This looks like a great figure. I love how they focused all the articulation all throughout it instead of just in the upper or lower body like some others
Wow, this figure is AMAZING. Definitely a breathe of fresh air. Plus I’m really into mechs in the moment, and just the fact that it also has stupid high articulation! Great vids n pics! Keep it up!
Excellent review & photos as always Dr D ! I received my APOLLO last week 28th June 2018 & earlier than the July ETA date (Credit to Toynotch right there) ! This figure / toy is amazing & over my 40+ years of toy/figure collecting sits in my top 5 EASY. It is a true work of art & beautifully designed & executed. I was SO impressed I emailed the Toy Notch crew to thank them for this piece of TOY action figure briliance (and so should you). Aaron Thomas the creator & designer kindly replied & his last words made me smile, saying ".... I hope you will continue to enjoy our products as we expand the line moving forward." So here's hoping for MORE figures in this beautiful ASTROBTS line !
Thank you so much for this review! I would of never figured out how to install the batteries on the back, the details are almost seamless. I have the weathered version myself, loving it so far!
I was hoping for a comparison to Storm Collectibles, like Alex and Akuma. Good review, glad I preordered one, we haven't had this kind of poseable fun since the 18" Spider-Man 2 figure from ToyBiz with 67 points of articulation. Pleased to see this works in 1:12 scale.
This guy is pretty amazing. He looks a bit like a Metallo, especially if his eyes were green. But after you mentioned Beast Wars, I'm kinda getting a protoform Optimus Prime vibe.
Bring out your Sasquatch baf (if you have one) and have Apollo and Sasquatch fight each other. It’ll look like that time when Box and Sasquatch fought each other.
I don't know that you'll see this on such an old vid but you mention trying to army build him. Currently available on the toy notch site. I finally have mine on its way
Seems you have your Astrobot posed very firmly on his HEELS. That is never good. If possible always pose your figures over their foot arches more toward but not on the balls of their feet. The slight adjustment is nearly imperceptible under most circumstances. I figured it out as a kid playing with my GIJoes, where such fine tuning was possible. these big HIGHLY posable 1/12s, it should be no problem with some practice.
I really really hope they release more and different design of this line because the articulation is just 10/10 .

Dude when you compared it to the synthetic human it screamed buddy cop story lol two synthetics out protecting the innocent!
One is big and gentle, & and the other one is living life on the edge. Metal justice
Wow! it's a Masterpiece, I can't even imagine how he would look with some metallic paint apps. As always Great review.

Just up for release preorder. The articulation looks crazy. I’ve seen folks balancing him on one hand.

I might get Argus for my birthday but I don’t know when it would get to me
I don't have the ability, but I smell incoming Metallo customs.
sanshoryu you have the ability just not the patience to do it well or the skill to do it fast

That thumbnail is like: “I’ll show you the ritualistic dance of my people”
That is amazing!!! I'm definitely getting that figure in my collection.
At the end I wish there wss a picture of him n Robox together.
Wow. This looks amazing. Imagine different color ways for Apollo! X-Men Sentinel and Hydra green and yellow just for starters.
I was thinking BRAINIAC too.
I can see making an amazing Robo-Hulk out of this

I don't know that you'll see this on such an old vid but you mention trying to army build him. Currently available on the toy notch site. I finally have mine on its way

Waka The fingers on mine are very tight and could def hold just about anything within reason
What did Michael bay do to the Milano spaceship?!?!
I hope you know BBTS currently has both Apollo and Argus up for pre-order again. Get 'em before they're gone!

If you can customize that... Use can use lothan from rf online game..acretia race.. so good
Hasbro transformers could learn a lot with these guys
Thanks for another great review man! Quick question...what do you use to keep your figures clean please?😎
FillerBunny NinjaShark Thanks for the tip!😉
got mine today.
Wow am go buy one of these
I want one of those
Articulation is amazing
Why does it looks like papyrus from undertale but with beefy legs and no cape
I think the figure would look a bit better, if it had longer legs.
Nah, the longer legs give it a more cartoony feel. Plus, the length of the legs may off put the balance.
Buen vídeo hermano, saludame por favor segundo en comentar, gracias por compartir. Saludos desde Honduras.
I gotta get me one! 😃
Omg I want one so bad
