with us or much of the world.
This lady dressed up like Uncle Sam was saying that the United States pulled out in Russia moved in but that's a lie. She just doesn't know the facts.. she probably heard that from one of her friends and she keeps spreading it on and on and it's just completely untrue.. when the United States defeated 95 or so percent of Isis in Syria and Iraq AFTER PRESIDENT OBAMA PULLED MOST OF OUR TROOPS OUT OF IRAQ THE END OF 2009, our military defeated Isis or 95% of them within two and a half years of Trump's presidency we were moving our military out of Syria and Northern Iraq and the Turkish military was going into replace us just to make sure that Isis didn't rebuild. what happened was the Kurds needed to move out of about 50 miles of territory and they didn't have cars but just carts with animals pulling their stuff. They couldn't move out fast enough and the Turkish military and tank started moving in there and blowing them to hell. I remember watching this on TV and I was crying because I couldn't believe that our NATO Ally was doing this. These people needed at least three or four weeks to move their homes and get out of the way and the Turkish military didn't give them that time. So many innocent people were slaughtered from their tanks and vice president Pence went over to meet with the Turkish president about a week or so into this nightmare and he was mad as hell. I've never seen Mike Pence mad until he was walking into meeting with the leader over in Turkey. It was good he did because that stopped immediately. Those poor cards are innocent peaceful Muslim farmers. It was so sad what happened.
It was not the Russians but it was our NATO allies Turkey.. this woman might be referring to that or she could be spreading a flat out lie about something else rather than just misinformation etc etc..
There's nothing wrong with listening to different perspectives. Being informed helps you make better decisions.

My grandfather died over 3 years ago, he was a WW2 flying ace, POW, Lt. Col, and assistant director in Hollywood. He had voted Democrat his entire life, but after Obama and then seeing Trump run, he switched to Trump and Republicans. He said Democrats weren’t who they used to be. He said Trump was the greatest President of his lifetime. He was as sharp as a tack until the day he died.
If you’re open-minded, you’re never too old to learn and change. The problem with these people isn’t being old, it’s being willfully ignorant.

He was freed months later by General Patton. He actually survived crashing an airplane 3 times, though the last one left him badly burned. Amazing man.

I understand the situation you’re in Van. I was raised in a Democrat home, the reason given was that “Democrats are for the working people”.
It wasn’t until I was 25-26 years old that a friend and my teacher in the Technical college I was in told me there was no way that I was a Democrat. They asked me a few questions during our break and all my answers aligned exactly with the Republican/Conservative view on life.
My life has been so much better since then. Setting and reaching goals that I set for myself.. instead of waiting for it to be handed to me.

Politicians who are running are pretty open about their stance and all you have to do is look for key words like healthcare or women’s healthcare rights and “diversity” or “inclusion”. The ones you have to keep to be skeptical of are DA’s who say they believe in reform, no cash bail or “rehabilitation “ and those RINOS

I feel bad for some of these “regular” folks, who were lied to over and over again. But it’s not just the lie, it’s the amount of vitriol and hate that was served with it. It’s not enough to simply prefer another candidate, you have to actively hate the other, who’s still a human being, and then everyone who might support him. That’s a lot of hate and anger to carry around. It’s left a residue off trauma that can you can literally still feel today. How sad and unnecessary. 😔

I was once on the wrong side until I got curious, started asking questions, and started to learn that the modern day democrats do not hold up to my values at all. As a kid, I did not realize the gravity of who I was supporting nor did I understand the political matrix that can turn what is common sense entirely upsidedown.
This is probably my biggest question about the left, they basically worship democrats as deities that can do no wrong. They will demonize trump for all kinds of crap but ignore democrats like biden .asking sick comments to children, threatening american citizens, insulting american citizens, fought for segregation, called minorities stupid, made a school shooter a martyr after making jokes about ice cream and SOOOO much more but anytime any democrat is called out it's always "BuT tRuMp BuT tRuMp" like that makes it ok biden molested his daughter or called minorities stupid.

That's awesome to hear. You can separate his ideology, whatever that may be, and see him as a human being with worth and good qualities. Too bad there are people who will dispose of others, if the person doesn't fit neatly, into there world view. Joe Rogan is a Liberal, who is demonized by other Liberals because he leaves his platform open for everybody and isn't afraid to express his views and even defend others who aren't Liberal. Dearest Van, it took me a while to find out what "Let's Go Brandon" means. Some guy won Nasscar by the name of Brandon something or other. When he was being interviewed the whole crowd started chanting "F*ck Joe Biden" and the interviewer sed, "Oh their chanting Let's go Brandon"!!! That's where it came from!!!

They think Fox is so bad, yet they have ticked me off for being to liberal. It's hard when fox shows their true words against them.
Lol that's always the first thing they say "you get your news from fox!" Like eww no I don't, but you get your news from their sister companies MSNBC, CNN. Both owned by Murdoch both had studios in the same building. But these low IQs think they get news from a better source
The problem is that most of the left thinks the only information conservatives use if from Fox. I for 1 use many sources to gain understanding of situation. The liberals on the other hand have absolutely no alternative views.. 95 % of media is left wing orientated. What I find interesting is how stuck up the left wing acts.
Yeah I get my information from many sources other than CNN like MSNBC and ABC, Rachel Maddow and all the rest of them who will say every single scripted word that everybody else says line by line. That's how I know it's the truth because everybody says the exact same words LITERALLY.
These idiots just don't understand that they're getting the exact same news source from several different suppliers. It's like saying I get my m&Ms from 15 different stores so I know it's not all the same.
That's why the path you are taking currently is so important. You are actually getting sources other than the ones they want you to hear. That's also why you are being attacked, because you're not a nice little robot anymore.

There is an obvious "Plot hole" in anyone's argument where they are so insistent on shutting down the other side:
_If your side is so obviously correct without question such that it should be self-evident, then you should be able to trust that anyone doing their own research will arrive at the same conclusion without your intervention, and if your side isn't that obvious, then perhaps it's worth being more tolerant and open-minded yourself. So either way, shutting down the other side just proves that your opinion is not self evident._
