The Toad and Bowser switching gimmick in Mario's Rainbow Castle was actually in the original version. Although it didn't turn to night when Bowser showed up in that version and also the item shop is new.
I like when they bring back enemies or items from other games, makes them feel like they haven't been forgotten and actually belong in the Mario universe

So I played each Mario Party probably like one time through so I am not entirely familiar with all of the items so sorry for some of my lack of knowledge of returning items there.

I’m so glad Nin10doland included the Pagoda Peak theme from Mario Party 7 in his video my dad and I used to play Pagoda Peak all the time on Mario Party 7 on the classic GameCube.
Before, the character animations (running, receiving items etc.) were all very quick and simple. But Jamboree really likes to take those animations at a slower pace, allowing the player to appreciate the surroundings, as if they were the character. The animations are slightly slower, but much more clean and it breathes new life into the game and I love that! I'm so happy they decided to change the perspective view of the player on the board from always being an up-view to more of a driving front-view! I'm immersed into the world immediately! Keep it up, Nintendo!
I really wish they would pull an everyone is here when it comes to characters, hopefully we get some with DLC. I just need Blooper and Koopa Kid. Would love to see the Koopalings too, tho.

I'm glad while there are brand new minigames they're also including few older ones. They honestly should bring back more minigames from 8, 9 and 10. Even though 8 mostly has motion control minigames they could be easily made button only. And as for 9 and 10, since they're so hated by most of the Mario Party community because of their new board mechanic it overshadows their great selection of minigames such as Logger Heads, Peak Precision and Smart Cards from 9 and Paintball Battle, Meanie Match, and Soar to Score from 10. These are just a few of free-for-all minigames what those games have and there are much more! Mario Party 4 getting love here. ❤

Wonder maybe Pauline can be in super Mario bros. Wonder 2 or whatever and etc. Also with the players riding on Yoshi in the Yoshi obstacle course, I wonder if Yoshi or Birdo will be riding yoshis too. Well as long as tug o war and other joystick rotating minigames never comes back I will be happy, I think I will be hyped for the video game probably more so than Mario Party Superstar. That game was almost perfect except it brought that minigame back which I will never understand why they thought it was a good idea.
While i'm unsure on what will happen with Yoshi on that minigame, Birdo will definetly ride a Yoshi, as she lacks the ability to flutter jump, unlike Yoshi

The Minigames and Bowser's Minigame by Koopathlon seemed to me like Mario Party Star Rush 3DS, the Coinathlon minigame. As an example, the surprise box is for the thanks to the coins to recharge to leave the Surprise box. It is also inside the X2 Surprise Box and Red Coin Bag, or more stuff.
Also, I'm noticing no one realizing that the marathon mode is a sequel/reference to Star Rush's Coinathalon, where players play single player mingames to collect coins and advance, first to complete enough laps wins, players could use items to sliw down, freeze or reset the minigame for other players or boost yourself but increasing your earnings, and Bowser would pop in after a certain amount of laps and force everyone to play a survival Minigame and whoever got eliminated got pushed backwards, and this marathon mode seems to be an evolution of that formula
so 20 single player mini-games? if thats the case I am less excited for the game. That would mean 90 mini-games for party mode IF there wasnt all the other extra mini-games outside of it. Was hoping for 70 or 80 mini-games for party mode, but now probably only 50 or 60 lol. Less than 50 or 60 if you play it online since there wont be any motion control based mini-games online. Oh well. Maybe the next Mario Party game on the their next console will have 80+ mini-games for party mode.
I'm usually on his side but, dude. I've only watched the first 12 minutes or so and he CLEARLY hasn't done his research on the less like Mario Party games (I don't blame him too much, they are not like as much, therefore are presented as time wasters) and it's very hard to watch. Mostly, he's describing some items as "new" because they aren't in the switch Mario Party games with the design he's seeing, when in actuality those items are in 9, 10 or the handheld titles (which again, are the less liked games). The board specific items are cool and I love the idea of them, further making each board feel different.
The warp block isn't new, but it has had different effects, in Star Rush/Top 100, you teleport to an opponent of your choice, and in Super, its a team item that lets you teleport to your teammate
And in Star Rush, everyone moves at the same time, so taking in mind it teleports after everyone decides where they go, but before anyone actually moves, it can help with grabbing allies and items they were about to grab.

