    I love your jeep. My 2001 has a electric fan. But I do always carry a spare belt for the engine.

    The clunk is the upper A arm replace it with after market one that you can add johnny joints or poly bushings

  • @Weidjeep
    @Weidjeep 2 года назад +1

    that clunking is not normal, mine clunked for yrs until I replaced the spring isolators top and bottom in the rear. Trust me it will go away, also make sure your A-arm bolts are tight. again clunking is not normal.

    Awesome wj, I also loves these vehicles! I notice you had a wrangler in the garage how does it compare to the wj? I ask because my wj will need a engine soon within the next few years not sure whether I should replace the engine or "upgrade" (is it even an upgrade?) to a wrangler.

    The clunk is the rear upper control arm ball joint above the rear axle.

    • @MuhNeh
      @MuhNeh 5 лет назад

      I have this exact same clunk, is the ball joint bad? The bolts holding it down loose?

    • @BuBBz
      @BuBBz 5 лет назад +1

      @@MuhNeh well i dont know if you installed it or someone else. If its factory im gonna say no its not loose. If your jeep is lifted this joint tends to wear a lot quicker.

    • @MuhNeh
      @MuhNeh 5 лет назад

      I installed it myself about 8 months ago did a complete suspension job. Its the overland model so it has a 2 inch puck lift, you are probably right its worn but weird it didnt last.

    • @BuBBz
      @BuBBz 5 лет назад

      @@MuhNeh had a 2 inch RC bb, the joint was put on when i put on the BB, not even 2 years later it needed to be replaced. Installed a 4.5 inch long arm kit and replaced it with a much beefier one.

    What rims do you have looking for some and what tires?

  • @whatwj
    @whatwj 6 лет назад

    I would look into rear upper isolaters or the bushings on your a arm for the rear axle is shot(very common issue)

    • @theaveragejoes4x4
      @theaveragejoes4x4  6 лет назад

      Yep I added the IRO A Arm to the kit, which had new bushings, I'm thinking its just a case of the rear spring isolators being bad?

    Have you considered using the cooling system from a 1999-2001 with the mechanical fan ?

    • @theaveragejoes4x4
      @theaveragejoes4x4  6 лет назад

      Yes, I actually had one on it. when I first got the WJ the fan went out and the hydraulic fan was on backorder with Jeep. I wired it into a fan control, but it set a code that couldn't be cleared, so I switched back to the hydraulic version.
