Great tutorial. My NTC thermistor is marked differently with the number 16 in the middle and 2011 underneath. There's no letter "D". I'm trying to figure out how many ohms is marked on it?

Thanks for this video! Does "8L10 10002" mean it acts like a 8 ohm resistor at room temperature? What does the "L" mean?

sir what if my NTC 100D-9 has cracked a little bit but it still decreases resistance based on the test procedure you showed. Should I still replace it?.. By the way fuse got busted and 2 diodes IN4007 got shorted on the bridge, is it logical to conclude that this NTC is affected due to too much heat apparently from excessive current?please reply..😊

Hi, l enjoyed the video clear explanation of NTC type however l have a PTC Thermistor in a circuit which is a blue ceramic disc type.
I cannot understand what the item reference markings are referring to,it is marked PTC C 840 which l conclude to be Positive Temp Coefficient / Ceramic.
then there is a further reference number 0317 underneath the C840.
Do you have any help to offer as to the meaning of these ref numbers marked on this item.

Thanks for watching. I guess 0317 figure underneath the C840 does not affect your design though I'm not sure. C840 is necessary as it is the type of Thermistor set as standard and it has an equivalent Electrical Specifications. You may also find C830, C850, C860.

Thank you for watching. Yes you can but make sure your device is not connected to power, that there is no presence of voltage for safety.
