I just looked at the game of Yu Yangyi and Jumabayev myself and decided to search for this Gambit! What a nice surprise when you showed that game in your video. Tremendous explanations btw. Great channel.
This gambit may not be sound but you should study it to deploy similar ideas against novice black responses in the Italian. I use the c3 pawn gambit often against rather passive defenses like the Hungarian, the Philidor, the "Anti-Fried Liver" and D3-instead-of-main line Italian. It's absolutely devastating and very fun! And in these cases, it IS sound because black has simply not developed soundly.
Im a mid 1000s player and the gohring and danish are my main lines with white a good portion of the time. Nobody has ever played the correct moves to stop my attack after accepting the gambit, and they get accepted a fair amount. More people should be looking at these under 1600 elo.
I’m playing in U1300 section and have played this a ton in blitz with fair success. I’m 2k bullet lichess and 1850 blitz lichess what are your thoughts on this variation in longer time controls though?
Oh this is how Paul Morphy loves to play the scotch all you need is a bit of insanity and it all makes sense ;-). Great video thanks!
This is easily the most thorough channel when it comes to openings...my question is. How do you remember all the theory?
he takes notes

its accepted main line looks very similar to the danish gambit
With a key difference, Nf3 and Nxc6 have been played. White is closer to castling in the goring.

Great analysis, thank you!
This gambit, accepted, may not be sound, but really fun for a sideline if you like the "normal" Scotch Gambit.
Thanks mr tomic
Instead of exd5 in the declined variation, White should play Bd3
Great video!
after you capture the knight on h3 , why would white not capture the queen on d5
The name of the gambit O_O
In German, this letter exists aswell as the letters ä, ü and ö.

Why do yo don’t eat the queen with the knight at 7:40??
The knight was pinned, so white just castled.
