This is my own arrangement of Queen's famous Bohemian Rhapsody, I hope you like it!
I tried to stay as close to the original as possible.

Thank you. As a musician who has been searching for something that retains enough of the original piano melody while adding enough so that it can be a solo on its own, I must say that I am very impressed.
I thought you played it like the original. Freddie’s composition is the best of course but others try to put too many extra notes and it doesn’t need it. You did a great job!
Adding the vocals to the piano is not very accurate thank you very much.
David De Lucio just my opinion, but i find instrumental covers of songs that include the vocals into the instrumental bit really annoying.

That's really kind of you to say - thanks! Haha, yes I also thought ours were quite similar for the first minute or so (it's because we're both doing it right 😉). It is an absolutely incredible studio! You should have seen the kit... just unbelievable. They even had a physical reverb chamber and plates. Would highly recommend if you find yourself in Monmouthshire in the UK!

I have heard this song on many instruments and it was my opinion that the electic guitar was the most authentic and appropriate instrument for this song,, but after hearing you I have changed my mind. I love listening to you and have watched this video several times. Great job buddy!

Brady that’s makes since, I get how it would be hard to do that because I’ve had the same problem with another song until I practiced with a metronome.

You've got perfect rhythm! Other covers out there are just not musical enough, they play it too fast and too hard. Yours is indeed very very close to the original version. Good job, mate!

actually, I've tried this, but it's kinda boring and not easy to listen as there are some parts in between without any piano at all
Also it isn't possible to play just like Freddie Mercury, because nobody can copy him. He is a legend. You have to appreciate that there are so many talented people who love to play Queens music. And even if they can't play JUST like Freddie, doesn't mean that you can't enjoy listening to them. By the way, i really like this version of the song and i would love to play it on my own soon.

Listened to this and thought, this is very very good, but not accurate. Then I listened again, and realized this is very very good and accurate. It represents the song as a whole, not just the piano section. Very cool 👌
Of course it wont do that! The melody will be incomplete without other instruments and singing so this is an ARRANGEMENT of the song as a whole. You'll find those easily on other sites or videos.
Be nice to hear that piano sound rather than the pre-recorded one which is quite poor unfortunately.

Thanks! You're right, the audio isn't recorded directly, because I tried different microphone setups and the results sounded far worse than the digital plugin. Btw, the samples are from the same Steinway Grand Piano model you can see in the video ;)

Ari It isn’t supposed to be a note for note copy of the piano section of the song, it is an adaptation of the song for solo piano

Always nice to see a Steinway. My mother was a professional concert pianist and that was her preference. She said they by far had the best action. An excellent book on pianos is "The Wonders of the Piano: The Anatomy of the Instrument" by the late Catherine Bielefeldt. It has a lot of piano history an mainly how they are constructed. Cathy was the first female manager at Steinway Hall in New York, one of my mother's best friends, and even baby sat me long, long, long ago.

Ok, so i get that SOME people are not fans of all of these various piano renditions of Queen’s music when most of them are including the VOCAL melodies right along with the piano as well as guitar parts, all wrapped up into one piece of music. That’s fine, but didn’t Freddie himself say he didn’t care what others did with his music, so long as they didn’t make it boring? From the many examples I’ve seen here on YT, no one has been guilty of making it boring. That being said, it seems to me that using ONE instrument, but essentially playing THREE at once is no small task, especially with a band like Queen…and anyone who has the courage-and the talent-to do it deserves a bit more respect.👏👏👏👏

@Artificial Ed to me it makes perfect sense. A piano can not imitate a guitar or a voice (Especially Freddie Mercury's) I understand the song would sound a lot more empty if it was only the piano part but for me personally that makes it easier to sing and play along. Playing the vocal track is annoying to me because it gives my ears blue balls. I expect a real voice but get a piano instead, in my opinion it's better to leave it out and leave it up to the imagination. Also when everyone's doing the vocal track, it's always the same, they do the same notes and timing as the studio version vocals. Theres no diversity in it. in other words all these covers sound the same, and maybe instead of playing vocals on the piano, they put a unique spin on the piano track while keeping it real to the original.

i really appreciate that you did an accurate version and not an improvised one. i love hearing people use their own creative genius to do a beautiful cover, but im glad you stayed true to how the song was actually written, and you’re literally the ONLY cover ive seen that does the hand cross which i so appreciate because it adds so much flare to the song. every cover i’ve seen everyone just ignores the hand cross, but it’s too iconic not to leave out so i very much appreciate that small gesture. you’re amazing !!

It may not be the most accurate, but play it however you like, whether you include more notes to it or make it more face paced, either way, Freddie would like it a lot, trust me man. Don’t let bad comments bring you down, I know the real Queen loves this anyways.

That's the best arrangement for piano I've heard. I believe it is very true to the spirit of the piece. And I especially liked the clarity of the descending broken cords in bars 60 and 69. In so many arrangements the music is so cluttered you can scarcely hear those notes which are really a special part of the sound of the piece. In fact, in bar 60 there is no accompaniment at all to distract from those notes ringing out.

What a fantastic rendition. Thanks for providing the sheet music. I am an intermediate piano player and this song really challenged me and made me better. I have been working on it for months and finally got through it...covid lockdown helped! I couldn't have done it without the video as I couldn't get the timing down in certain spots. THISISAWESOME!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, as a violin player I look at your right hand playing the Brian May riff ( after Verse 2) and i think, okay, i can do that because of practice and stuff. But i see both hands doing completely different renditions of their vocal harmony on 'SSUNDABOLT AND LIGHTNING VERYVERY FRIGHTNING ME' and it boggles my mind how you can think about getting both parts exactly right. How hard it must have been for Freddie, who had to sing a part that was completely different from what each hand was doing! yeah. If i were rich, i would give you money just for making this effort.

Although the harmony is more precise than in most arrangements, but too many notes! It is terribly inconvenient to play. The text doesn't "breathe". The necessary flats are expected at the key for b-flat major (2), it would be necessary to bring the text in accordance with musical notation, in its present form it's hell for a pianist. Actually, this is what I've been looking for, an accurate piano version, one with a stable tempo, unlike many out there, where pianists play fast af "just to add their own touch".
