iEquip was around well before Elden Ring and Elden Equip. Looking at the layout, I wouldn't be surprised that Elden Equip's functionality was adopted from iEquip. Just for posterity's sake.
I honestly question why I decided to call this mod "Elden Equip" when iEquip already exists. I could rename it at some point to clear up some confusion and because EE isn't a successor work of iEquip (it's more of an alternative) The only things I took from iEquip were its icons (with permission from dunc) and some core design ideas (with a few Elden Ring inspired functionalities such as the pouch system and dynamic visibility). EE isn't as complex as iEquip and it shouldn't be as a result of being easy to use and understand
I upgraded my system and spent the past month upgrading and testing my new mod list. Today I finally decided to play the game and this video showed up. Guess there are still several hours of modding before I could play XD
First let me say, I am 71 and have been playing the ES games since Daggerfall. I bought Skyrim back years ago when it came out and couldn't play it because my computer couldn't run it. I put it away and forgot about it and about a year ago I bought a new computer and dug it out and have been playing like crazy. I love mods. I used them in all the other ES games but unfortunately, I need the plug and play mods. When I have to copy and paste and do things like that I totally FUBAR the game. So I need MODs that have everything included and just need to be installed. I use Vortex since it is the easiest for me to deal with. Did I say I know just enough about computers to totally mess them up just by touching the keyboard. I bought all the expansions and upgrades and have them installed. I love the Wheel of Time Mod, it gives me a little spear maiden that follows me around and she doesn't count as a follower. She can go where followers cannot go and is always there with me. I also have most of the Serana mods. I love her as an NPC and I have her dressed in the Seducer Armor and the Spear Maiden dressed in the Saint Armor. i also love the "Nude" mods that remove the stupid underwear and leave the bodies naked. Both ladies look awesome in the metal battle bikini too. I would love to try the body mods but am afraid to because I don't want to mess up the game and am not sure how to install them. When I tried a couple the game went tilt and I had to download the whole game and start over. So I am leery of a lot of mods. I wish I had computer guru to set the game up with all the cool mods and bells and whistles so I could just play it.

Dude, your video couldnt have come at a better time. Im just coming back to modding skyrim after years, and now with a better pc im dabbling into enb and MO2. Thx for the vid
Some extra mods I think deserve a spotlight: Constructible Object Custom Keyword System - Extends on categories for smithing. This is a must-have if you use a lot of modded armor and weapons. The main problem of vanilla Sky-UI is the lack of specialized categories. You have seven total sections, which makes trying to find what you actually want a chore. This mod was recently patched for 1.5.97, which obviously makes it something you'd want if you use MCO. ConsolePlusPlus - Overhauls console commands. Every command you use is saved. Copying/pasting is also added as a feature. Inconvenient Dungeons - A very underappreciated mod. The vanilla dungeons are extremely easy, even when used with MCO/SCAR. Most exits are removed and the player will have to back-track. If you enable this feature, the player will have to fight enemies that spawn on the way back. This makes dungeons actually feel dangerous to enter. Draugr MCO/Hand-Placed Spawns - Bit of a self-promotion here, but if you want more draugr who can fight using SCAR movesets you should download that mod. By default, only a sparse amount of draugr will be able to use movesets. I've fixed that problem. Daegon - Lastly, I've picked a follower mod I think has great potential. The voice acting for this mod is sublime. She also has some great replacers which add to the beauty of a powerful high elf magic user. NFF is great, but if you don't want to use such a large framework, you can instead use Swiftly Order Squad, Simple Follower Extension, and Disable Follower Collision. I tend to use two or more followers and I think Daegon is the best in terms of lore and style.
Your videos helped me very much in modding skyrim to match my playstyle. Thanks for sharing amazing videos and also very thanks to the modding authors to create interesting and beautiful mods.
been quite a while since I cracked open skyrim, so I'm glad to see MCO and all the work everyone over at skyrimguild has been working on is moving along beautifully. Probably time to come on back soon. 😃
I would love to see someone do a Skyrim let's play, where one person has played Skyrim, but never modded it, and another person is an experienced modder, who builds a surprise loadorder for the first person.
Tnx Mern, now to wait for DAR to update because my current is fun enough as it is. This will just have be the used on the next playthrough with hopefully a lot more cool mods when I get to it.
I wish the community focuses more on first person combat like Dishonored or Dark Messiah, Skyrim isn't build for full third person combat in mind. If someday Nemesis is compatible with creature animations it will be really nice to see some improvements on Werewolf/Vampire Lord combat.
This video is perfect for me. I just started modding Skyrim AE (I used play on LE a few years back) and this is exactly what I needed! It's crazy how mods came a long way in just a few years!

