@drghulamqadirlone922 Land does not belong to any particular ethnic group - we must all learn to share resources and live in peace together with equal rights.
The fatal weakness of the UN system on the question of Palestine is that Israel claims its legitimacy as a state - its 'right to exist' - on the basis of its admission to the UN in 1948 by a two-thirds majority, albeit opposed by all its Arab neighbours (therein the sign of all trouble to come). 1948 was an important moment. India had gained its independence the previous year and decolonisation was beginning to gain momentum. Two developments bucked this trend: the establishment of Israel and the election of the white nationalists in South Africa, who set out to establish apartheid. Less than a generation later, say about 15 years, UN membership had trebled; the USSR and satellites had also changed their position on support for Israel. In this changed world, a motion brought to the UN to establish a Jewish settler colony on a British mandate territory in Arab lands could never have gained a two-thirds vote: for a 'Jewish state' could only be established by driving out the indigenous inhabitants. From this stems also the flawed project of the 'two-state solution', which is neither just nor viable: it's premised on Israel's membership of the UN as a legitimate state. International law is hoist on this petard. All fair-minded people can see that ethnocracy is wrong, and that it was misguided to make reparations to European Jews for the Holocaust by allowing them to settle in the Middle East and start the Zionist project of ethnic cleansing. The only solution that meets contemporary criteria of human rights and democratic values is for Israel/Palestine to become a single, secular, democratic state with equal rights for all. The so-called 'international community' needs to recognise that those powers who imposed Israel on the Middle East in 1948 were wrong to do so, and that the vast majority of current UN member states were excluded from the decision. Bad decisions of the past should not all be immutable or freeze the possibility for the righting of historic wrongs.

The British dropped the ball. Then the American influence has not helped either party build the path to living in the way God would have us live, here. The whole history in the Middle East would have been different and all of the lives would have prospered, and our world would have developed more fairly and honestly! And our culture here in the United States would still have newspapers, and independent radio stations and magazines, and elected leaders that are centered and focused on better living in our cities, and governmental budgets! And on and on!
I find the interviewer somewhat disrespectful. He talked down to people who he disagrees with, he says Sachs’ article is naive, has called Raghuram Rajan wrong, and soon. What makes him credible. I like the people he invites, but I think the interviewer could bring better manners.
Canaan land Palestine inhabited by Samaritans of torah in Istael and jews in Jerusalem judea...
Ancestry of Palestinians...
Europeans Jews converted to judaism in Khazaria driven out by Czars of Russia, the Mongols and the Vikings...
Arabian jews lived in harmony and Peace with other Arabs...
To me it seems religion is the problem, love everyone and yourself and be done with it... it's not hard
that AI cover is disgusting, the text doesnt even make sense. I'm considering unsubscribing
Not that deep 😭🙏
Then Allah SWT will his armies as per the armies of Allah at Los Angeles.... Aamiin YRA.
If 2 state...then how do you stop the very reasonable revenge urges of the Palestinians?
Israel will never relinquish its status as a Jewish state. The Jewish People have been through far too much. And Israel is strong and is willing to go to the ends of the earth to keep itself intact as a Jewish state.
Yawn. Same old fantasies. Same old lies. For some reality, listen to or watch Dan Scheuftan.
Do you really think Palestine can function as a state?
Yes, they could with territorial continuity and without blockade.
@nitrocurry00 Yemen, former Syria, Libya, Sudan, and Iraq hardly can function as state as they all have civil war. Believing Palestine can function as a state is bit of being too much optimistic.
Israel 🇮🇱 should build new settlements in gaza
They can go back to US or the dual nationality country on their passport.
@Mahrud-f2q jews are from Judea but you can go back to Jordan or Egypt 😅
How would new settlements in Palestinian territory assist matters and would continue their illegal activity, or are you suggesting the Israeli government rebuild homes they have destroyed in order for Gazans to occupy?
@edelgyn2699 well the Palestinians terorists tried to destroy Israel and they never wanted a state, they want to destroy Israel, they are saying that all the time that is why they should lose some land that was never theirs
Yawn. Every person seriously investigating your claims will find them to be mostly hogwash.
