This has to be one of the prettiest scenic layouts out there, this will win shows for sure
Appreciate it bro! 💚
An excellent example of high class modellling - very inspirational - thank you.
Very kind of you to say mate! Thank you 😊
I liked watching all your videos this year and hope you will have a good 2023
Likewise mate thank you! Have a fantastic new year 🙂
Hi Ollie all the best to you and T for 2023. Wow what a great job you have made of the layout and well worthy of being taken to shows. I love the back story and all the details you have put into it.
I would be delighted to see more and I must catch up on the brake van diaries.
Cheers Kev
A most fascinating and educational and enlightening video into OO modelling. I really enjoyed this video and the further I watched the more yet I wanted to see. Well done Ollie. Top marks!
It's looking great Ollie, very detailed and worthy of showing. Thanks for the shout out.
Thanks! I’ve just ordered another couple of bits from your range on the Scale3D website! 🙂👍
Really enjoyed this video. Thanks for the links to scale 3d and intentio. I haven’t come across these companies before.
Glad you enjoyed, yeh a great couple of companies, Goodwood Scenics is always worth checking out too :)
Terrific model of a fascinating station. Looking forward to seeing it at exhibitions.
Cheers, glad you like it!
Some fantastic modelling, great effort 👍. Looking forward to seeing it at an exhibition soon 🤗
Fingers crossed! Glad you enjoyed mate :)
Hi Ollie What a wonderful layout, really well detailed and the scenery is excellent, the colours blend in perfectly. No doubt as others have mentioned this will win 'best in show' awards in the future. I know sometimes progress can take some time (life just gets in the way, as usual) but do try and keep us updated on this layout and any shows it may attend. Thanks
I really don't think its anything too special but really appreciate the kind words Peter! I will try get some more videos out on the OO Gauge :)
There is some very impressive detail here. I shall look forward to seeing this at an exhibition one day!
Thanks for the kind words James, hope to show more of the layout in future videos!
Looking great Ollie. Some very nice work
Thanks John, much appreciated! Tempted to do a small 00-9 layout too, may have to get some advice off you 😂
@@WardleRestorations it's on my to do list this year
I like what I see. Keep the good work going. Loveit.
Glad you like it, thanks for the kind words
Finally some OO Gauge content!! 🙌 👏👏👏
Would be nice to see a running session or a rosta of the locos you use, see if they are historically accurate 😉
I do have a large selection of period correct rolling stock, and some locos! Will have to see if this video flops or not haha
@Wardle Road fingers crossed it doesn't flop 🫰I'm here for the diddy trains
Well as long as it does ok there will deffo be another 👍👍
Hi Ollie, great to see a location I know, being modeled. The owls you see around there are prob Little owls (grey in colour). good to have a home project not many people are able to get a 12" to the foot scale on their drive 🤣look forward to see the preservation of the brake van & wagons develop, now a different project to watch out for.
Yeh I love this place! Sadly even if there was room in the garden, I don't think the other half would be happy with a brake van sat in it haha
Absolutely exquisite, I hope to create something as good as that in the future. 👍
That's very kind of you to say mate, much appreciated.
Wow what an impressive layout you've caught me off guard with this one I hope that you will do more running sessions in the future see you shortly keep up the good work and all the best for the New Year.
Yeh it was a bit out the blue! Really glad you like it, hope you have a great new year :)
Looking good Ollie, some great progress 😊 I’d forgotten about the owls, one would constantly fly and land along the railway fence keeping track of my old dog when I used to walk her from Elmham to County school and back 😂 Keep up the vids mate 👍🏻
Thank you Tim, yeah I have so many fond memories of rabbits and owls roaming about on my walks from the cottage up to the station, was very important I included both in this scene! Hope your layouts coming along well mate!
Some handy tips there. More OO vids please. Very informative where you sourced the products from. Cheers John
Hi mate, hope to get some more OO videos out in the future, glad you enjoyed!
