Frank Sinatra warned Debbie Reynolds about Eddie Fisher. Elizabeth Taylor was wrong but like Reynolds had her own set of problems. Eddie openly lusted for Taylor. There are photos of Elizabeth Taylor, Mike Todd, Eddie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds together and Eddie is staring hard at Elizabeth. He deliberately pursued Taylor when she was very vulnerable. The perfect karma for Eddie was Elizabeth later admitting she fell for Eddie because it kept the memory of Mike Todd alive. Once she mourned him, dumped Eddie for Richard Burton and eventually made up with Debbie Reynolds while Eddie Fisher had no one and lost everyone.
Great video but a couple of notes here: - Debbie Reynolds was NOT bipolar. If Carrie developed Bipolar disorder, it was more than likely from Eddie Fisher. Eddie was a character so to speak and pretty much cheated on all of his wives and even close to the end of his life he was still being messy. - Debbie wanted more children after she had Todd and Carrie but had 2 miscarriages. There is even this weird story where Debbie even asked Carrie at one point if she could be her surrogate....yes Debbie wanted to have a child for Carrie. Oh and she was basically asking her that cause Carrie herself had a miscarriage a few years before Billie was born. - Harry Karl was married to Marie "The Body" Mcdonald before Debbie. Marie "The Body" Mcdonald was a tempestuous woman who was married nearly as many times as Kim Kardashian and died of a pill overdose. Debbie ended up raising the 3 kids that Marie had with Karl while they were married. - Billie Lourd(Debbie's granddaughter) actually ended up dating Austin(Elizabeth's grandson) for a time. I don't know if that was the guy that she married though...cause she is married now and has 2 little ones. - Mike Todd was NOT going to stay married to Elizabeth Taylor if he had lived. There was a 25 year age between those 2 and he was known to be abusive in the previous 2 marriages that he had. Oh and after the way that he treated Joan Blondell, I don't know why the hell Elizabeth even gave him a chance. - There is a woman by the name of Patricia Kelly. Patricia Kelly is the last wife of Gene Kelly and she is literally like maybe 20 years younger than him. Patricia Kelly was on Facebook about 12 years ago and she said that Michael Jackson wanted to work with Gene Kelly before he died.....but his team blocked it for some reason. Patricia never really went into the reason for it....but she kind of implied that MJ's own team was sabotaging his opportunities at one point. I am going to take a guess here and say that the reason for it has nothing to do with Pat not wanting MJ to have some access to Gene Kelly's archives. Oh and I say that because during the time that La-La Land was being released, Patricia Kelly got on facebook and said that she let Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone into her home to access Gene Kelly's archives. - There is a wonderful documentary called "Bright Lights" that came out about 4 months after Carrie and Debbie died and it's definitely a must-see fan for any fan of the 2. -Todd Fisher is married to Catherine Hickland. Catherine Hickland is Lindsay from OLTL. - Debbie's divorce from that last husband of hers along with the failure of her casino left her almost financially destitute for a while. It wasn't until Debbie discovered that someone was stealing old costumes from Hollywood studios and she brought the costumes off this person and sold them at auction that she became financially stable again. I am not too sure about this...but I think that Debbie was even in posession of Judy Garland's red slippers from "The Wizard Of Oz" at one point. - I think that Debbie probably did make some mistakes as a parent(as all parents do) but I believe she cared wholeheartedly about her children. Debbie and Carrie lived right next door to each other and in the "bright lights" documentary, you could see that even at Carrie's advanced age, Debbie was still extremely concerned about her daughter's well-being. - Carrie went through a lot of hell in the industry. There were even blind items that came out maybe the year that she died or some months beforehand that said she was still using drugs and even having promiscuous sex. I still think that Carrie was one of the greats and that "Wishful Drinking" is a great comedy special/book and that she should be celebrated for her writing and her contribution to film culture as a whole, instead of a stupid role that she did in '77 where she looks like she has donuts on her hair.
Probably because Mike Todd spoiled Elizabeth like crazy and he was more exciting than Michael Wilding who she got with after she wanted something calmer after her abusive first marriage.
She’s truly an unsinkable icon. So funny, so strong and a SUPERSTAR in every sense of the word. P.S. I love her range of impressions and accents. My favourite is her Meryl Streep impersonation.
I loved Debbie Reynolds in her performance The unsinkable Molly Brown. It was a great movie. There were many dance numbers, and songs. It seems like a difficult part. She worked for many years in Las Vegas to pay back millions that the husband gambled away. It was reported he went through 60 million in 10 years. He gambled everything away and including her money and including more debt to the mob and Debbie had to sing and dance to pay that back for years
Although I had long suspected it, when I heard of what happened w/DR the day after Carrie passed *confirmed* for me that yes, *you can die of a broken heart.* Also, what you don't know CAN hurt you as evidenced by Debbie's inexperience w/dating and men. While I understand the irony of her business venture, I do get it entirely: back in the 50's/60's that was big and lucrative business...even more than movies as it was a steady stream of income. She and Dorothy Dandridge will always represent some of the most tragic lives lived. P.S.: You mentioned K. Cottrell...could you possibly do a story on her. I remember seeing the genealogy documentary on her mother and her father (Kim's grandfather) and it was heart-breaking but find her story rather fascinating as well.
