1. Yes the silences were intentional . Me breaking away during the silence instead of having a measurement of timing was also a choice of mine. I tried both methods but prefered breaking away more. I felt that comin back in when I felt it was right just felt better (especially with the change in tempo)
2. I always try to just put out a track I like (like in 2021) however, it was a little different this time. I actually took a long time preparing this years wildcard but was unable to execute it well because I got sick. I made this last minute track instead due to this, so it makes me really happy to see you enjoy & understand the entire track xD I think me getting ill was also a blessing tbh, cause I managed to create another track that I really like xD

As an acapella artist, I believe that the energy of a song is in the breath and silence. How energetically you breathe (or lack thereof) between pitches telegraphs the song's energy to the listeners/audience.

I have been listening to Before I Go for weeks now whenever I go out on a walk so glad you feel that it is just as listenable! I also replayed that first drop a bunch of times cause that combo just flows so well.

I’d love to have more beatbox like Stitch’s wildcard, I love deep basses and drops but the musicality of that is great, maybe not battle worthy though (big maybe), but it’s an amazing track.

I think Steady did something impossible which is taking generic thing as a DNB beatbox and just with that(the way he did it) he made it very very enjoyable and in same time this sounded battle ready 100 percent, display of technicality and structure for me at least is there, and even visual delivery is on point. Oh yeah and i was screaming and jumping together with D-low and i think plenty of us did hehehe. Let me pull my magic ball.... i predict 7th place just because its a sick sick sick well thought DNB but not necessarily a breakthrough in beatboxing. Lets see how my estimate holds up hihhihi...

By the way, if you really want to learn poly. I recommend not doing a very high falsetto. I personally do a falsetto at a lower note to be able to do poly. You may have to go lower or maybe even higher, or you aren’t whispering at a level you need to do that you can get that perfect mix to get poly.
