Hey Rick EPIC videos
I don’t see anyone reviewing so comprehensively and across the entire product line here. Can you review the 300? It’s definitely an upgrade in many areas, I think you can do connection with the messenger app now on the 300 in addition to triple the battery life and USB-C among with some other more advanced features for dog tracking. Would you say that if we compare the 200 or 300, there’s anything that you lose over the 67? Basically I wanna 67I that will also do dog tracking

I've been thinking I need to get the new Alpha 300i. Thanks for bringing it up and I'll get right on it.
As far as losing anything over the 67i, from what I've seen, the Alpha 200i does not have the same navigation capabilities as the 67i.

How does the dog tracking function work when there is no cell service? Do you have to download map screens beforehand like other tracking devices for when there is no cell service?

I have used this outside of cell service and the TopoActive maps are pre-loaded. You can download other maps or satellite imagery but you don't have to download maps outside cell service. It uses the satellites to track your location.

I have a Garmin 66i. I now have a lab for upland and considering getting the alpha 200i. Do you know if it have all the function on the 66i plus dog training features? Thinking I could sell the 66i if the Garmin alspha would work on my big game hunts in addition to the dog hunts.

There is a new Alpha 300i out and it has all of the important things that the 66i and the 67i have. I would use my 200i all the time when out with my dog.
You bring up a great point though. I'm going to create a new video comparison between the Alpha 300i and the 67i. That video won't be up for a few weeks but keep an eye out for it if you can wait that long.

@@outdooremergencytech Looking forward to that. I was hoping the 200i would be cheaper with the 300's available now, but they haven't dropped as much as Id hoped for. Merry Christmas