Strong and resilient lady indeed. As an older Millennial in love with old Hollywood, I saw her as a staple in the industry. Also grew to love her in the Halloweentown movies. But I mostly looked up to her for being able to bounce back from many heartbreaking setbacks and still maintain grace and wit. Even remembered when she did that movie with Liz Taylor in their later years. My heart hurt when both daughter and mother passed but I think we all knew they just couldn't live without one another; it just had to happen. Her legacy lives on.

My theory is that Debbie probably was holding on to life bc of her daughter. She was worried about her. Once Carrie finally left this world, Debbie was at rest. Her daughter was finally safe.
I met her once when I was 9 when her daughter was filming a movie in the late 70s. I didn’t know much about her but my mother told me to go up to her car and get an autograph from her. This was a wonderful video. I'm a new subscriber and am really enjoying your content. I was never a member of the daughters of the Eastern Star but I remember seeing the beautiful rings the women wore when I was little and how I really wanted one Lol
I too was in Job's Daughters. But I came from a Catholic upbringing, so we had no affiliation with Freemasonry. I was about 10 years old in 1980, and my little girlfriend down the street was in it, and her whole family were Freemasons, and I guess my friend asked my mom if I could become a Job's Daughter.......so the way I got in was that my step dad's step dad was a Freemason, so I think they got him to write a letter to the Bethel I would belong to in the city where we lived. We went on retreats and trips, and the secret meetings kinda felt like going to church. I stopped going when I was about 12. But it worked out because by then, I had sort of become a punk rocker, and cut my hair really short, so I wouldn't have been able to bobbie pin the little purple and white thingy anymore on my head.
That Job's Daughters was a thing back on the day. My great uncle who was given the medal of honor at Pearl Harbor was talking to my grandfather about me becoming one. I think he had th connections needed. I had no idea what it was back then.
My grandfather was a Mason, and my sister, a Job's daughter, and we were Christian. The origin of the Masons began as they were architects who figured out how to make beautiful vaulted ceilings for the churches in Europe that were strong , safe, and long-lasting. This is why they kept their group secret, they wanted those lucrative commissions so it was a private club. This is also why their symbol is the compass and straightedge. It was not just about money, however, but also integrity, honesty, and hard work. They gave back and helped the local communities a lot with all kinds of charitable works. The Eastern Star was the women's division, and Job's daughters were for the young girls, so when the men went to their meetings, there was a place for all family members.
They worship Lucifer. It is an occult secrete society. The smokescreen is what was described earlier. There are curses on the Mason's bloodline due to the many vows they take. I'm sorry for her and children. All that glitters is not gold. She had everything, but really a broken life. She was betrayed 3 times. That is hard.
Debbie Reynolds was a really "Pretty Girl" even as she aged, she was very talented & poised. She definitely was mistreated by unHolyweird! *STANDARD OP!!!😒😔🧐
She always kept her sense of humor and she was funny! I would’ve been bitter, but she just kept picking herself up time and time again. I’m glad she’s with Carrie. They lived next door to each other and were so close.
It makes no sense that a Nazarene member would be affiliated with Masons, although we have to be careful not to conflate Masons with Freemasons, which are the same only in name.

She was awesome to played a witch 🧙on Disney’s Halloweentown 🎃throwback flick that I was grew up to watch multiple of times. Rest In paradise 🙏🏾💛
Thanks a lot the second of my best actress after Jane Powell so nice and good funny & beautiful & clever actress
my enemy is my friend because they have no power over me. Debbie dug her ditiches & made the best of her dream.
Good Morning is my favorite song.
R.I.P Debbie and Carries both were icons ❤❤❤. Both were gone too soon.
ThT is the surface. What lies underneath is deeply diabolical.
That’s not even close.
But all the rest is very cultish.
Debbie Reynolds was a really "Pretty Girl" even as she aged, she was very talented & poised. She definitely was mistreated by unHolyweird! *STANDARD OP!!!😒😔🧐
I worked for Warner Brothers back in the 70’s
Mason's have yearly dues. If they were all in different types of masonic groups they would've had to pay those dues.
19:34 very weird probably why it didn’t work out
Masonic Childhood what bullshit!
💔
23:44 nothing compared to a child lose
She always kept her sense of humor and she was funny! I would’ve been bitter, but she just kept picking herself up time and time again. I’m glad she’s with Carrie. They lived next door to each other and were so close.
RIH Beautiful Angels 😇🙏😇
I'm sorry were husbands' the only ones going to places like casinos? 😮 Ppppfffftttt either way that wasn't Debbie's business or concern 🤷🏽♀️.
She was definitely a style Icon 💐💐💐
😊
Christian and mason are two different like black dark and white light
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
It's not our place to judge.
Star wars has always been with me. My 3rd vision. Was of a picture. I was 6. Religion is a mental illness.
It makes no sense that a Nazarene member would be affiliated with Masons, although we have to be careful not to conflate Masons with Freemasons, which are the same only in name.
As far as I know, unless we are talking about actual construction workers, mason and freemason are the same thing
@@baraksteady1341 They are the same, and most of what you find online about the fraternity is BS.
Can you, please, when you get the chance do a video on Fran Drecher, The Nanny
