Man we have waited 9 years for this moment and it's finally here!! I love the confidence Urahara and Kyoraku have in Mayuri! Kyoraku's bankai is absolutely insane!! Lille Barro's Holy Form is wild!! This was another peak episode!! I love Nanao's confidence, she has definitely grown, the fight was fantastic, the animation was brilliant, I love the banter between Kyoraku and Ohana/Katen! What Perriot Films has done with this Cour is absolutely insane💯
Sorry bro I'm late to the party. But any who THIS EPISODE WAS LIT. Shunsui's Bankai activation was amazing, seeing everyone react to the cold and chilling spiritual pressure it released and all the acts unfolding on Lille were animated well. Seeing all the small interactions between the characters and seeing more screen time for shinji and co was nice, I loved that. This episode was great man I can't wait for the finale of these two fights over the next two weeks 😭

Shunsui was silly but also very cold. Just like his Bankai both cold blooded and amusing to watch. Lillie as one of the oldest Quincies, was harmed by a shadow technique. Quincies aren’t the only shadow users.
Shunsui's Bankai actually fits him rather perfectly. He's always been that image of a ronin samurai in a way. He's always had a flair for the dramatic, but with a more cool, laid back attitude. Him having a kabuki style play in full as his Bankai is beautiful poetic justice to me.
They messed up badly on the aura from Shunsui using his bankai. The manga showcases the feeling of the "cold sweat" way better . Also the voice acting on Shunsui saying his Bankai in the anime doesn't compare to the one in this animation. (it's from brave souls, a game, which is crazy considering this is an anime adaptation and they're supposed to make it better than everything else.) Everything else was pretty good but pacing felt like they went way too fast.
A detail I have never seen any RUclipsr mention is this: Shunsui's Zanpakto is themed after Geisha's. A little known fact is a major part of geisha work was playing games (even children's games), musical performances, and reinacting plays. The shikai of Katen Kyokotsu is a series of games. The bankai is a play. Ohana is dressed as a geisha. And for those wondering Shunsui's other zanpakto spirit that looks like a ninja is seemingly themed after exclusively one of the games of the shikai: Kageoni. She is dressed that way because she is fond of hiding in the shadows using Kageoni. This spirit seems not to be a wholely separate entity to Ohana but rather a minor aspect of her split off to house Nanao's sword. So on the whole, Ohana is the original and primary spirit of Katen Kyokotsu.
That ninja girl you are talking about is " Okyou " , the daughter of Ohana ...... Ohana seemingly gave birth to Okyou on the request of Shunsui for the purpose of hiding the Cursed family Zanpakuto of Ise clan aka " Shinten Hakkyoken " ...... In filler arc okyou always kind of disappears from the screen to hide away somewhere while the only one constantly present beside shunsui is Ohana ... While other dual zanpakuto spirits like sogyo no kotowari and zabimaru are always seen together on the screen
They did such a good job with this episode. I loved the humongous scale of the bankai and how it encompassed the whole dish city. And the music in this episode was so good. I was shocked by how fast the episode felt and it left me wanting more
Ep was 🔥🔥. I loved the colouring on shunsui's bankai even more than the dark coloring which perfectly captured that japanese theme and the visuals were crazy. But the actually stuff starts from now on. And ost this ep was so so good man props to sagisu+ animation team for this ep.
the animation wasn't what i expected, but i would say it is near episode 28, but the visuals, colours, storyboard, the art, that crazy final act..ect were PEAK, it was even way better than rukia vs as nodt

I think a cool effect they could've done in the anime. When we see through Lille's perspective the world blinks in and out of dark world like in the manga. When shunsui asks Lille what he feels.

