I do like how Watson is actually relevant in this series of games. He's not just a tagalong to say "BRILLIANT HOLMES!!!" or blunder into stuff. He actually provides a medical mind to the think tank, and can act in an official standing as a doctor, where Holmes, himself, couldn't
YESSSS!!! Dodger, you totally pulled the Numa Numa at 7:44 , thanks you! You got one notch higher on my "i respect Dodger" belt, or post or whatever! :)
The fact that Holmes said, "Show me what you've got, Watson!" And then Watson got on his knees made me giggle inappropriately. I am way to immature for this. XD
I fricken love watching this shinannagins! XD I'm playing the game and you've definitely helped a lot! Thanks! Also it's wierd to think this is all real....
o man when u were doing the first conclusion i was just like screaming at the screen what u had to do, like aaaaah it was so obvious to me, but in the end u got it and i was able to settle down
I caught it too. Strange the voice actor didn't question that or that no one in game factory did either. Maybe they need to hire someone who actually PLAYS their games to proof-play.
Dark it must be, Noone must see, Silent I will be, A death quick it shall be, When the Angel of Death strikes, Nothing survives!!! I dont think there wil be a better place for this than here. I made it up several days ago and I'm thinking how to continue it.
Because we didn't start officially using metric until the 60's. Besides, we still use imperial for some distances, because we're bloody stupid, apparently
@spankyavalon England didn't start using Metric until recently. It wasn't odd for them to use Imperial Measurement Units (which they invented) in the 1888.
@annierism I'm in same boat (stupid university, stupid sick people), and these videos make it SO much more tolerable! Dodger - if this is your first Let's Play, I'm surprised. It's very good, thanks for the videos!
I'm not sure, but I think the 35 was up to the ring in the middle and after it, so the whole thing would have been 70-75. Might be wrong about this, but that's what it looked like to me.
What if the twist was that Sherlock or Watson was Jack The Ripper (I guess it would have to be Holmes since Watson is talking to that cop)? Watson would probably just be like "Oh Holmes, that's no way to treat a lady!" Seriously, Sherlock walks in right after the murder. He totes did it.
Hey Dodge, like we should like hang out, or whatever. When I crashed my last bike and broke my leg, I developed a thing for canes. I made some, bought some, there is swords in canes, cane flasks, etc. I have a thing for canes...
DODGER!! :D ME and friends played The House 2 today in school in daylight and screamed in class so I really wnated to see you play it, it's a flash game online just google it. Not long but scary! D: please play. :3
WHY AM I STILL UP! Watson should of made the doctor an offer he couldn't refuse....I'm just saying. I'll watch the rest of this after I get some sleep. Later
Oh man...I much prefer The Testament of Sherlock Holmes...much better voice acting and animations. I almost got this one over the Testament and made a last minute, but fortunate decision. The Testament actually features White Chapel and some nods to the Jack The Ripper case too.
@PressHeartToContinue It didn't matched 35 inches because the ruler at 3:20 was in centimeters and 35 inches = 88.9Cm. (in england the use Centimeters) :) Hope I could helped :D
@eggroll9000 Liberia and Burma also don't use the metric system. Can you really blame Dodger for that when they give the size in inches previously, though? Not to mention the fact that the scale is totally unlabelled! That said, 80 inches is a pretty ridiculous length for a cane XD.
Perhaps the scale is in centimeters ? 35 * 2.5 ~ About what is displayed on the scale tho it would depend on what "kind" of inch, as a inch is not just a inch...
I don't know how many people have pointed this out, but "Knob" perhaps with a different spelling, is sometimes a British slang term for "Penis". Just saying. Keep up the good work!
I do like how Watson is actually relevant in this series of games. He's not just a tagalong to say "BRILLIANT HOLMES!!!" or blunder into stuff. He actually provides a medical mind to the think tank, and can act in an official standing as a doctor, where Holmes, himself, couldn't
I do believe the length was in centimeters
The cobbler dude sounds like a jewish John Lennon.
