    About filing down the safety lever @ 6:31 -- a lot of people will have to do this, and not realize why at first. The magnet holder partially blocks the gearbox retention pin, so you'll pull the trigger to get that inserted, and your trigger will always be part-way pulled, like a trigger shim. But you have to make sure the safety lever still works as it should with the the trigger's new position, and that's why you have to file it down, or remove it. I didn't file mine enough, and the safety is stuck on until I open it up again to fix. This is a big headache, and a reason why I prefer the older Optical unit.

    • @perunairsoft4811
      @perunairsoft4811  3 года назад

      It depends on where the magnet is located on the gear and how strong it is. It's very likely, that it won't interfere with working of Perun's trigger sensor, which is the one magnet-based. You can also try removing the magnet.

      Thank you, we're happy to hear that :) The Hybrid should be fine after contact with water. We have tested it in a similar fashion as the Optical and it survived just fine. We still wouldn't recommend purposefully putting it underwater, but should your replica for some reason drown in a river for instance, Perun will most likely keep working.

      Do you mean, whether the installation would be different? It might be, because LCT often uses 32:1 gears, also known as max torque or infinite torque. Perun V2 Hybrid can't detect those and they need to be replaced to, for instance, a 27:1 gearset.

    Everything goes great but when I assemble the gear box it just doesn’t ONE shoot and stop working.

    • @perunairsoft4811

      Please make sure that everything works smoothly inside the gearbox. You can do that by assembling the gearbox without the main and the tappet plate spring, piston in the forward position, and then spinning the motor gear manually using a screwdriver, bit by bit, until you make a full gearbox cycle. The gears should be moving without much resistance.
      Also make sure that motor's positon is not the problem. The motor being positioned too far from or too close to the gears can both cause such a problem. You can also look for short circuits caused by pinched insulation.
      If this won't help, please contact our tech support at info@perunairsoft.pl

      @@perunairsoft4811 I tried again and it continues the same problem.
      All the 3 gears works smoothly together or separately.
      It’s like same security system blocks the motor. When I shoot one, the gearbox do one cycle and stops. After that, when I connect the battery, it doesn’t make the BIP sound.
      To make it works again, I have to remove the motor, force it with my hand to do one circle, and the system make that bip sound again. So I assemble the gearbox, and when I pull the trigger, it does one shoot and stops.
      All the lights are working perfectly, the 3 fire mods, the purple trigger lights, the gear cycle lights… but when I shoot, it stops.

      @@perunairsoft4811 I am new to airsoft and aeg replicas. since I own a Cybergun FN SCAR-L aeg, I noticed that it worked well at first, but when I started to use an 11.1V lipo instead of the stock 8.4V NiMH battery, the V2 gearbox started to make more noise than before, and then, it caused me trouble.
      I took the gearbox apart and removed the stock grease, which looked like tooth paste (and probably greased the gears just as well). I then reassembled it all and tested the SCAR again: it was better, but still not reliable. BB-feeding went astray more often and the sound was still not good.
      Then I took it apart again, cleaned all the bushings and gears, piston and just everything there was, after which I applied general purpose grease from a canister, which is meant for greasing hinges and such. I also took the O-ring and stretched it by putting it onto the outer cylinder, before I greased it too and put it back on the piston.
      I did not have high hopes for this arbitrary action of mine, so all the greater was my astonishment when I had reassembled it all: the SCAR was shooting like it never did before! High FPS and high ROF, and no sign of a miss-feeding whatsoever! Amazing! All I did was remove the old grease, cleaned everything and greased it all. The hardware is still stock, with standard contacts and no mosfet yet.
      But, I am considering the Perun V2 Hybrid anyway. I do not like the idea that copper contacts are switching 7A or more current as in the good ol' days of the early 1900's. Electronics like a mosfet ought to be standard.

      With such a configuration - definitely yes, the wires can get warm and that's acceptable.

    • @error262
      @error262 2 года назад +2

      Your wires are heating up because your motor is draining to much power, it's over stressed and the wires are too thin for that kind of power. Your motor is too fast for that kind of build, lacks torque. Try getting 18k motor if you don't mid lower ROF or get a brushless Warhead 30k (or 27k Base) motor.
      Even your battery is at the limit of it's power output, it might puff up over time. 2.2Ah (2200mAh) 30C = 64A output current. 30k motors are 16TPA, you might be abusing your battery by pulsing at 100A (probably around 60A on Semi) or even more.
      30k is supposed to be used with up to M120 spring if you're using 18:1. Doesn't matter what the manufacturers says, it's 16TPA motor and it just drains way too much power with such a powerful spring.
      Guarder SP110 is around M120, they rate their springs with 0.25G bbs instead of 0.20.
      Since you're using SP150 my guess is that it's some kind of DMR and 18k motor would be much better for that anyway. You'd get a noticeable gain in semi response since it has much more torque.

      KWA replicas (except for the old 2GX ones) are tricky. There are many Hybrids installed in them and they work mostly fine, but sometimes it takes a lot of headache to make them work that way. The problem are the small excursions away from the standard that KWA makes. KWA 2.5 gearbox was optimized to work with Gate Titan, but it’s still not a 100% Tokyo Marui compatible gearbox and often need for modification arises. The short answer is - yes, but if you have a lot of experience with teching, have a dremel around and can put some time into making it work.

    • @perunairsoft4811

      No, unfortunately not. We recommend trying 100:300 gears instead. If you're using any high torque motor, 100:300 or even 100:200 should be enough to pull pretty much any spring. Unless you want to use 32:1 for a different reason.
      BTW, V2 Hybrid does not work with 32:1 gears, but V3 Hybrid does.

      Yes, but there are two small caveats:
      - with 19-teeth gears and if the build is rather slow, if you don't want to use precocking, it's recommended to actually set precocking to level 1 or 2 to ensure proper gearbox cycling. In all other cases the Hybrid can be used similarly to any other replicas,
      - you'd need to grind down a small, protruding part of the gearbox shell, which normally holds the contacts; it's something that has be done to accomodate almost all drop-in mosfets.