Seeing Shunsui's full bankai unleashed is poetic and amazing just as epic as I imagined it would be, plus Lille Barro's holy form is dope, not to mention this fight is great all around also Ohana 😍

Kyoraku using his Bankai was brilliant in terms of the visuals, sound effects and art style. You could see the mood changing to sombre and darkness. Lille Barro was shook by Kyoraku using his Bankai to subdue him. Key word. Subdue.
The animators picking up the pace is so exciting to me. The stuff kubo is adding and expanding on is amazing and makes it feel like the first time I read it and them picking up the pace just means more of it along side the peak that the manga already is and I’m so here for it
I like how Shunsui seems childish to Lille’s supposed mature stoicism but it’s really how a well-adjusted adult is able to balance out light-heartedness with a mature worldview while Lille is like that uppity kid who acts- emphasis on acting- like an adult. Once the transformation and Bankai release are invoked- Lille exposes how much of a insufferable brat he is deep down as he exposits on how righteous he is as a divine agent and increasingly gets frantic as the situation worsens for him while Shunsui is serious and somber- making it clear he has no time for Lille’s nonsense

this anime keep upscaling Bleach first Ichigo and Uryu then Renji now Shunsui's Bankai range.. KKKS's range is so large now I get why he didn't use it during fake karakura
shunsui could have used it against starkk but it would have affected everyone else in the battlefield also fake karakura town would have been destroyed becuz of sprititual pressure his bankai exerts hence real karakura town would have been in danger if it comes in range of his bankai.
Waited so long for this, it would never have the impact that manga moment did have. Can’t repeat the sheer audacity of Tite dropping in the last arc 😂 I loved it theatrical look and it clearly how he envisioned it. The black and white colouring made the manga hit like a great noir scene but I think the only thing I wish they spent a bit longer with was all the chills and shivers everyone feels. I loved they had everyone feel it but needed bit more scenes of people talking about the shivers

Lille is not the "first quincy" he is more so the "first sternritter". Basically what he said is that he is the "first quincy to be granted a schrift".

8:05 I don't know if you guys know this or not, but if you remember the Jump Festa trailer, THE INITIAL ANNOUNCEMENT TRAILER FOR TYBW, the way that the Final Act is depicted in this episode happens the SAME EXACT way that the Date announcement for Cour 1 happens, down to the very background depicted. The way that Kubo's foreshadowing happens is truly insane. Dec 18th, 2021 -> Nov 30th, 2024. Godlike stuff right there.
Everything about this episode was perfect. Fans have been waiting a long LONG time for this fight to be realized in the anime and my goodness it did a fantastic job at doing that. The coloring was amazing from Shunsui’s yellow Bankai, to Lille’s green wins and shots. It was as beautiful as it could get to an adaptation and was well worth the long wait!
I think the first half of the fight was so well animated I finally get what Shunsuis Shikais abilitys could do. I wished his Bankai would be more darker and terror like in the Manga but it was visually absolutely stunning how beautiful the scene was
It was a good episode but felt like his bankai acts were fast-paced, slowing them a little could have been better n was expecting red or black background on activation instead of that yellowish background still it was great to finally c his bankai
I was expecting a dark blue or dark purple background. Something ghoulish. The yellow made it feel like an extension of his Shikai. I wish they'd have gone for a more, "Play time is over" kind of vibe.
Y'all might talk about his bankai, but his kido is pretty overlooked. Zangerin is like a 360° burst compared to Getsuga Tenshou. That's something Ichigo could really use, and it's a shame we don't see it be effective on an enemy. It looks really cool! That said I know what's coming, and I wish we could see like a Hado 98 from him lol.
Well we never seen his bankai until he did it which is why the manga is unrepeatable but sure Kubo would have added more colour if he wasn’t just stuck black and white for a manga. I feel it was just needing bit longer moment of everyone else getting chills

