Probably one of the most honest and informative videos I've ever seen. Thanks Ben Kesling for the info. I'll be following you if you keep posting. Preparation is 90% of the trip. Thanks again Ben.

What you are doing and sharing is really educational and awesome Ben. Keep up with the great work. Question did you catch all the fish thats in the cooler, and how many days or boat latches did it take to get your catch? Great work Ben!!

this was filmed in October, but we have also gone spring walleye and pan fishing at potholes and we were very successful. I recommend going in April or May when the water is warming up.

Any chance you can tell me what part of the lake this is. I’ve been trying to fish potholes for walleye and am a beginner

Most of these fish where caught in the North Eastern side of the reservoir, but what matters more for walleye is the depth your fishing.

Wha do you use as bait

We used a whole variety of baits on that trip. We caught the majority of our fish on simple green wedding rings with chrome or green smiley blades, and the hooks were tipped with half a night crawler. When we were jigging for blue gill and whatnot we used small panfish jigs or just worms and split shot weights. All pretty cheap and not fancy stuff😃