Oh man. I am looking forward to playing this game. This is. How long is it gonna be one of the best Mario party games of all time? And to be honest, I have never played any of the money party games. I have 2 on the switch, but I never played them. Maybe because I'll have friends to play with. I mean, I would love to but when I've heard about this game, it looks like a lot of fun. Hopefully we get unique and awesome characters. Considering that we got Pauline as it excellent choice. And to be honest, hopefully, they add New characters maybe potential Mario movie characters like, can you imagine that? But anyway, I am really looking forward to playing this Mario party for the first time ever. There has been a similar rhythm game in the first Super Mario Party called "Time to Shine" in which the players must shake the Joy-Con with the right timing. Players score one point if they get the timing too late or too early, but they can score three points if their timing is deemed "Nice!" and the player's character's image is lit in the background. Waluigi is always the character to showcase what to do, unless he is being a playable character he is replaced either by Luigi, Peach, Daisy, or Rosalina. So this could be a returning minigame.
What controller types can be used in this game? Full controllers, or can this game only be played with single sideways joycons like that one Mario Party was?

Also, I'm noticing no one realizing that the marathon mode is a sequel/reference to Star Rush's Coinathalon, where players play single player mingames to collect coins and advance, first to complete enough laps wins, players could use items to sliw down, freeze or reset the minigame for other players or boost yourself but increasing your earnings, and Bowser would pop in after a certain amount of laps and force everyone to play a survival Minigame and whoever got eliminated got pushed backwards, and this marathon mode seems to be an evolution of that formula
so 20 single player mini-games? if thats the case I am less excited for the game. That would mean 90 mini-games for party mode IF there wasnt all the other extra mini-games outside of it. Was hoping for 70 or 80 mini-games for party mode, but now probably only 50 or 60 lol. Less than 50 or 60 if you play it online since there wont be any motion control based mini-games online.
Oh well. Maybe the next Mario Party game on the their next console will have 80+ mini-games for party mode.
The chain chomp whistle; the golden pipe were THE chomp call that MOVES THE STAR and the the golden pipe that MOVES YOU TO THE STAR they're old items.
We should get dlc characters like Mario Kart getting Link, Zelda, Villager etc..
I'm usually on his side but, dude. I've only watched the first 12 minutes or so and he CLEARLY hasn't done his research on the less like Mario Party games (I don't blame him too much, they are not like as much, therefore are presented as time wasters) and it's very hard to watch. Mostly, he's describing some items as "new" because they aren't in the switch Mario Party games with the design he's seeing, when in actuality those items are in 9, 10 or the handheld titles (which again, are the less liked games).
The board specific items are cool and I love the idea of them, further making each board feel different.
Watched the whole thing now, this looks like the MK8DX of Mario Party and I am SO EXCITED!!!

The warp block isn't new, but it has had different effects, in Star Rush/Top 100, you teleport to an opponent of your choice, and in Super, its a team item that lets you teleport to your teammate
And in Star Rush, everyone moves at the same time, so taking in mind it teleports after everyone decides where they go, but before anyone actually moves, it can help with grabbing allies and items they were about to grab.
Also it seems I was right about those space items, and they seem like they'll work like the Hexes in Mario Party DS
Chickens were in Mario Party before, specifically Mario Party 3's duel mini game: Fowl Play.

Oh man. I am looking forward to playing this game. This is. How long is it gonna be one of the best Mario party games of all time? And to be honest, I have never played any of the money party games. I have 2 on the switch, but I never played them. Maybe because I'll have friends to play with. I mean, I would love to but when I've heard about this game, it looks like a lot of fun. Hopefully we get unique and awesome characters. Considering that we got Pauline as it excellent choice. And to be honest, hopefully, they add New characters maybe potential Mario movie characters like, can you imagine that? But anyway, I am really looking forward to playing this Mario party for the first time ever. I wonder if it's gonna have amiibo Support, considering that mario party ten and super mario party had them so, hopefully, maybe they'll add unique ideas if they ever do add amiibo Support? There has been a similar rhythm game in the first Super Mario Party called "Time to Shine" in which the players must shake the Joy-Con with the right timing. Players score one point if they get the timing too late or too early, but they can score three points if their timing is deemed "Nice!" and the player's character's image is lit in the background. Waluigi is always the character to showcase what to do, unless he is being a playable character he is replaced either by Luigi, Peach, Daisy, or Rosalina. So this could be a returning minigame.