I just thought of something: does Shunsui call his Zanpakuto because that's perhaps how he called her before knowing her actual name or is it more like a nickname ? It reminded me of the relationship of Zaraki and Yachiru from the CFYOW novel were he still calls her like that despite knowing she's his zanpakuto spirit.
No, Ohana would kind of translate to “wifey”, in the context of their relationship. Katen Kyoukotsu is her real name. So yeah, a bit of a nickname due to their level of familiarity. Just like how she calls him by one of his middle names.
Senjumaru is starting to feel really lucky not having to face these Quincies at full power, aint over yet. Uryu (killed her) without volstadig Jugram (pending) Pernida vs ability adapting Bankai (ongoing) Lille vs Reality warping Bankai (ongoing) Askin, still unscathed vs TS Ichigo (ongoing) Gerrard (pending) SN: Crisp Bankai from the Head Captain.
Senjumaru would have still easily defeated Lille Barro even at his full power. It's almost as if you didn't see how she defeated him in the last cour. She literally reflected his x-axis power back at him. That's literally why he died before being brought back to life again. The only one she'd have trouble defeating is Gérard because of the miracle. And none of them experienced her bankai at it's full power. Her bankai can literally do almost anything. Problem is, people just weren't paying attention to its abilities or kubo's description. They were too busy arguing if she'd beat yamamoto. (She would) 1. She literally killed him by reflecting his power back at him in his first holy form. Even in a complete holy form, he'd be killed the exact same way 2. Pernida wasn't a good match against her. 3. Askin got killed immediately in his first holy form. The real problems here are Gérard and jugram. Because the miracle and balance are busted beyond belief Also, that was a slight use of her power. Not it's full capability. N. Lille barro would one shot yamamoto And any soul reaper that cant counter him. so he's the one lucky to not have faced this power. I didn't include Uryuu because we already know how the antithesis is insanely haxed. Plus he's a double agent so.....

This episode (for me) SUPERSEDES/SUPPLANTS the episode showcasing Yamamoto's (indisputably epic) bankai Zānka No Tachi, which I frankly didn't think could be possible to do... but it did! _Kāten Kyōkotsu Karamatsu Shinju_ (( "Flower Crazed Heaven; Bone-Spirit Withered Pine Love Suicide" )) is... TRULY AWESOME, in the purest [ truest ] sense of the word: One can't help but be in _AWE_ of its scope, depth, and ABSOLUTE fatality!!! Head Captain Shunsui Kyōraku is one of my favorite shinigami... but NOW... I love him, EVEN MORE!!
I haven’t watched it yet but I love watching your reviews 1st so I don’t have to focus to hard on reading subtitles, awatching for Easter eggs and I can just enjoying the art .
Kyroraku showed you why he the goat captain commander.This episode was surreal and Lillie is broken like crazy but Shinsui is a genius fighter and used techniques to counter him. That bankai was crazy and was probably the 2nd best bankai reveals next to Yamas and this was the best episode this cour thus far.

Shunsui cracking jokes, quick comebacks, one-liners and getting NO. REACTION. from his "audience" (Barro) was so damn funny, holy crap. It's perfect. Not every joke needs a huge cartoonish reaction of the other character losing their shit cause of it, it's allowed to be sorta underplayed. Barro just keeps yapping and you're like "this dude and his pink kimono are really just f*ckin with birdman rn" 💀💀
i love how shunsui written. he always explain how his blade works, what kind of "game" the blade make him and his opponent play because he himself is a playful adult. but with how he use his bankai, we know in fact he is a liar. the truth is he never need to explain how his blade work and the rule of the "game". and its shown multiple time where he already taking advantage of the "game" before he even explaining it. and his bankai show everything, he does not explain shit and make barro run for his money. and his bankai is chef kiss. its basicly takaba from jjk (but lets make this clear takaba is the copy).
I like the manga coloring more for some aspects, but nothing to say, they did a great job here. The yellowish tone still makes the horror scene work well, then from the golden-tinged shadows to the figures of the children, from the range of the bankai and the reactions of the others to the traditional Japanese art and music used to portray it, that was splendid. Shunsui Sakuranosuke Jiro Kyoraku, the captain-commander for a reason! 🌲 I wished to see Lille using the "fake Vollstandig" again, before unleashing his true form, but it was more 1:1 to the manga. Waiting for the upcoming part of Shunsui and Mayuri battles, I'm glad that they are remembering of Soifon in the anime, let's see what changes await us (given also that Renji won't come back any time soon).