When you close your eyes, you don't see total blackness. You see a little dots of light and shapes in a distance. You see cosmos and these little lights are stars. *Nice video, someone shared it and I really like the channel* 😀
Dude, your video couldnt have come at a better time. Im just coming back to modding skyrim after years, and now with a better pc im dabbling into enb and MO2. Thx for the vid
Thanks so much for this video. I'm only half way through and have already grabbed a bunch of mods
Oh boy the love I felt when I heard that outward music playing.
I JUST found out about creating new instances so I'm making a new mod list with a lot of your recommendations. Thanks for the quality videos 🔥
Some extra mods I think deserve a spotlight:
Constructible Object Custom Keyword System - Extends on categories for smithing.
Nordic Equip page moved to Nordic Equip Redone, you can find it in the Elden Equip "Mods requiring this file" section
Coming back to play skyrim in and I have to say, this list and the linked webpage has been super awesome!!! Thank you so much!!!
I wish I could just copy-paste your mods and load order. Holy hell, your modded Skyrim looks absolutely amazing.
Mern uploads make my day
Just really wanted to express my gratitude towards you, Mern. I've found so many amazing mods thanks to you and I adore my current mod list!
I've been a vanilla purist for years, but now...I want my Skyrim this amazing.
been quite a while since I cracked open skyrim, so I'm glad to see MCO and all the work everyone over at skyrimguild has been working on is moving along beautifully. Probably time to come on back soon. 😃
This is one of the best and most concise mod lists I've seen. I'm trying to get back into Skyrim and this is the video I needed.
Thanks mern I’ll add some of these to my list 🙏🔥🎁
I would love to see someone do a Skyrim let's play, where one person has played Skyrim, but never modded it, and another person is an experienced modder, who builds a surprise loadorder for the first person.
Hey I wanna thank you for being one of the content creators that still covers Skyrim mods!
My 330 mods setup works smooth without any crashes thanks to you sir. Those guides are lifesavers
This genuinely made my Christmas, Thank you!
Tnx Mern, now to wait for DAR to update because my current is fun enough as it is. This will just have be the used on the next playthrough with hopefully a lot more cool mods when I get to it.
Like your ad part so smooth and fun at all 😂
I've been watching many vids of you for modding skyrim... you're doing an amazing job man for real! Thanks
I wish the community focuses more on first person combat like Dishonored or Dark Messiah, Skyrim isn't build for full third person combat in mind.
If someday Nemesis is compatible with creature animations it will be really nice to see some improvements on Werewolf/Vampire Lord combat.
this is the best mod video I've ever seen. your editing and delivery is top notch. subscribed
Thx for this. Made a huge difference in my gaming. Much appreciated.
Currently rebuilding my mod list this list is helpful thanks

That artwork in the outro was exquisite!
This video is perfect for me. I just started modding Skyrim AE (I used play on LE a few years back) and this is exactly what I needed! It's crazy how mods came a long way in just a few years!
Awesome video man! I'm currently saving up for a new PC and boy will I be installing some of these mods. Keep making awesome videos!
a walkthrough on how your game is set up with mod compatibility so we can get the same gameplay experience as you without the pain of figuring out how to set it up on our own. that would be awsome!
The quality of your videos is amazing!!! You have a lot of potential, keep it up!
Outwards music goes well with this game/video, love the soundtrack
wow... thanks to you showing off all these cool mods i've gotta make a new modlist
When you close your eyes, you don't see total blackness. You see a little dots of light and shapes in a distance. You see cosmos and these little lights are stars. Falling asleep is actually you drowning deep into that cosmos, and immersing yourself into different reality of the alternative you, which is expressed in one of these distant star systems.
You get a like and a sub for creative thinking, on that hello fresh intro! I really enjoyed your video, and it is very helpful, thank you very much!
1:50 is that the outward monsoon theme? omega based
i thought the intro was a mod for skyrim but it was an actual ad for something irl lmao