Oh God, the "nob" conversations in this crack me up way too much :')
*inhale*
KNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOBS!
More videos like this! I like watching you play a game, your enjoyment is contagious.
Yesssss! Seeing this up made me extremely happy! Making my sick day way better!!!
"Where is he homie?" lolololol
YESSSS!!! Dodger, you totally pulled the Numa Numa at 7:44 , thanks you! You got one notch higher on my "i respect Dodger" belt, or post or whatever! :)
I really like this playthrough. Whatever game you choose to play next just go with something you like because I love the enthusiasm!
:)
This episode is just full of awesome double entendre. Carry On Jack The Ripper!
The fact that Holmes said, "Show me what you've got, Watson!" And then Watson got on his knees made me giggle inappropriately. I am way to immature for this. XD
I'm really enjoying this series, cant believe I didn't know about this channel until the tgs podcast.
Doctor Gibbons is hella hot.
He sure likes knobs, though...
I mean, that combover? To die for.
Had kind of a shitty day today. This made everything better. Thank you.
@BlinkBackToLetMeKnow you are the perfect kind of viewer for this LP
I fricken love watching this shinannagins! XD I'm playing the game and you've definitely helped a lot! Thanks! Also it's wierd to think this is all real....
3:30 Centimeters my dear.. Centimeters.
Ok so havent even watched this one yet but this has become my fix :P
Always brightens up my day haha
i just finished watching part 4, perfect timing :D
Hell yeah, I have a warm cup of coffee and another Dodger video, this day is complete.
thanks for posting these i am really enjoying them.
@annierism I'm so glad!
4:30, dat laugh and face XD
Dodger I love you!!!! Do more games like this. I really like the uniqueness of your let's plays.
Skipping a couple of days and watching all the videos in one big motherhit... WIN. Sweet video's by the way twitch cool.
Don't feel bad! I was soooo stuck finding those foot prints right in fron t of me as well! Duh :) I can't beleve that I missed it too!
dude this game plot is exactly like From Hell with Johnny Depp so sick
o man when u were doing the first conclusion i was just like screaming at the screen what u had to do, like aaaaah it was so obvious to me, but in the end u got it and i was able to settle down
4:18 ..you got Spongebobbed!
07:38 D'aww Dodger is so cute
Dodger: "Maybe people trade knobs"
Me: "hurr hurr hurr maybe at the brothel"
Why you do this to me brain!
This is getting quite interesting indeed. Looking forward to the next part(s).
I really like these. You're so funny and cute.
Don't be creeped out. =D
Also the cobbler sounds like one of The Beetles....lol.
I like the books of sherlock holmes better but watching you play is just priceless. (:
I caught it too. Strange the voice actor didn't question that or that no one in game factory did either. Maybe they need to hire someone who actually PLAYS their games to proof-play.
I know right? When I first heard what Sherlock said I thought "wait... what the hell?!" lol
I am Jewish and I can confirm we do exactly the same strange hand gestures randomly in conversation
great video and not to bad of a video game. i was did not see it coming that watson turns out to be jack. who would have known
This illness has me bedridden, luckily I have Dodger's to take my mind off of it :D
Dark it must be,
Noone must see,
Silent I will be,
A death quick it shall be,
When the Angel of Death strikes,
Nothing survives!!!
I dont think there wil be a better place for this than here. I made it up several days ago and I'm thinking how to continue it.
This reminds me of an episode of black butler omg. This whole video series does.
Renee Andrus you watch BB how do you feel about season 2?
Hehehe, homie, Dr Watson must call Holmest, Holmie !
When I saw the meanwhile part I was like "Holy Shit!" Not right now!
knobs were like pokemon card back in the 19th century :D
Because we didn't start officially using metric until the 60's.
Besides, we still use imperial for some distances, because we're bloody stupid, apparently
Time to find some coal boy.