The best thing about the tybw for me is I get to see everything properly, when the manga was getting written I couldn’t (still can’t) read the panels and speech bubbles in correct order I struggle with it with comics too I have to read all in the bubbles in a panel in all different orders to try and make sense of what is being said so now I atleast get to know which one was right lol

People still talking trash about Senjumaru are clearly dumb,her bankai seals your fate,it can't be avoided All the quincys literally died the way her bankai would've killed them,thats how strong and influential her bankai is....if it wasn't for Uryu with such a dumb and overpowered skill which he used to swap his fate with her,no one would've survived
people don't realize inside senjumaru's bankai she can do any type of reality manipulation it is a collection of domain expanison inside a domain expansion hence she could do anything to finish the opponent does not matter if she creates hollow out of thin air.
For bankai, I would argue its low reality warping especially towards the end where they are submerged in water seemingly out of nowhere. Think of his bankai like an adult play where certain events happen(or acts) until one of them dies. If you read into it more you will notice his bankai is basically just telling a story.
@@Eren-wn8st In the novel, his Bankai is said to have infinite acts. It will always be a 4 act play, but Shunsui can just narrate any situation he wants to enforce on the opponent, and it works. It's like reality warping.
Of all the extra content, i really wish they extended his bankai. Hopefully they shorten the fight so we dont have to deal with dues ex machina sword in the anime. Dude should be dead after the head severing.
I'm ok with the deus ex machine, but they should AT LEAST extend the final interaction where shunsui aids nanao instead of shunsui giving nanao emotional comfort to land a final blow.
Mate, the Deux Ex Machina sword is still going to be in an anime, it was shown in the opening...Strange how this show didn't properly foreshadow the blade considering how bullshit and important it will be in ep 37. I would've preferred the the sword to not be a thing but if you are going to include it, you should at least foreshadow it. Hopefully Kubo does include a scene but the problem is that if he does it in ep 37, then it will be too little too late.
Amazing episode and Bankai reveal! Maybe not jaw dropping as Yamamoto's Bankai but also rly good. Only thing I didn't liked was awkward voice just before full name of Shunsui Bankai. Anyway we have few more big Bankai reveals to see. As i understood fear is the main factor to preform second act (how fear got under LB skin and he start to panic). I have question: What if opponent is not afraid? If he cannot preform second act also he will not be able to preform final act as well? I can see few characters who will not be afraid during second act (Aizen, Yuha with Almighty, Yama, Zaraki and ofc Ichibe who knows all Bankai's).
Vollstandig form screen time is not enough, just showing for few seconds, then lose. It should've make it longer screen time and show more shooting from his wings. So fast finished and lose, that's why I dislike Bleach about this point, same as AsNodt problem, AsNodt showing vollstandig form for few seconds, then lose, screen time is not enough. So fast end. I wanna see more, I wanna see longer of that holy form. It's disappointing.
This is why anime is better than manga. Who the hell thinks that a book can expressive the author's creativity through pictures? The Anime is here for a reason

Kyoraku using his Bankai was brilliant in terms of the visuals, sound effects and art style. You could see the mood changing to sombre and darkness. Lille Barro was shook by Kyoraku using his Bankai to subdue him. Key word. Subdue.

I like how Shunsui seems childish to Lille’s supposed mature stoicism but it’s really how a well-adjusted adult is able to balance out light-heartedness with a mature worldview while Lille is like that uppity kid who acts- emphasis on acting- like an adult.
Once the transformation and Bankai release are invoked- Lille exposes how much of a insufferable brat he is deep down as he exposits on how righteous he is as a divine agent and increasingly gets frantic as the situation worsens for him while Shunsui is serious and somber- making it clear he has no time for Lille’s nonsense

shunsui could have used it against starkk but it would have affected everyone else in the battlefield also fake karakura town would have been destroyed becuz of sprititual pressure his bankai exerts hence real karakura town would have been in danger if it comes in range of his bankai.
Waited so long for this, it would never have the impact that manga moment did have. Can’t repeat the sheer audacity of Tite dropping in the last arc 😂 I loved it theatrical look and it clearly how he envisioned it. The black and white colouring made the manga hit like a great noir scene but I think the only thing I wish they spent a bit longer with was all the chills and shivers everyone feels. I loved they had everyone feel it but needed bit more scenes of people talking about the shivers
Small note it's cool that soi fon didn't get snipped like in the manga. Hoping that means she gets to help yourichi fight asking. They haven't shared screen time since the first fight on ss