Only 1 Jewish state.
BS 💩 Israel 1948 , Britain gave It you Nazis 🇮🇱 illegally !
It’s only Palestine 🇵🇸!
Only one palestinian state
There seems to be little 'Jewish' about Israel other than a minority of Israeli Jews who are opposed to Zionism.
@@hakanpetersson2662 Not yet, but let's keep pushing for its existence and recognition!
@@edelgyn2699 Palestine is already a state and recognized as such by over 130 states. What it lacks is sovereignty.
Thet tried to steal the land of Israel 🇮🇱 and got punished by god
@@gevaeilan3132 Palestinians are the descendants of Caananites and Samaritans and Judeans, mostly who survived the invasion of the Hebrew tribes. Many were formerly Christians or Jews, and for many their heritage extend back well before the invasion by the Hebrew tribes. Know history or be an ass.
Israel was established in 1948 . FAKE Israel 🇮🇱!
It’s Palestine 🇵🇸 ONLY , the ZioJew Nazis 🇮🇱can 🤬🖕🏻 OFF & go to
Antarctica 🇦🇶
What is the 'land of Israel'? Do you even know?
@edelgyn2699 absolutely, the original is from the Nile to the prath, mean while they are on Jude and Samaria and the small israel 🇮🇱 , it's in the Bible, you should read it
@@gevaeilan3132your bible not mine !!!
No such thing as Palestine mentioned in the Quran and who is the Palestinians.
Hmm, and quite possibly there was no mention in the Quran of the countries we now know as Jordan, Libya, Yemen, Iraq or Sudan - doesn't mean there weren't local indigenous populations living there for thousands of years. Not sure what point you're trying to make referencing the Quran?
I do know Palestine was mentioned by the English author Shakespeare in the 1600's.
No such thing as the USA in the Bible either. In fact not even a jewish state called Israel.
@johnerispe
in answer to your question, the Palestinians are descendants of all the people who have called the Holy-land home
You keep spamming that mantra. There was no such thing as the state of Israel or Israelis until 1948. In 19947 there were resident Jews of British Palestine who considered themselves to be Palestinians.
@@ilanafitzgerald9000 He's probably yet another Islamophobe...
Shame on you defending terrorist against your own people
We're not all living in a tribe where we rob others to support our tribe.
Supporting genocide, war crimes, ethnic cleansing, illegal occupation & Apartheid - and shaming others for defending terrorists🤡
😂😂😂
Arabs in Judea Samariaare from Jordan. Gaza Arabs from Egypt
Radecki family from Palestine since 1927 😂
There has always been moving populations in the Levant and many people are of mixed heritage which you would know if you've spent any time in the various countries!
2 STATE SOLUTION, IS GOOD IF IT IS ACCORDING TO 1948 =
AT LEAST %48 OF PALESTINE LAND;FOR PALESTINIANS.
OTHERWISE, THERE WILL NOT BE DIFFERENCE TO CURRENT SITUATION;
IMAGINE ALL EXILED PALESTINIANS , DECIDE TO COME BACK TO THEIR LAND;
+ 2 MILLIONS + X MILLIONS MORE PEOPLE, IN #%20 OF LAND ?
Israeli palestinians don't want their area to be transferred to a palestinian state, but it is good bargaining tactic to demand what you are entitled to and then negotiate compromises.
There is no such thing “Palestine “
"isreal" is real since 1948 😘
You should educate yourself on history Palestine does Exist ISREAL State was created in 1948 history does not lie
@@Jinx-z2g
Absolutely correct 💯
Tell that to the Romans
Know history or sound like you, ignorant.
To rive to sea for the people land been taken by Israel. It’s not there country.
2 state is not the solution.
Only state of palestine and jews can live under Palestinian flag, if they chose to stay. They have 2 passports anyways
That is if jews in Israel accept it. They don't. So why would you think that solution will work better?
Jeffrey Sachs God Bless U intelligent man thank u
Of course yes
"Israeled" means when someone asks to share something of yours, then claims it as their own, and takes it for themselves
