Powerwalker (not the specific model) was a frustration for me. I connected an Oled 55' TV and a TV decoder only, to a 480 Watt Powerwalker. When power current dropped, everything turned off, In the first year of ups life. I went it back and I bought other brand.

I don't believe that the fan will last for so long, just paper spec :) The fan is working when the UPS is charging, when the AVR is working, and when the battery is engaged. In most UPS the fan is only working when the battery is charging but in this one it works more often, to keep temps low, which is good.
It is important because the UPS can deliver more Watts, while it is in operation, because of the higher PF. The fan in this one, usually runs when the inverter is in operation or the battery charger is running for long.

they are excellent ups only thing not so good and the fan ... too noisy and above all not very long lasting ... I recommend changing it with a better one ..
Do you know of a smaller UPS that is good to power stuff like a mixer, headphone amp and small studio monitors that never play very loud, so they don't use much power. I get interference in my speakers, and thought a UPS could be nice for all the audio equipment just so maybe they don't get interference from everything else connected to the system. I looked at something like the Powerwalker VI 600 MS, but I don't know how good this is.
@@HardwareBusters Yeah. It seems online ones would be better for stuff that I'm thinking about powering (not audio stuff that pulls a lot of power). But I can't find any small ones of that, like 300W, only 1K and up, so they cost a lot.
@@HardwareBusters Thanks for the answer! I have one already, the cables are ~1,5m for the power cord and ~2m for the usb. I had to buy a 1,5m power cord extension (I actually went totally overkill, you could probably plug a concrete mixer to it and it would be fine) and use a 2m USB one. :D

Initially I found that one in Greek but a review was so good that I watched it even though I only understood the graphics :) I'm going to buy a single battery true sine UPS (I need it active only for working hours so thinking about using UPS software to schedule on/off actions) and so far found two candidates: 1) CyberPower CP900EPFCLCD - so cool that it takes only 0 W in standby and ~ 7 W in idle (source: your great review :)) but I'm concerned about the use of potentially conductive yellow glue (source: ruclips.net/video/9gqBzLNMFe4/видео.html) and a few Amazon customer reviews from the US (among a very big number) that say it started smoking and caught on fire. 2) PowerWalker VI 1000 CSW - I do not see the yellow glue in your review :) but there is something white, I hope this is something else. However, according to this review it takes ~ 13 W in standby. Do you know whether this also applies to time after switching it off programmatically (by scheduler set in ViewPower app)? I would like to reduce somehow power consumption during the nights when connected devices (monitor, laptop and modem) can be off. Could you tell me which one you would choose to reduce the risk of fire (which seems to use better quality parts)?
PowerWalker offers more for its price, compared to the Cyberpower unit you mention. Also all UPS devices I have tested so far have high power consumption in standby, unfortunately, even with their batteries full. This is a plaque! But since there are no UPS reviews, manufacturers can do whatever they want I guess. The only way to reduce power consumption on the UPS is to remove the power cord from it after you shut it down.

That's why I appreciate your work so much :) Maybe I will use a programmable socket timer switch as an automation for "power cord removal" as a workaround then :)

Probably the battery went bad too soon.

depends on the PSU's APFC conveter. Usually 1000VA will be ok.

budget UPS like the ones I have tested so far, may create problems to your audio equipment.

how is it possible it has 20ms switch time... It says it should have it like 6ms. I'm wondering if I should buy it but this time is horrible
I don't remember the exact switch time, but it is what I say in the video :) In most cases paper specs are not in line with real life.
I keep searching and can't find information online about it. How long are the power cable and included usb cable (if there's one)?
I don't remember but you can just use longer cables, especially the USB one.
