Thanks, Solon. My favorite would be the 73 Monte, I've owned 6 Montes in my life and was happy with all of them. Being born in the 60s, I began taking interest in cars in the 70s. I enjoy cars from most decades, but my favorite would be the 70s. 👍TAG
When I was 25, I had got divorced and my sister loaned me her 74 Monte Carlo to drive ( My ex got our only car) and when I drove that car I fell in love with it. It drove smooth, had plenty of power and was so comfortable to ride in, I loved it!
No matter the video, your tri-5 section is almost always my favorites of the bunch! Might be influenced by Foreigner, he drives a 57 coupe, walks with a stoop, thinks James Dean isn’t dead” lyrics and I love the tri-5s
Sweey 70's rides, but as cool as they all are, for the price the '75 Ford Ranchero. If money was no option, the 77 Pontiac Firebird. Heck, if money was no option, I may never've found this channel.
The bandit and the lil red express. I love the ambulance but that's really expensive and for 200,000 you think it would have the correct hubcaps. Another fine show tonight.
FAVS: Well I owned a '78 Z28 (I know shocking a Chevy). But I guess that's be my Fav tonight. Especially being the same color and interior. And, like mine a proper third pedal. Milford MI. if it wasn't a two owner, could a been mine. Being a Bullitt guy, gotta love 1967's! They still have the coolest hood of all 'Stangs! My '03 SVT car copied those recessed scoops, so sweet. Too late, Maverick is now a truck. And a Hornet is now a Dodge SUV? Hey, just saying...I'm a junior, I'm not quite old enough to have had a 1970 plate.
I would not buy any new car retro or not as I would rather spend my money on a true classic car. Great show as always I do not always comment but I do always hit the like button. To be honest I did fall into the alure of buying a new car and it was really nice but when I came back to my senses I sold it and turn the money into my present classic convertible. Life is short drive the car you always wanted or at least work toward that goal. The old adage never loved anything that cannot love you back.... My car loves me and how do I know this every time I look at it, drive it she gives me a feeling like no other. Have a wonderful week looking forward to your next program .
1. "Snake" & "Mongoose " 2. 1977....The Granda took it place! 3. Probably more than 200 would be my guess. 🤔 My dad said that he gave away more Cadillacs than most celebrities signed autographs! 🤗 😎 🤗
That 57 Chevy was sharp. A local jeweler had 2 57 convertibles. One was a driver the other a show car. He lent us the driver to drive the in a special Olympics parade
Solon, I restored a 76 monte Carlo, back in 1988, I spayed it airplane paint, Chameleon, multi color, all New interior, The Car came out show Room, The Paint cost me 3000 dollars, had to rent oxygen suit to spay, I built a 350 350hp with TBI, Took it from a crashed 87 Chevy pickup first year for TBI.
The '73 Monte Carlo was my favorite tonight.......and then that awesome '79 lil red express came up. I always wanted one! That was the fastest American vehicle in 1979. True story unfortunately
Don "The Snake" Prudhomme and Tom "The Mongoose" McEwen. The interesting part of the story is that they weren't Rivals, They were actually business partners and best friends. Netflix has the biopic on the entire story.
@@Americanrodshop And that 76 Cougar would be a good "Pro Cruiser" car, which is beginning to become a really popular build out here in the West/Southwest. What is a "Pro Cruiser" you ask? Well it's exactly what this car is... It's an "unpopular" Classic/Survivor Car with the original engine, good-decent original paint/original paint color respray, good-decent interior that's either Original or upgraded slighly with a set of custom wheels and minor and cheap upgrades to the engine, body and interior, it's basically a High School Hot Rod on Steriods where that the custom touches have been done right and not just hacked up to make it work and sending it. It's gotten so popular that has it's own class at car shows now.
You had “ The Snake” vs “The Mongoose”, and I’ve been lucky enough to have seen them both run the 1/4 mile on numerous occasions. I was always a fan of Don “The Snake”. But I was a bigger fan of “The Swamp Rat” Big Daddy Don Garlits! He was a hoot to be around in the pits.
I afraid I’d have to pass on any new Ford Maverick redo on other. Not a big Ford fan although I’ve owned a few old Fords including a 48 F-1 pickup and a 65 Mustang GT w/289 K-code & 4spd.
It was during the later 70s and all of the eighties pushed me into the pickup truck and jeep arena! Honestly, after the 72 Cuda, cars were yuck. 1969 was the last Chevy built that was not yuck! Ford trucks have always been great but cars, I’ll pass!
Great show Solon! Loved the Mercuries. Great examples. Thank you for the Bradley GT! I remember them from the 70's
Thanks for tuning in Paul!

