She has a strong, solid personality. If she didn't have her Slavic accent I'd think she was Swedish.
She's absolutely right about national security being the priority - it's like a safe house in a safe neighborhood. Everything else in your life is compromised without it. No matter what you care about most, you have to put security first.

If we are tiring of the war, perhaps because it is "dragging on", then we must end it. Will Putin end it? He will end it only when we end it for him by making it impossible for him to carry on. The sooner we pour our hearts, minds, resources into Ukraine as fully as Ukraine needs to defeat Putin, the sooner the war will end. Then we have options to get tired of other things that "drag on".

Agreed. There are certain problems that won't go away until they're fixed at the source. And certain problems will only get worse if we *try* to walk away from them...because they'll only follow us and get worse the more we avoid them.
Putin's regime is currently the most dangerous example of such problems.

Since 1991 Latvia infringes the rights of Russian-speaking population inside Latvia. Around 25% of their own people.
Estonia and Lithuania do not following Latvia in this. And that's why Estonian economy is not in ruins as Latvian.
