I love his version of Spider-Gwen. She has a balance of cartoony style and yet beautiful
That’s basically j Scott Campbell’s style
You can see the veteran status with him. He draws great and he narrates great too.
You know he's professional when he gives you tips to make the most un-thought about facial futures look good.

Love, Campbell's style of art!
Same. It has realism in it, but at the same time it has a little touch of Disney in it
Ain't it sweet how MJ now looks just like his wife on every cover he does
Nice! You can really see the Disney influence, and the John Romita Sr. look of Gwen :)
Yeah I thought it was an anime influence but when I think about it is more of a disney influence.
I kinda thought his females reminded me of Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Especially his pre-Spidey style.
His main influence is Art Adams. When he was doing Gen 13 he explained this as people were accusing him of being a Jim Lee rip off.
what a treat, guys. Thank you for this. Scott is a legend
A true inspiration to all of my art! I'm so glad you all had him on!
So good
J Scott Campbell and Adam Hughes are my fav artists. Love Danger Girl and Gen 13!
This is the only reason I keep coming back to syfy
I'm sad there aren't a lot of Scott Campbell and Frank Cho videos. These artists ( as well as many others-William Stout& Art Adams) are criminally underrated!
Those two draw women beautifully, and thus are criticized by 10 people on Twitter and sadly the media listens to those 10 people. That's the sad truth. 99% of us love their work, but people with their own body image issues lash out at even fictitious beautiful women.
Campbell is regarded as one of the greatest comic artist of all time. How the fuckis he underrated?
Huge fan of his ASM covers. Much appreciate seeing this video and hearing him explain his techniques.
His career started with Image comics and then Image became Wildsrorm comics. He drew Gen 13 back in the mid 90s. His drawing style is amazing. What ever happened to Gen 13? I would like to see him draw Catlin Fairchild again with the rest of the characters. Gen 13 was amsome back in the mid 90s. And yes I still have the comics cards and that comic book binder.
That's all well and good, but where are her organs? J/K :) Loved him since Gen 13, and Campbell is still one of the greatest artists working today, one of the three masters of covers along with Stanley Artgerm Lau and Stjepan Sejic. We also like Amanda Conner and Emanuela Lupacchino to round out our top 5. So lovely, so classic!
This is why he’s my favorite comic book artist
True with the eyes. The eyes determine how my drawings turns out.
Absolutely incredible artist!
Whoa, that pen grip he's using is wild...
Gen 13 got me into art and comics. He is half of my favorite artists ever. The other being Jim Lee.
I have an insane Gen 13 collection and it will always be ever growing
I’m glad I watched this. I always thought his style was influenced by anime but I can’t definitely see the Disney influence 100%
Great artist and great guy!!
Great to watch 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
This was awesome! Thank you :)
Awesome! He's a legend!
He is amazing ever since Gen 13
He is so so good!!!
Give us a new oversized hardcover edition of DANGER GIRL
The Absolute Danger Girl edition book is exactly that.
Iconic legend.
Definitely see the Disney influence. Great job
2:59 OMG, that grip!!! My eyes are bleeding!
Great artist! Yo Boi Zack send his regards! xDD
Scott got the kind of ease of style like the great animator Chuck Jones , one of the best artist ever : )
Thx for the explanations
I haven't inked with Microns since college. That's dope Campbell still uses them.
Everyone uses them now
@@scottcrosby-art5490 almost* everyone lol
Excellent pen work 👍👍👍👍
Whoa! I haven't seen J Scott since my last issue of Wizard magazine! Still draws the most attractive women. Next to Joe Mad! Ofcourse ^_^
Love JSC. Best combination of talent/skill and unique cartoonish style since Todd MacFarlane. But no, Disney didn't start with the huge eyes style until anime came along.
Jesus Christ his grip style is pure insanity😂
chck out Erik Larsen's grip then if you want to see insanity.. 😂
@@danielschiman767 you're right wtf is that grip??💀
Ive never seen J Scott Campbell before 🤭
This my first time hearing him talk...and the oldest I seen him......I remember when he was a young buck
I remember his young look in wizard magazine in the late 90’s
Best Women In Comics,
PERIID!!
great artist...that grip tho.
I wish I could be as good
“Anime” is such a broad term.... but i would agree his style had an early to mid 80’s flair of Anime Style..... which also feels “Disney”......
Exactly, classic anime was heavily inspired by early Disney films.
ok for the family, because of you et joe
Poor guy is going to be cancelled by the people he blindly supports.
the fact that his line confidence is kinda shaky gives me hope lmao
very helpful.
REPRINT ABSOLUTE DANGER GIRL PLEASE
He is so cool at drawing a woman
Danger Girl #2,391,703 💖
I just bought a general Veers from Walgreens. Draw Veers.
They should have asked J Scott why every woman he draws look the same.
spider-gwen or gwen stacy looks like Princess Aurora of sleeping beauty
Scott is a chad 🇹🇩
Not drawing in the bottom of the eye, admit it, that is Kevin Nowlan influence. So many comic artists are influenced by his stuff.
Jesus loves all 💙💛
Shame the social justice warriors got to him. F them.
J'ai 2-3 idée à te soumettre
1000 pages 20 tomes
Am i the only one who gets disturbed by how he holds the pen??
Traduit Sophocle
I told this dude that the SJW mob would come for his head.
I always considered Campbell as a go-to for the hottest looking women on the comic book page... Him and Adam Hughes... the 11 dislikes must-be be from those who dislike a beautiful female form
this is illustration, it take's too much time. I fuzionne you and joe in a french-belgian style and i write texte. Lot of texte in format A4.
These angles r terrible wtf is this
I feel him and Jim Lee have gotten lazy in drawing since the 90s
Nobody cares
9 months no likes pathetic
Are you high
@@scottcrosby-art5490 nah dude, i followed them ever since...jim lee 92 and scott campbell have gotten lazy in their art
@@getyoursickassawayfromme3176 yeah, but collectors today don't follow artists like they used to...i'm one of the few that's stayed the same. i'm one of the few left. collectors today just download comics and follow the stories..i only buy comics for the artists.
dantigoneger girl
J Scott Campbell and Adam Hughes are my fav artists. Love Danger Girl and Gen 13!