8:05 I don't know if you guys know this or not, but if you remember the Jump Festa trailer, THE INITIAL ANNOUNCEMENT TRAILER FOR TYBW, the way that the Final Act is depicted in this episode happens the SAME EXACT way that the Date announcement for Cour 1 happens, down to the very background depicted. The way that Kubo's foreshadowing happens is truly insane. Dec 18th, 2021 -> Nov 30th, 2024. Godlike stuff right there.
Everything about this episode was perfect. Fans have been waiting a long LONG time for this fight to be realized in the anime and my goodness it did a fantastic job at doing that. The coloring was amazing from Shunsui’s yellow Bankai, to Lille’s green wins and shots. It was as beautiful as it could get to an adaptation and was well worth the long wait!
I think the first half of the fight was so well animated I finally get what Shunsuis Shikais abilitys could do.
I wished his Bankai would be more darker and terror like in the Manga but it was visually absolutely stunning how beautiful the scene was

It was a good episode but felt like his bankai acts were fast-paced, slowing them a little could have been better n was expecting red or black background on activation instead of that yellowish background still it was great to finally c his bankai
I was expecting a dark blue or dark purple background. Something ghoulish. The yellow made it feel like an extension of his Shikai. I wish they'd have gone for a more, "Play time is over" kind of vibe.
Also, I agree with the fact that they were a bit too fast-paced. Wouldn't have hurt to add a minute or 2 to the runtime.

Y'all might talk about his bankai, but his kido is pretty overlooked. Zangerin is like a 360° burst compared to Getsuga Tenshou. That's something Ichigo could really use, and it's a shame we don't see it be effective on an enemy. It looks really cool!
That said I know what's coming, and I wish we could see like a Hado 98 from him lol.

I just thought of something: does Shunsui call his Zanpakuto because that's perhaps how he called her before knowing her actual name or is it more like a nickname ? It reminded me of the relationship of Zaraki and Yachiru from the CFYOW novel were he still calls her like that despite knowing she's his zanpakuto spirit.
No, Ohana would kind of translate to “wifey”, in the context of their relationship. Katen Kyoukotsu is her real name. So yeah, a bit of a nickname due to their level of familiarity. Just like how she calls him by one of his middle names.
Senjumaru is starting to feel really lucky not having to face these Quincies at full power, aint over yet.

Senjumaru would have still easily defeated Lille Barro even at his full power. It's almost as if you didn't see how she defeated him in the last cour. She literally reflected his x-axis power back at him. That's literally why he died before being brought back to life again. The only one she'd have trouble defeating is Gérard because of the miracle. And none of them experienced her bankai at it's full power. Her bankai can literally do almost anything. Problem is, people just weren't paying attention to its abilities or kubo's description. They were too busy arguing if she'd beat yamamoto. (She would)
1. She literally killed him by reflecting his power back at him in his first holy form. Even in a complete holy form, he'd be killed the exact same way
2. Pernida wasn't a good match against her.
3. Askin got killed immediately in his first holy form.
The real problems here are Gérard and jugram. Because the miracle and balance are busted beyond belief
Also, that was a slight use of her power. Not it's full capability.
N. Lille barro would one shot yamamoto And any soul reaper that cant counter him. so he's the one lucky to not have faced this power.
I didn't include Uryuu because we already know how the antithesis is insanely haxed. Plus he's a double agent so.....

