not gonna lie - it feels so overwhelming right now. there are a million companies, a million things i want to try, and i get conflicting information - to hunker down and master one thing, but then i feel passions bubbling up in something else and end up spreading myself too thin.
this was so helpful and loved your take on this. i'm in my 20s, a little lost, and thinking about skills each day.

    • @Brainspoil
      @Brainspoil 9 месяцев назад +35

The fact that you are thinking about this, in your 20s, trying to find your path, is so much more than 98% of people your are are doing.
Don't panic too much. Try things out, learn a little here an there. Once you feel confidently about a certain path, go for that. Even if you take a year or two to try things out, you will be far and above most others once you get going.

Completely agree. So many companies. New tools every day. There does not feel like a clear path to survival. That said, with just being aware of and current with AI you are well ahead of the bulk of humanity so that counts for something. Also think survival will come from being current and having some other subject matter of which you are knowledgeable. Best of times, worse of times indeed.

I live in a 3rd world country. I took an online software developer job that take me 2 hours to accomplish (with the help of AI ofc). I earn $1500 a month which is way too much for me(like a half year income relative to a normal worker in my country).
I end up playing video games or procrastinating on youtube 10-12 hours a day. I just don't get how you get bankrupt easily like what's being said on the video

I’m a plumbing apprentice working in a union building hospitals in Canada. I was watching this originally for my side hustle planning and business drafting but then decided to look up if AI could somehow affect plumbing and mechanical work… WOW was I surprised to hear how it’s in service dispatching, water management, and most surprising for me was to see it being used in detecting potential problems in mechanical systems 🤯 yea they may teach AI to hold a wrench one day but they’ll never have a heart like I do and that matters more and more

    Hi, Tina,
Thank you for the high quality content that you provide for us. I share some of your videos with my two sons, because they are 17 and 15 years of age and I want them to have an idea what is the situation with jobs and what qualifications they could get in the coming years in order to be successful. It is going to be hard for the future students to choose their majors, because everything is changing so fast, but universities and colleges will need more time to apply those changes to their student majors. I've personally just finished a two year Graphic design program and I feel so overwhelmed with all of the AI impacting our field and can hardly keep up with all of the new information and skills that I need to learn.

I am a Support analyst for a large technology company based in Austin Tx. I started in Tech support with the covid hiring surge and things have been grim since. More than 10k jobs cut, advancement opportunities are nonexistent, and we have been doing rolling quarterly layoffs for the last 2 years. Stock price is up 170% though!! I believe AI is a big part of this. They want more for less and cuts will continue as the automate more things. Stay away from big companies as an employee. especially publicly traded ones. if you do join one, get your money, save up, and dip.

i'd really like a video about how to start an ai business for people with no coding skills. do these people need to go back and learn coding or is there a way to start an ai business without that skill? or if coding is needed, how to get the skills quickly enough to compete with those people who grew up with learning a programming skill. thanks a lot!

Work in aerospace and spacecraft manufacturing. The supply chain side. Title is material control analyst. Mostly take raw data from the system and report it in a pretty and understanding way to stakeholders. I def need to see how AI can help me.

Would digital marketing or teaching be a good career to get into now? I’m considering pursuing marketing but my true dream job would to be a music teacher

Both are great areas that AI can do a lot for. Especially digital marketing where there are less rules surrounding it right now you can move quickly!
I think looking into how music is being developed with AI and how you can use it to augment your work is worth looking into!

I am a Software QA. I am focusing my efforts towards testing AI models and AI generated code. I figure that the current dev to QA ratio is going to shift as more companies start leaning into AI. Only problem now is that the code can be pretty trashy when it comes to working in complex systems so a QA that can perform QA on the model and the generated code might be pretty valuable .

I like to tag myself as a business data scientist. I am self employed now after several years in the industry. I am using gpt on a daily basis, and it helps me a lot. I do try to learn topics that it can't help me (llms and causal ai, for instance). I think it is also very important to learn about low code and no code solutions that can enhance your work and let you focus only on the things you are good at.
The 1-person-startup and one-man-army are terms that are going to be very relevant soon.

Love the video. Re inflation, though. From the high of 9% inflation back in June 2022, it has been on a consistent downward trend - at present 3%, and it has been around 3% for 8 months.

Yes will love to hear your thought on what you do or plan to do to leverage AI to build different businesses as an AI enthusiast and solo-preneur. I think at the moment, there are many people who know the importance to get themselves educated about AI but they are fearful and don't know where to start.

Most of people are ant workers. Only few of them can use people to generate more money. The thing is not fancy broaderly learning those fast-pacing ai skills but adjust the situation and find your position find your own-pace-of-life. In addition, focusing on doing your own work and having a overview of what AI is instead of feeling anxiety watching these abstract videos is significant important.
