I always laught at people that start their coments with "what they just bought" - most of us are here because we are checking out 4K/8K, HDR etc on our new devices but most of us have dicks of normal sizes and we don't have to tell the whole f-ing world about what we just bought :D LOL.

I just couldn't stop gaping in awe and wonder when I EXPERIENCED this on my 4K HDR OLED. I mean this has truly got to be the pinnacle of HDR reference quality on RUclips. I can be very good salesperson for LG OLEDs if you guys continue to produce such demo videos. Hats off to you J and K.
for those if you with 4k, here's a top tip for "test" footage like this, bump up the speed to 1.25 for extra image quality , the extra framerate helps to fooling your brain into making it look more like real life
In about 2/3 months, I'II be watching this on my OLED. I'm so excited already!

@Jacob + Katie Schwarz What screen do you use to show 8k content? The Samsung 2019 QLED TVs have fake 8k, even 4k TVs have more detail.
@@Deffine I know this is really late, but multiple displays can be used to collectively show content, making one large screen with full detail (except for the edges of each screen)
WOW. Even on my 11 pro max in 1080 HDR I’m absolutely STUNNED at the colors in this video... they are some of the most impressive I’ve ever seen in any RUclips video holy 😳

Chrome, Firefox, Opera and Edge... 8K???
I just watched it on a 2020 50" Samsung Crystal TU8000 4K TV and it was so intense with numerous shades of color and tons of minute detail. Wasn't quite prepared for what I saw.
I know I'm late. But this is beautiful. I've been watching for a while now. 🖤🤙🏽🖤

What I find interesting from a hardware perspective is how much easier this video is to run than your older Peru in 8k60 video. This video only uses about 45% of my GPU (GTX 1660) whereas the Peru one uses about 75%. Your videos look absolutely amazing, by far the highest quality videos I know of on the platform. If I turn off hardware acceleration in Chrome I can't playback the video in 8k on my Ryzen 6 1600, and my laptop can't view it above 4k at all due to limitations of Intel HD 620 graphics. Edit: I have to come back to correct myself, it wasn't possible when I first came across the video to play it back in 8k on my laptop, but I'm currently watching in 8k and it only uses 80% to watch the Peru video and 40% for this one. There must have been a lot of optimization work done over the last few years to make this possible.

Odd, I'm using Chrome but I can only get 4k HDR not 8K HDR, the option isn't available.

8K looks quite amazing on a 1080p display, actually.
I'm guessing it's just the higher bitrate. I guess it might anti-aliaze...(aliasize?) itself since it's so high res(Like a resolution scaler for a game) but I doubt it. Disclaimer: I'm not smart(I put my hand in a toaster once) but your display is capable of only showing 1080p and not a pixel more.

I dont own a 4k or 8k tv!but this is pretty amazing details!just got a curved 27 inch monitor!its ok for now!

I gotta regularly reinstall RUclips to get the 8k option back, luckily Samsung makes so easy it's silly. Just hit reinstall and open button is a few clicks up, and it opens as normal without even having to reenter sign in info. 🤣

Are you watching on C9 connected to a pc? You need certain things for it to work with HDR. You need supported hardware, make sure HDR support is turned on in Windows and you need a browser that support VP9 video playback (click stats for nerds on the video for tech specs).
@@Deffine I havent tried it on my Rig yet, but i will later. At the moment i've watched on the RUclips App, that comes with the TV WebOS.