A great video and really liking the outro music.
Thanks mate glad you enjoyed! 🙂
Excellent
Thank u!
Keep up the good work
Thanks LoftyDale
Hi Ollie 👍 Happy New Year.
The layout is looking awesome and I agree with Underground Eric this will be a fantastic layout on the model show scene. I don’t know how you find the time with the wagon refurbishments you must have a very understanding better half 🤣😂🤣
Happy new year! There really isn't enough hours in the day for all of these projects but I can only try haha
Awesome video
Glad you enjoyed it!
find mk show always inspiring as an exhibitor and visitor. hope you do too. happy new year.
Happy new year! Hopefully I can get the layout to a few shows later in the year :)
Hello, Ollie. Happy New Year to you and yours into 2023. It was great to see the OO layout again and to have you go through it in detail. It is fantastic, even if more is to come. It was very clever and cool to show the original! Glad to see you are still working the little and the big!
Cheers for watching Anthony and I'm glad you enjoyed, hope you had a fantastic Christmas and a wonderful new year, all the best!
Very impressive modelling there. Have you thought about getting yourself 3d scanned by modelu and then have your older self looking outside that bedroom window? :)
Cheers, Michael
Funny you should say that, I'm actually in the ModelU range, here's a link, sadly I'm wearing modern clothing!

Absolutely incredible attention to little details. For sure this will turn heads at shows. I wouldn't be surprised if you are regularly top layout on the circuit. Well done mate 👍🏻
If only! Thanks for watching dude, really appreciate the kind words. I hope its an inspiration to some!
Hiya wow what a lovely layout so far 👍 but 😂 your bean polls need to be more upright looks more like a tent 😂 but on a serious note the layout looks fantastic 👍👍👍
Haha the beans came like that, tbf as long as they grow! LOL! Glad you like the layout though, much appreciated :)
I like the County School railway. I know Little Miss 57xx must be snoozing all Winter long. Could you run her again sometime pretty please? She's my favourite little steamy sister on your railway, and I miss her.
57xx thoroughly enjoys running through County School station!
Wow, County School looks fantastic indeed. I‘d be interested in a tutorial about how you made the road surface to look so good- something I never managed properly.
How come the main Wardle Road layout layout is gone? 😮
Maybe the road surface is something I could do a video on but sadly I didn't take many photos of the process! Yeh the main layout in the room has gone to make way for this and some other smaller projects, and of course I still have the big wagons!
Nifty is that Ollie lad, well done pal.
Really think I should get some of the Oxford pilchards for my up coming 1965 era layout 🙂
I may have missed this but, what measurements are your layout and fiddle yard mate?
Keep it up!
Cheers dude! The layout is 2 5ft sections 1 & 1/2 ft deep, then the fiddle yards are 3ft at each end making it 16ft total length, 10ft scenic!
@@WardleRestorations that's a monster! Where on earth in your house do you keep it?! Be great for shows though with the fiddle yard each end!🙂
@@IronHorseRailways its set up with just the scenic section, I don't have the room for the full 16ft sadly!
@@WardleRestorations that's a shame but 10ft scenic will still give you absolutely tons of room for shunting about the place 🙂
Olly have you tried AK Terrain, very realistic surfaces. Tad expensive but goes along way. Cheapest I’ve found is on Amazon. Range of textured paints.
I’ll take a look at that thank you!
Nice work, love the old castrol drums👍 I am curious as to where county school is located geographically in England ?
Yeh they are a nice little detail! This station is part of the Mid Norfolk Railway (East England) but isn't connected to the rest of the line yet!
I really enjoyed the video Oli. The layout looks spot on. Do you know where the roof tiles are from on the signal box/Station masters cottage?
The roof tiles on the cottages are from Scale Model Scenery, they sell them weathered and non weathered, I went for the weathered version as they match what I'm trying to depict quite well! The tiles on the signal box are from a Wills kit. Really glad you enjoyed mate :)