Kyroraku showed you why he the goat captain commander.This episode was surreal and Lillie is broken like crazy but Shinsui is a genius fighter and used techniques to counter him. That bankai was crazy and was probably the 2nd best bankai reveals next to Yamas and this was the best episode this cour thus far.

i love how shunsui written. he always explain how his blade works, what kind of "game" the blade make him and his opponent play because he himself is a playful adult. but with how he use his bankai, we know in fact he is a liar. the truth is he never need to explain how his blade work and the rule of the "game". and its shown multiple time where he already taking advantage of the "game" before he even explaining it. and his bankai show everything, he does not explain shit and make barro run for his money.

I like the manga coloring more for some aspects, but nothing to say, they did a great job here. The yellowish tone still makes the horror scene work well, then from the golden-tinged shadows to the figures of the children, from the range of the bankai and the reactions of the others to the traditional Japanese art and music used to portray it, that was splendid. Shunsui Sakuranosuke Jiro Kyoraku, the captain-commander for a reason! 🌲
I wished to see Lille using the "fake Vollstandig" again, before unleashing his true form, but it was more 1:1 to the manga. Waiting for the upcoming part of Shunsui and Mayuri battles, I'm glad that they are remembering of Soifon in the anime, let's see what changes await us (given also that Renji won't come back any time soon).

The best thing about the tybw for me is I get to see everything properly, when the manga was getting written I couldn’t (still can’t) read the panels and speech bubbles in correct order I struggle with it with comics too I have to read all in the bubbles in a panel in all different orders to try and make sense of what is being said so now I atleast get to know which one was right lol

All the quincys literally died the way her bankai would've killed them,thats how strong and influential her bankai is....if it wasn't for Uryu with such a dumb and overpowered skill which he used to swap his fate with her,no one would've survived
people don't realize inside senjumaru's bankai she can do any type of reality manipulation it is a collection of domain expanison inside a domain expansion hence she could do anything to finish the opponent does not matter if she creates hollow out of thin air.

For bankai, I would argue its low reality warping especially towards the end where they are submerged in water seemingly out of nowhere. Think of his bankai like an adult play where certain events happen(or acts) until one of them dies. If you read into it more you will notice his bankai is basically just telling a story.

In the novel, his Bankai is said to have infinite acts. It will always be a 4 act play, but Shunsui can just narrate any situation he wants to enforce on the opponent, and it works. It's like reality warping.

Of all the extra content, i really wish they extended his bankai. Hopefully they shorten the fight so we dont have to deal with dues ex machina sword in the anime. Dude should be dead after the head severing.
I'm ok with the deus ex machine, but they should AT LEAST extend the final interaction where shunsui aids nanao instead of shunsui giving nanao emotional comfort to land a final blow.
Mate, the Deux Ex Machina sword is still going to be in an anime, it was shown in the opening...Strange how this show didn't properly foreshadow the blade considering how bullshit and important it will be in ep 37. I would've preferred the the sword to not be a thing but if you are going to include it, you should at least foreshadow it. Hopefully Kubo does include a scene but the problem is that if he does it in ep 37, then it will be too little too late.

Amazing episode and Bankai reveal! Maybe not jaw dropping as Yamamoto's Bankai but also rly good. Only thing I didn't liked was awkward voice just before full name of Shunsui Bankai. Anyway we have few more big Bankai reveals to see.
As i understood fear is the main factor to preform second act (how fear got under LB skin and he start to panic).
I have question: What if opponent is not afraid? If he cannot preform second act also he will not be able to preform final act as well?
I can see few characters who will not be afraid during second act (Aizen, Yuha with Almighty, Yama, Zaraki and ofc Ichibe who knows all Bankai's).

Vollstandig form screen time is not enough, just showing for few seconds, then lose. It should've make it longer screen time and show more shooting from his wings. So fast finished and lose, that's why I dislike Bleach about this point, same as AsNodt problem, AsNodt showing vollstandig form for few seconds, then lose, screen time is not enough. So fast end. I wanna see more, I wanna see longer of that holy form.
