The thing I like about Sergey is that he’s already got an amazing and powerful singing voice and chooses to sing very dramatic songs at Eurovision anyways so that even if he were just there and they just used colored lights the audience would be moved and yet he adds layer upon layer to it by having visually stunning staging so that the audience just can’t stop listening and watching as they go on the journey of the song with him. He doesn’t need the staging yet he gives us, the audience, even more than we thought we wanted! And on top of that, he makes it all look sooooo easy! That’s talent!
That song is a rite of passage for new Eurovision fans. Makes totally sense for all to react to it :) Lots of love to all of you. PS. please react to Sergey Lazarev+Helena Paparizou signing a combined cover of My number one/You are the only one. Eurovision royalty right there.
You should probably know that the composer and stage designer of both Sergey’s Eurovision performances are Greeks. Dimitris Kontopoulos & Fokas Euagelinos
Exactly and I hate when people try to defend them but they are the same people who complain every year about the winner. Since 2010 the only winners that would be different if it was 100% televotes would be 2015,2016 and 2019. This would have won if it was a Greece cause the politics wouldn’t have gotten in the way.
Nah, 1944 deserved it. Dami and Lazarev sang well and had fantastic vocals and great staging, and definitely they were top 3 worthy, but they're not Jamala tier. Jamala did all that and more with an impassioned, beautiful song and amazing stage presence.
@@crazywalker484 I defend the juries but why should anyone who defends them complain about the winners since they are most of the time also the jury winners? Only in 2016, 2019 and 2021 it was different but I'm totally fine that Italy and especially Ukraine and the Netherlands won. Also Italy 2015, Russia 2016 and Norway 2019 wouldn't be bad winners either even though the juries put them lower than the televote
@@crazywalker484 Yeah, it's sad that the "jurys" can't leave politics out of the contest. And the thing is, I wound't be as angry if let's say Australia would've won. But 1944 is a poltical song wich is basicly a smack in russias face. If Jamala has a personal issue with Russia, okay. But ESC is NOT the place to talk or sing about it ! This Contest usally doesn't allow political songs, so I can't understand why or how in the world the EBU allowed 1944 in the contest. And what bugs me is that in 2017 Ukraine banned Russia from taking part. And I'm pretty sure that even if Julia would have not travelled to Krim (I believe) before or even if Russia would've chossen another singer, Ukraine still would have found a way to kep Russia from taking part. But hey, I sort of consider the whole MARUV story from 2019 as payback for Ukraine. The cherry on top would be if Russia actually gets her to represent them 😄😁
The music of the song was composed from one Greek composer , named Dimitris Kontopoulos . Maybe you hear the reference to 2005 winner song of Helena Paparizou , '' My Number one '' !
I knew it. Blew them of their feet with that one. Good that they were sitting down 😂. Now early 2000s or before that🤔. I would go for Ruslana, Eimar Quinn or Céline Dion. If you really gonna go old school...Brotherhood of Man, Cliff Richard or Domenico Modugno
Sergey just changed the game with his staging in 2016, absolute legend.
Debatable
Måns changed it first.
😮
@@naedot.9779 yea but Sergey made it way cooler
I love these two girls. They are respectful and very fun 😃
They are really enjoying this. Open minded, interested in the music and the whole experience. They are really great to watch.
@@Wriwnas1 yup totally. Love them
When they were amazed by the wings, I knew their reaction to the truly good stuff will be good.
One of my favorites through the years and I was so mad back then that it finished 3d

I know this is already recorded but I wish you show them FUEGO by the iconic Eleni 🔥
She wants to see old music?! Give her an Eurovision Superfan medal already 😂
That was the best performance of 2016, of all ESC ever. He deserved the first place.
This staging is amazing, but overshadows the song, which is also really good
He is so creative
Speaking about AMAZING staging... ZERO GRAVITY Australia 2019. Kate Miller Heidke is a BOSS
Should have won that year

Hard Rock Hallejuah for early 2000s. Or show them ABBA or Celine Dion and really blow their minds XD
Rock 'n Roll kids/Ireland is a good one personally.. Underrated beautiful song that won
Fokas Evagelinos a Greek choreographer is behind what you see