The 70 Olds and 57 Chevy! Thanks for another great show Solon!
I like the 70 olds Cutlass I use to own a 72 olds Cutlass 442 my brother wrecked it and I just had it painted
Nice!

LOL! Great comment and great pick Ralph!
Enjoyed the show, not easy to pick a favorite, The olds cutlass one for sure and the Monte & Trans Am, thanks and take care
I appreciate you watching!
Never disappoint Solon. Another great night. Have a safe week 👍😎✌️
Thanks Kevin!
My favorite is #2, it's truly amazing looking at 21,000 original miles it's a great bargain for the money 😊
Another awesome video Solon . My favorite was the 70 olds coupe . Beautiful car.
Sweey 70's rides, but as cool as they all are, for the price the '75 Ford Ranchero. If money was no option, the 77 Pontiac Firebird. Heck, if money was no option, I may never've found this channel.
The Ranchero is my favorite as well! Great thing is you can dream for free here! LOL! Thanks for watching brother!
The bandit and the lil red express. I love the ambulance but that's really expensive and for 200,000 you think it would have the correct hubcaps. Another fine show tonight.
Thanks Doug! Yeah, the ambulance was really awesome! But 200,000 is too high!
As much as I love the Montego from my birth year and the '72 Caddy I have to go with the '57 Bel Air. Thanks for another great show Solon!!!
Thanks Mr H!
Ok, I forgot about the '77. Yessir, that's my favorite ❤
It would be so nice to own that one!
That '77 T/A is either the "my wife says i have to sell the car" price or the "no lowballers. I know what I've got" price. 😂

Hey, just saying...I'm a junior, I'm not quite old enough to have had a 1970 plate.
LOL! I found out that the original Mavericks were built on the 63 Ford Falcon frame design, probably what hurt them as well on sales.
My favorite 74 Ford Ranchero ❤️
TAG. I think the Bradley is a pretty good deal, as long as it’s in as good of shape as it appears to be.
Me too Papi!
That Montego is beautiful. Extremely rare. The Cyclone was the real performance level.
Good pick Don!
Had me a Cyclone...should of never let it go...the transmission gave me problems
I’d have to say, my favorite car was a 1969 AMX
Ralph! Those are awesome cars!
The ranchero is fantastic, thank you solon for another great show.hello from Poland.😂

The 57 BelAire is gorgeous, and the $40K asking price isn’t bad for the quality of the car.
My favorite is the ‘73 Monte Carlo.
Love the 70s
Some good years for sure!
Not hotrods. Just used car show tonight. Lol
LOL!
Being a MOPAR or no car kind of guy, I’d have to go with the Lil’ Red Express, 79 D-150.
snake, 1977 ford, 100 cars all pink.
Solon how u doing buddy I'm ready to roll with u on the highways and by ways

I don't think Ford would come out with the retro Maverick since Ford America out with the Ford Maverick pickup.
Snake and the mongoose
Correct!
The Ford Maverick ended production in 1977!
“TAG” I’d buy a nice Maverick in a heartbeat….if it was priced right. They make awesome pro street cars.
It was in excess of 200 Caddy’s give or take a couple.
Tag
Keep that Ohio plate, lol
LOL!
TAg
Ford brought back the Maverick, but it’s now a cheezy truck.
I afraid I’d have to pass on any new Ford Maverick redo on other. Not a big Ford fan although I’ve owned a few old Fords including a 48 F-1 pickup and a 65 Mustang GT w/289 K-code & 4spd.
