This is a brilliant track & I saw them perform this one live before the album was released. They had issues with the release so the tour carried on and they did a brilliant job & stunning performance with Stay On These Roads, This Alone Is Love & this one weee the ones previewed as highlights from the forthcoming album at the time. Great 2 hour show at the Edinburgh Playhouse !! Still love them today !!! Awesome !! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🥂🥂🥂🥂😘😘😘🎵🎷🎶🎼🥃🥃🥃🥃👏👏
I like this song and the video was recorded in Deauville France 🎉🇫🇷 i use to listen the live version from 1991 with Mags playing harmonica and Pâl solo guitar. This one is awsome, love it 💜
After Scoundrel Days Paul realized they needed some catchy hits and this is one of the songs that was created with that in mind. Although they sought a more mature audience, they did not want to lose the young girls along the way. As they said later on, the girls grew up, and many of them have followed the band ever since. It's so fun to see old videos of a-ha performing this song when it came out. They show such joy on stage, come together on the chorus and rock out. A-ha might not like the song today, but it was fun back then.
Magne once said, in retrospect many years after, that the video is so corny, the song it self is a good song. I think they show that on their live tour in South America.
I just listened to a new interview with Thomas Robsahm, who directed A-ha the movie, and he told that they had some of the songs on the album Stay on these roads ready when the first album came out, and I guess this song is one of them. The interview is to be found on the Rock Docs channel.
No need to do always complicated songs. Good structure, great instrumentation, simpe lyrics. But it works. Not my favourite, but I appreciate it a lot. In darkest hours it lifts you up.
This is a song I do not go back to often (I don't mind it, it's catchy). Love the vid yet, looks like Monty Pythons were born in Norway (Paul getting out of the tent trying for rain, Magne trying out women's hats) I think the band don't think much of it today and one song they consider even less is "You are the one". I'm glad you still dig into a-ha's repertoire.
The one song a-ha themselves despise, and refused to play live again after their South America tour of the 90's. It's a good song, and catchy, but the band felt it to be meaningless, and was kept on the album at the insistence of the record execs...
I love a-ha, but, this is not one of my favorites from them. Since you like synths and upbeat danceable pop, you really should check out their song “Love Is Reason”. Much better IMO than this track.
One of their punchiest synth-pop hits. I love it.
Everyone is lucky to have A-ha in their lives. 😃😄😀
Musically it is a gem! And the play on meanings between touchy as in sensitive and touchy as in I like to touch is so divinely playful!!!
I read in A-ha Down the Tracks that it had to do with allergies :)
Nice to see one of my favorite songs from a-ha back on the channel. Band deserved more love in America.
They have sooooo many catchy songs.
Thank you!!! A cheerful tune, not every a-ha song is gloomy. I like them all! 😊🎶🇳🇴

One of few feel-good songs from a-ha, make it fun to listen to 😁😊
Carefree late '80s.Everyone just wanted to have fun.

Love Aha, Love This reaction.

Touchy is my favorite a-ha song. ❤❤❤

but the video shows their funny side and that they can be goofy---like You Are the One also :)@@lunalairTM
Great song, great hit for A-ha.

Its a happy song
This song works live so good, they performed it always in a more rock version in the concerts and it was always fantastic
You can try Samantha Fox with « Touch me «
And Alyson Moyet with « Love resurection » 🙏🏻
You’re face near the end! It’s so much fun isn’t it?! 😀
I agree---a Fun song ---so many like to bash on it but it is pure pop fun!!! :)

They are not happy about this video, but i like it a lot! It's a product of it's time, so funny.
It wasn’t a top 10 in the uk 😂 it was number 11
True, as it can be seen on the UK charts. But number 11 is not bad at all. almost the same.
True, but was a hit regardless so all good! 😃
Um, 😂! Careful now! P. S. Looks like France is Touchy!

Depeche Mode will be back , in 2023 , with a new album , "Memento Mori" and a World Tour. That is very great !
Un titre qu'on croirait tout juste sorti des usines STOCK/ATKEN/WATERMAN.😉
One of their lighter songs. Honestly I think they just wanted to have fun. Not my favourite, but Morten....
The live in South America is the best version of this song
@@markwebster7435 so agree :)
