Personally I dun like mtm bodies because knee and elbow joints looks terrible, plus the arms looks so skinny and to me the best are vintage bodies with clicky legs/snap knees, this legs looks so beautiful with short clothings, plus I even love the twist and turn waist cuz it allows barbies to turn like. To me mtm bodies are good only when fully covered by long clothings. I have the bmr Kira with this body that I bought to make a custom japanese barbie with kimono so she can bend on her knees for the seiza position and ken looks n. 9 again for a custom ptoject for DOTW. I miss so much the old good days back in the 80's and 90's when barbies were so pretty with such gorgeous faces, especially the superstar era! ❤ Today's barbies are so ugly 😓 but this is just my opinion based on my personal taste. Btw I have two fashionistas barbies, they both are redhead but I dun remember their numbers, but the redhead with light orange hair has been my first modern barbie and my second as "adult" (before her I bought the kenyan one from the DOTW) , she's one of the very few contemporary barbies with a pretty decent face, but when I got her and found out her legs wasn't the snap ones I was so disapointed. I even have three fashionistas kens and in this case the faces aren't so bad as with barbies. Anyway your collection is really interesting and I love kens with rooted hair, I have four rooted hair ken dolls and I'm planning to get more. But who's the youg guy with big feet? Never seen him before, he looks asian. I know the mtm yoga series but no way to like it as well as I dun like chubby barbies. ☹ With shoes I love changing them and playing with outfits, but the good thing of vintage barbies is that they can fit almost every shoes from hight heels to sport and flat ones, the bad thing is vintage shoes are very exprncive in some case, like a real pair of shoes lol. But do u give names to ur dolls? I always do cuz I like it lot!
@@oliveavianca I lived in Japan but at that time I wasn't yet into barbies, btw today I got a new fashionistas from my bf, it's the n 178 one of the very few fashionistas I like. Her face is pretty and it seems the kira face mold, plus I love her sparkling dress, the only bad thing is that she cannot bend her knees like all the latest fashionistas and I cannot change her body since she has a yellowish skintone and she's a petite, and I like to have a short barbie in my collection. I was thinking to use a body from a skipper from the late 90's so maybe it's short but keeping adult aspect but there's still the problem with the skintone. 🤔 Btw it's a pity mattel didn't keep doing fashionistas like at the beginning of 2000 with posable bodies similar to mtm ones but with much better looking joints.
