I used to mod the hell out of this game back when it was new and fresh. Hated Mafia being such a nuisance so i just edited the weapons.ini file (or whatever it was called) and nerfed Shotgun damage to the ground. It's not like Shotgun is useful anyway, you can pass this game using 3 weapons - uzi, M16 and rocket launcher. Gta 3 in general was very strict when it came to gangs hating you. So many hated you at the end. Mafia, Triads, Diablos, Cartel, Purple Nines, Yardies too i think. And Yakuza hatred was narrowly avoided when you posed as cartel guy during kenji assasination mission. In Vice City only Haitians hated you at the end game, in SA this problem was gone after you conquered all the gang territory.
The best alternative is when you complete the first mission, then find all the hidden packages at Portland. Once this is done, you have unlimited Pistol, Uzi Ammo and Grenades at your hideout. I am giving this advice for GTA 3 starters.

I started getting some in Staunton island after mission last requests I was curious if it’s easy to find after getting used to the town in Liberty City?
Can you t4y doing rampages in this game?Or any GTA game.Because you would probally be good at rampages (I'm not talk8jg about the scripted ones,I mean wanted level kind.)
Man, you should download SilentPatch it fixes Black Cars bug, just put all of it's content into Grand Theft Auto III folder except SilentPatchIII.ini, here's the link gtaforums.com/topic/669045-silentpatch/

You Can The Complete The Mission "Last Requests" But Do Not Start The Mission "Sayonara Salvatore" I Tried It Many Times
If you keep spawning at safe house just go back to Luigi's Salvatore will be there