In a weird twist, it will turn out that Sherlock is Jack the Ripper! :P
I hate the way when someone says "silver knobs" in this, I am the only one laughing. :)
It looks like they gave the cane length in inches but they gave a meter stick for the puzzle.
04:50 .... Obi-Wan?! That is Obi-Wan! Sounds just like him >:|
This is so fun to watch :D!!!!!!
9:12 dat face xD
i can't find video request but here you should do all of sherlock holmes games
Pretty sure the cane assembly interface was showing centimeters, not inches. Else a 90 inch long cane would be a pretty damn long walking stick.
@CONARTIST1234 It's pretty inappropriate in America too LOL context is important xD
That jiddish guy sounds like dr.Zoidberg...
As far as I calculate 35 inches = 88.9 cm.
Afaik, British Empire adopted SI by that time (1880s)
35 inches ~ 89 cm. Strange thing that the ruler on the side was not in inches, since in 19th century the cm was definately not common in the UK
This game is much easier if you are familiar with the irl jack the ripper murders
you should be streaming this!!!!
@PressHeartToContinue 3:30 I think that the ruler on the side is in `cm` which is the standard used in England. 70cm ~= 35in
@CalGriff90 I wasn't sure, but thanks for clearing up any would-be confusion.
I think Holmes might be a little confused at 13:44 He keeps referring to the victim as a male.
I'm not sure, but I think the 35 was up to the ring in the middle and after it, so the whole thing would have been 70-75. Might be wrong about this, but that's what it looked like to me.
8:57 It's been so long, but I know who the murderer is... Batman!
omh, Dodger, are you aware of the British use for the word "knob"? It makes this video double hilarious.
If anyone ever makes a game for dodger.
Fill it with ALL OF THE SPONGEBOBBING.
Hey Dodge, like we should like hang out, or whatever. When I crashed my last bike and broke my leg, I developed a thing for canes. I made some, bought some, there is swords in canes, cane flasks, etc. I have a thing for canes...
I'm pretty sure the doctor's voice actor was a character from HBO: Rome.
I went away for one day and we went from part 2 to part 9. ALL THE PARTS.
Numa Numa Dodger @7:45 :D
we're still in the clinic, coz we didn't wanna get shanked
cobbler sounds like that ardvark from...somewhere
DODGER!! :D ME and friends played The House 2 today in school in daylight and screamed in class so I really wnated to see you play it, it's a flash game online just google it. Not long but scary! D: please play. :3
Sherlock is pretty sus, showing up right after a murder and all :P
i wanted to laugh, but then i took an arrow in the knee
he collects knobs ... heh heh heh
@2:20 : a case of "cane" and able maybe?
HO MANG!
An old man with a beard that wants to talk shoes with you.
Jackpot?
omg so many sex jokes that could come out of that
WHY AM I STILL UP! Watson should of made the doctor an offer he couldn't refuse....I'm just saying. I'll watch the rest of this after I get some sleep. Later

The cane was 35 inches, so it was also about 90 centimeters ;D
Sergeant Thick? I mean, I know they weren't geniuses but they could've been more subtle.
Is it just me, or when the cobbler started talking, did it sound like Obi Wan?
@PressHeartToContinue It didn't matched 35 inches because the ruler at 3:20 was in centimeters and 35 inches = 88.9Cm. (in england the use Centimeters) :) Hope I could helped :D
lolz jake the ripper sounds like batman
We need Dexter for the blood analysis.
I believe you are thinking of the aardvark from the Pink Panther cartoons? Yeah, he DOES sound like him.
I would like a wicked high five
I feel like this game is more Watson vs Jack the Ripper. That doesn't exactly roll off the tongue tho
@eggroll9000 Liberia and Burma also don't use the metric system.
Can you really blame Dodger for that when they give the size in inches previously, though? Not to mention the fact that the scale is totally unlabelled!
