  • Rapper Jim Jones famously once said, "rappers have the most dangerous job." With the recent killing of Migos rapper, Takeoff, many people are trying to figure out why so many rappers have been dying in recent years. Brandon gives his take and shares how others are tackling the conversation. What are your thoughts on the topic?

Rap artists have been dying due to the entourage they choose to keep and the places they continue to frequent. Also some rap artists are still connected to gangs, so if people really want to see to see this issue solved than address the reckless behaviour of these rappers. But people want to tiptoe around the fact that more times than not its self-inflicted more times than not.

Rapper should stop making music about drugs, guns, and murder. It's obvious that the majority of them are involved in dangerous activities, I guess it a way to promote the artists product. But their consequences projecting that lifestyle that so destructive! Even if you do live it or not. It's not a conspiracy or coincidence more, more rappers are getting killed over in an image that's overly used and outdated.

The problem nowadays (especially with the growth of drill and drill-inspired music) is the advent of social media and the demand for authenticity. Back in the day, you could become a gangsta rapper while not even having a real criminal past. You could create a persona that was basically a composite of people you knew growing up. Now (especially in a genre like drill) you have to rap what you live and so you have successful rappers still involved in gangs and criminal activity (think Casper TNG and K Money in Toronto who got presented and went to jail) without having to since they've achieved fame.

Indian Rapper Sidhu Moose Wala. He was famous and doing good to his village spending most of the money of his success to education for the children.
But to get to that position he had to deal with shady people. Think local gangs, drugz not to mention probably some shi t we will never know about ever.
He wrote a song 295 and 29th of 5th of 2022 was exactly the date he was taken. A huge rabbit hole when you think about it. How did he knew? It is twisted.

Your fruits shall show whatever they may be I pray for him and his family that he rest in peace and peace becomes a pawn his loved ones in Jesus name amen.

You should ask the black people can actually do live in roughneck neighborhoods some of them don't even have a choice a lot of them don't have parents to teach him how to do things or to become a better man or how to treat a woman where they just take whatever they see from their environment and apply it to real life and black people especially in the poor poor ghetto neighborhoods witness black-on-black crime almost every other week

4:51 no, it’s the laughable gangster culture fueling murders, not guns. How is it a shock rappers shoot each other when every song they release is about shooting each other? Take a look in the mirror Jemele, most people in this country own guns and most of them don’t use it because someone looked at them funny or had the wrong color shirt on. Hopefully the homeboys in Detroit, Memphis, St. Louis, Baltimore, Chicago etc. learn to take life a little more serious; hard tho when they blame their problems on inanimate objects rather than admitting gangster culture has been detrimental to the black community since it’s inception. Y’all cried about nipsey, offset, xxx getting shot; but y’all were the ones who killed them
