I loved this interview. Loved Nigel's portrayal of Malcom. Loved Vincent since Law & Order. But watchng GFoH did have me pause the movie often to check my facts. It even made me go back and re-read chapters of books I had on Malcolm X and his speeches. I re-listened to his speech titled "Bullet or the Ballot" which had me interested to learn more about the term "Colonialism" and the events of Revolutionary and Civil Wars. Of course when I was in school learning history wasn't that interesting but now as a man of a certain age, it held my attention. Malcolm's speeches are timeless and relevant today. Listening to his speeches are haunting, saddening, and inspiring. To me, stay woke has a whole new deeper meaning.

Both are great actors. Vincent is freaking amazing. I admire his range of acting. He really adopts the traits of each character her portrays.

great acting on this show. Can't believe the range Vincent has. I'm not wishing him to say "Vanessa!" while watching GOH at all which is amazing.

I remember seeing Nigel in an episode of Girlfriends. I immediately said he should play Malcolm X. That episode aired in the first season way before Selma and GOH. I couldn't think of a better look alike than him.

The Chin and Brother X!!! These two and ADC (Giancarlo Esposito) really set the tone for the show. I was ecstatic to watch the trailer and read articles about how X had a close friendship with Bumpy. It would be even more crazy if Redd Foxx's character shows up somewhere and Malcolm points him out and they laugh at old times just like what Bumpy and Malcolm did in the pilot. Malcolm ran with Redd Foxx and was a cellmate with Bumpy. Who would've known. Nigel comes very close to Denzel as he embodied Malcolm on a whole new level. I hope the show does not do a time jump and in the future, the second or third season stretches a whole year between 1964 and 1965, so we could see if Bumpy and Malcolm's friendship ended cause Bumpy refused to give up on his territory in Harlem, and what was the effect that Malcolm's assassination had on the whole Harlem community.

Man the amount of movement they doing with their hands let me know both their roles affected them personally. I don’t mean to sound like it’s a 100% fact but it’s crazy to have seen their performance and see them waiting to answer a question about the role.

first off i love the show and the history behind it. i am an itailian man. malcom was a great man gone too soon. i am wondering why in this interview they both look very uncomfortable though. the truth is the truth. let the truth be told.

Nigel played a very good Malcom X. It's a hard choice between him or Denzel. They both were very good. Ima go with Denzel though

Denzel did, after all, carry a feature film. but Nigel is first rate in this thing. great closing scene where he and Bumpy are looking out Malcom's windows, holding carbines. based on a real photograph. I guess there will be more, before Bumpy has his heart attack. I thought it was a perfect ending
